AI Tools Currently Available Through KSU

  • Microsoft Copilot is an AI-driven assistant built into Microsoft 365 applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. It boosts productivity by helping users create content, analyze data, build presentations, and manage emails using simple, natural language commands.

    For KSU students, faculty, and staff, Microsoft Copilot is the only AI tool that guarantees data protection. To keep your information secure, you must log in at copilot.microsoft.com using your KSU email and password. Ensure the Enterprise Data Protection icon appears in the top-right corner—this confirms your data is encrypted and never used to train the AI.

    • Recommended Tasks: Drafting documents in Word, analyzing data in Excel, creating presentations in PowerPoint, managing emails in Outlook, automating routine tasks across Microsoft 365 apps.

  • Adobe Firefly is a family of creative generative AI models that allow users to generate images, text effects, and other creative content from simple text prompts. It integrates seamlessly with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, making it a powerful tool for designers and content creators. 

    Adobe trains its Firefly model on licensed and public domain content to ensure it’s safe for commercial applications.

    Adobe Firefly is available as part of Adobe Creative Cloud; pricing varies based on subscription plans. Adobe Creative Cloud is available on computers in KSU classrooms and labs. Additionally, KSU employees have access to Creative Cloud on desktopsoftware.kennesaw.edu.

  • Turnitin is an academic integrity tool that uses AI to detect plagiarism and ensure the originality of student submissions. It is widely used in educational institutions to maintain academic standards.

AI Resources at KSU

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) has compiled a list of resources, including trainings and course, articles, and videos.

The Digital Learning Innovations (DLI) unit provides resources for faculty to learn how to utilize Generative AI and stay productive, as well as for supporting instructional practices.

Consult the University Libraries for a collection of AI tools and tutorials to improve the literature searching and review process.

The Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences (RCHSS) published a Generative Artificial Intelligence Toolkit.
