I bought a Ford Ranger from Cazoo
at Autohub in Leeds on the 10th November 25
I traveled down to Leeds from Edinburgh in my Range Rover evoque that I was trading in for the Ranger.
The advert on the Cazoo site had said that the Ranger had a lot of service history but when I arrived in Leeds after my 4 hour drive the Ranger wasn’t ready, the salesman was in a panic emptying all his personnel belongings out of it, ushering me out of the way to this little shed area he ordered two workers to clean it.
While doing the paperwork I asked about the service history as there was no paperwork for this, he explained that the service history papers were at another garage because he was in the middle of moving premises but he would post them to me the following day.
There was also a nice bonnet wind fin and a remote control for the winch in the photos of the advertisement and when I questioned the whereabouts of these again he gave me the same answer about being at the other premises and they would also be posted.
I found myself chasing him up at least 3 times a week asking where these parts were and more importantly the proof of service history I was determined to keep pestering him on a daily basis and this went on for 3 weeks I waited a bit longer and on the 8th of December I decided to text him again and just ask politely if he intended sending me the parts and the service history, I got an aggressive reply back straight away asking me if I had proof that he said the Ford Ranger had service history or proof of the original advert with the parts obviously he knew that he had taken the advert down after the sale.
Basically he had lied from the start.
Today the 9th of December I noticed that he has advertised my old car that I had traded for the Ford Ranger he has the Range Rover evoque advertised with full service history and he has it advertised as the Khan edition which are more than double the price of a standard evoque.
I can assure you that this Range Rover evoque does not have full service history because I bought it back in 2022 with part service history and in the 3.5 years I had it I didn’t service it at all so this seller is ready to rip another customer off with the same lies.
As for advertising it as the Khan edition is a complete lie and an attempt to rip someone off big time, this is only a Khan facelift on a standard evoque, he has priced it as an original Khan edition with a full service history.
Please go on the Cazoo site and look at the actual advert so you don’t get conned.
Search Range Rover evoque, filter max price at £12,000 and minimum price at £10,000 tick the colour to white and you will see it,
It’s the one that has the word Khan on the bonnet, black and cream seats and overpriced at a £11,495

If you do your homework and look at other Range Rover evoque’s on a 15 plate you will see they are a few thousand pound cheaper.
I have notified Cazoo so they can take the advert down and protect their customers but so far they have not acted on this.

I purchased a car for my daughter in August. The salesman was very helpful and we negotiated a deal for a vauxhall Mokka. Since buying it she has had numerous issues. When I visited she asked me to check the engine oil etc which I did. It had clearly not been serviced as promised. She then had an issue with the water coolant and thermostat and paid out for this. A few days ago she had more warning lights and was told not to drive as there were serious problems. So.disappointing that I used a site that I thought would help me buy a reliable car. She is a one parent family and doesn't have the funds to get another car.

Im pretty sure the messaging service doesn't work, Ive messaged several garages and no reply.
I know autotrader also had this issue at one point.
Yes, it could be the garage, but surely not all garages would not respond to buyers.

In response to the below email. Cazoo operate with dodgy car dealers such as RS Motors Nottingham that are not regulated by the Motor Ombudsman so when this is an issue they can just brush you off with a statement that this is the first time the gave had a compliant about this company when the is clear and lots of bad online reviews about this particular.
So please trade very careful when dealing with this dealer and others

It was quite easy to use. And you can see a wide range of used affordable vehicles. Any vehicle that's not been cleared has a warnings so you don't purchase a stolen vehicle.
