Join Our Team
The KSU Writing Center welcomes applications from current KSU undergraduate and graduate students in any discipline. KSU Writing Assistants take part in an initial training program as well as ongoing professional development including opportunities to present at regional and national academic conferences.
Applicants should be superior writers who enjoy working with others and with a variety of texts; they must also meet the following criteria:
- have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- have at least two semesters remaining before graduation
current KSU undergraduate and graduate students as KSU Writing Assistants
To apply, log into Handshake and search for "KSU Writing Center Writing Assistant." In your application, you will need to include
- a brief letter of interest discussing experience or skills relevant to writing center work
- an academic (non-creative) writing sample
- the names of two KSU faculty members familiar with your writing
