One-Day Immersive WCAG Orientation
This one-day event was designed to orient division leadership on the scope and practice of digital accessibility in compliance with DOJ’s recent regulation establishing the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as the official standard for all digital content, communication, and applications.
Participants were given a broad overview of digital accessibility, what it means, and the value and urgency of compliance. After this overview, they had the opportunity to attend four breakout sessions demonstrating digital accessibility across multiple common platforms. They were also exposed to methods and resources for understanding the accessibility capacity and limitations of any third-party applications used by the University. This is especially helpful when making acquisition decisions.
Participants were also drected where they can go for extended resources and extensive training.
Files from all of the sessions are available below. As recordings of the sessions become available, they will be added as well.

Before you attend, be sure you have viewed the Digital Accessibility and You Module!
