I bought a domain with them iver.it i searched the availability, chose it, and paid the money, but they didn't deliver. Because I was suspicious, I checked the availability, and the domain became unavailable. They just did not deliver, and after a couple of messages with customer service, they told me you have transferred the domain, you did not buy it. i went through the whole process; it was not my first time buying, and from then till now, this domain became unavailable and gone. They did not even refund. They put the money on their dashboard, and I asked for a withdrawal, but nothing has happened yet. Be careful, if they like your domain, they probably take it themselves and tell you you were transferring the domain you don't have

Obtuse extension policies

Obtuse extension policies. Extending your subscription 45 days before expiration date and with an unhelpful customer service. The price of subscription has grown 200% since I got my domain as well.

Very tricky extension practices

Very tricky extension practices. Can only cancel 45 days prior to extension date. They don't send a reminder. And the extension comes with a massive price hike.

When raising a ticket about this (at day 44 prior to extension), there is no flexibility and a reasonably unfriendly suggestion of "go check the policies on our website".

These are extortionate practices, and would never recommend doing business with them.

Unexpected surprise when your domain is extended 45-day prior end-date. When you have a debate over this, they mention that they don't want to have the risk themself that the extension is made and it won't be paid by their customers .

Come-on I've already give them by bank-account details for automatic payment. Furthermore, why other registrars are able to do it in less than a month. If feels that they try to lock you in earlier (for a much higher extension fee!)

I don't like theses kind of practices. Therefore i rate this company untrustworthy and i moved all my services to an open and trustworthy domain provider (in case you want to know ... mijn.host)

Very Disappointed – Poor Support, Unwanted Renewals, and No Refunds

I've had a very disappointing experience with Vimexx. Their customer support has been unhelpful and slow to respond, and when they do, they often fail to provide clear or actionable assistance.

What’s worse, they automatically extended my domain without any prior notice 45 days in advance, which is not only against best practices but feels like a deliberate attempt to lock users in. There was no clear reminder or chance to opt out before they charged me.

When I reached out to cancel and request a refund for the unwanted renewal, they outright refused. Apparently, even if the renewal wasn’t requested, there’s no flexibility or consideration from their side.

I do not recommend Vimexx to anyone looking for transparent, customer-friendly service. There are far better and more reliable providers out there.

I’ve been very satisfied with this web hosting provider for several years now. So far, I’ve had no issues and I’m very positive about their customer service. I just submitted a question and received a response shortly after. I wasn’t aware that I needed to cancel a domain name (automatic renewal). Vimexx was lenient and still gave me the opportunity to cancel the product. This saved me €64. Thank you, Vimexx!

You probably will get billed without notice

If you buy a cheap domain for €2 to try something out last year, even if you don't have an automatic billing address, they'll still send you a bill of €71 45 days in advance without a single attempt of being transparent about it (mails, warnings, etc) until it's too late. It's under the guise of 'making sure services stay up reliably', but of course they don't give you the ability to cancel it on the spot. Scummy practices and judging by the other responses not even a great service.

I’m writing to express my deep…

I’m writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I’ve received.
I have been a loyal customer for many years and have always paid my invoices. In January, I paid €100 as usual. I then mistakenly paid a small remaining amount of €20 too late (5 weeks too late), and now I am being charged €150 to get my account out of quarantine otherwise, I am told my email + domain will not function for six weeks.

This is extremely frustrating, especially since I’ve sent several emails asking for help and have not received any meaningful support in return. I now feel forced to pay the €150 simply to regain access, which feels entirely unfair and disproportionate.

I would appreciate it if you could review this situation urgently and offer a fair resolution. I expect better from a company I’ve trusted for so long.

Misleading “Free” Domains, Forced Renewals & Unhelpful Support

I originally purchased a .nl domain, and Vimexx sneakily added a ‘free’ .online and .site domain to my cart without my consent.

Fast forward a year later—I receive a shockingly high invoice of €1,408.85(!!!) because those “free” domains were automatically renewed at €52.99 and €39.59 each, without my approval.

🚨 Major Issues:
1. I NEVER enabled auto-renewal, yet Vimexx renewed the domains anyway.
2. No clear warning about the outrageous price jump—a free promotional domain suddenly costs over €50?
3. Misleading subscription model—you must cancel 45 days in advance, but they don’t send proper reminders.
4. Same unhelpful support agent (‘Indir’) responds to all tickets and refuses to assist.
5. This is not an isolated incident—many others report the exact same experience!

Vimexx lures customers in with “free” extras, only to trap them in an auto-renewal scheme with absurd renewal fees. Their support is dismissive, simply copy-pasting links to their T&Cs instead of actually helping.

Right now I would advise to avoid Vimexx until they fix this problem. If you’re already a customer, check your auto-renewal settings NOW before you get hit with an unexpected and unfair bill.

They use a scam where they don’t send you an email notifying you that, for example, your subscription will end in a month and that you need to pay again. They also don’t mention how much it costs. Suddenly, I received an email stating that I had to pay, and that otherwise, they would send a debt collection agency. Be careful with this website...

Scammy subscription model

They are using a scammy subscription model where if you don't cancel 45 days before a product expires, they renew it automatically and you are stuck with it for another year. To prevent people from opting out of this automatic renewal, they use misleading language for it - they ask you to "cancel" your products. Smart but very dishonest. The people working at this company should be ashamed they are associated with it.

Hi Gnomeo!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It seems you were unaware about the 45 renewal period. In your Vimexx account, you can find the exact date when an autorenewal will start without any cancelation. You can cancel products any time before this date.

I've tried to find the right Vimexx account under the name Gnomeo, but sadly we can't seem to find it. Is it possible to reach out to us about this matter? Please refer to this review. We are happy to look into this.

