The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science degree provides you with the foundations of computer science and applications in the computing and data science industry. Core technology teaching areas include programming, computer architecture, operating systems, networking, information assurance and security, big data, machine learning, data mining, cloud computing, database systems, and software engineering.
In the computer science program, you will gain a strong foundation in computing principles such as the design of programming languages, data structures, and operating system principles. Incorporated into many of the major courses are mathematics components and mathematics concepts.
A certificate in Robotics Programming is also available. Computer science majors are strongly advised to take advantage of this new option for credentialing their academic accomplishments.
