Current Known Impact
Construction work is still underway in the area where contractors accessed the conduit for repairs. This is located along the sidewalk path between the Engineering Lab and Design 1 Buildings. Please avoid this area, as it contains broken concrete, heavy machinery, and deep trenches.

Timeline
Contractors will continue to work on this project through the end of the week.

For safety, please advise patrons to use alternate routes and avoid the affected sidewalk.

Update - Current Known Impacts:
The outage will fully impact Marietta, including:
-Access to on-premises systems and services that depend on campus networking
-Wired and wireless network connectivity
-The academic and administrative buildings, except the Recreation and Wellness Center, on the Marietta Campus are currently without heat and hot water.
-The Academic Building (H) currently has no power and is closed.
-Some elevators on the Marietta Campus are temporarily out of service during this time.
-The Johnson Library is also closed.
-Big Owl Bus service remains available between both campuses.
-Students with classes on the Marietta Campus should contact their faculty or login to D2L regarding any changes to their classes during modified operations.

If your area contains sensitive equipment, it is advisable to store it in the Recital Hall or an alternative location.

Scheduled - Contractors begin work on July 15 in public areas on the 1st and 2nd floors from 5:00–9:00 AM to minimize disruption. Starting July 21, daytime work (7:00 AM–4:00 PM) will be scheduled with occupants. The project upgrades lighting to improve energy efficiency through LED fixtures, automation, and dimming, reducing energy use. Existing fixtures will be replaced, and new controls installed, potentially causing temporary outages and limited access. Vacating sections will expedite progress. Work will proceed from the 1st to the 5th floor, with possible weekend shifts. Project managers will coordinate and provide updates.

Scheduled - From Friday, November 21, to Wednesday, November 26, KSU Road between Marietta Drive and Paulding Avenue, including both sidewalks, will be closed for Summit II construction. Visitor Lot A will also be closed during this period. Please follow posted detour signs and use Marietta Drive as an alternate route.
This closure may affect Big Owl Bus shuttle routes, including service for the home football game on Saturday, November 22. For real-time updates, use the Passio GO! app. For questions or concerns, contact [email protected].