The Worst Business Experience

I purchased a domain name and hosting package and used it for three years. As the expiration date approached, I received multiple emails from Vimexx to renew my contract, including the domain name. I chose not to renew, planning to let the contract expire and then transfer my domain to another provider as we wanted to build a new website with a different infrastructure.

However, Vimexx did not offer the standard 30-day grace period for the domain after expiration. Instead, they immediately took control of my domain name. They claim in their terms and conditions that they have the right to take such action, but this clause was buried in a lengthy, 20-page document that most customers, including myself, cannot realistically be expected to study in detail.

To make matters worse, when I attempted to retrieve my domain, Vimexx demanded an exorbitant fee to move it back from their quarantine. This practice feels more like a mafia method of extorting money from customers than a legitimate business practice. It is unethical and incredibly frustrating.

Additionally, the practice of not providing a grace period contradicts common industry standards and ICANN guidelines, which typically include a grace period for domain renewal after expiration.

Instead of resorting to such underhanded tactics, Vimexx should focus on improving its services and generating revenue through customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Overall, this experience has been highly frustrating and resulted in losing my domain. This is the worst business experience in my long development career.

Hey Bojan!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. First and foremost, we're sad to read the frustration and inconvenience you've encountered. We understand how important your domain is.

While our terms and conditions do outline the procedures around domain expiration and renewal, we recognize that these can be difficult to navigate and understand fully. Especially since every provider has their own contracts with a registry.

We are sorry that this has led to such a negative impression of our company. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further and explore any possible solutions to help resolve the issue. Is it possible to reach out to us so we can help you further with your case? We're looking forward to a reply!

Domain renewal is a money trap.

Domain renewal is done 45+ days in advance. You will not receive a reminder and you will be forced to pay. Be careful with the free offered domain names.

We cancelled the domains prior to their renewal however they billed us full amount. We requested a refund from them however their support is not helpful. We are currently in the process of moving our domains to another service provider and advise others considering Vimexx to not use them.

Response to Vimexx response:
Vimexx requested me to contact them. I am in contact with their customer service that simply says these are our T&Cs. We cannot help you further.

Their business practices remain non transparent and deceitful.

Forced auto-renewal, but resolved through support

My experience below has been resolved by helpful support member Tim from Vimexx. They showed goodwill and allowed me to cancel the auto-renewal, that's why I upgraded this from a 1 to a 3 star review. The actual service I used (a domainname) worked without a hitch.

--------
Bought a .nl domain for 1 year on January 19th 2023. Vimexx planted a .online domain with the same name in my shopping cart for free, I didn't think much of it. Cost of renewal for the .nl domain was shown as about €5, the .online domain was around €50. No problem I thought, I don't want to renew anyway.

Fast forward to beginning of December 2023: I get an e-mail that auto-renewal was attempted, but failed due to insufficient funds in my wallet. They expect me to pay €55 as both the .nl and .online domain are being auto-renewed.

a) I never picked the option to auto-renew (their T&C article 17.2 says that I am responsible for toggling that option on, not them)
b) I never wanted the .online domain in the first place, Vimexx put that in my cart by themselves and labelled it free.

Off to their support chat, where I was met by Indir, a large contributor to this low star rating.
Indir was quick to copy/paste some links that show that Vimexx moved to a subscription model since the beginning of 2023. When I indicated I never asked for the .online domain, he answered snarkily that I "could've simply removed it from my cart, right"? Or just "simply indicate that I didn't want auto-renewal for that domain, right"? Indirs tone was fit for some edgelord forum, not a servicedesk. He contributed 0 to the problem resolution and just served as a human ticket creation portal.

Hi Ba,

Thank you for your extensive and honest review! We're glad to read our collegue Tim was able to solve this issue for you.

I do understand there has been some misunderstanding around the .ONLINE domain. You can add this domain for free together with a .NL domain. This is a bundle discount. There is always a possibility to delete it. We also show the extend price in the shopping cart.

But if this was all overlooked (which is of course possible! We're all human), it can be very suprising in seeing such a domain being extended. We always want our customers happy, so we always look for a solution if possible.

So I'm very pleased to read our collegue Tim was able to solve this for you! If you have any questions about this system, or how to prevent it, please reach out to us. We're happy to help you prevent such an unpleasent situation.

On behalf of team Vimexx, I want to wish you a very beautiful day!

They definitely don't care about the customer

Vimexx tried to takedown my legimate experience earlier; that tells you everything you need to know about this terrible - insincere & scummy - hosting party that has terrible customer-service and terrible technical services as well.

I caught them lying in suppor-tickets about administrative AND technical issues at least twice; if Vimexx wants to duck responsibility and claim this is not the case; I'll happily publish all the non-reputable evidence in this review so everyone can judge it on their own.

EDIT: Yeah, I'll repeat: scummy, since you guys purposely lie to your customers, I have the mails I can easily publish as evidence. And you indeed won't find me in your system anymore; I left for a better ISP last month.

Tricks to get your domain cancelled

You get an email every few days for 2 months with the same subject and same template to renew your domain. The first few times you check out the email and see it's 2 months too early. Then you'll slowly ignore the email and get used to it, and afterwards your domain is blatantly cancelled without a "LAST WARNING" or something.

Probably some physiological trick to get a profit margin of that €85. Personally really dissatisfied by this greedy move and impersonal service.

Going to transfer all my domains and business to another provider. No more Vimexx for me, and I wouldn't recommend you the same.

Hello Chris,

I'm sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our service. We hope with warning our customers 45 days before a product will reach their end of contract that they will not be surprised. It seems it worked the opposite for you, which we are of course sad to read.

Can you get in touch with us, so we can look for any way to help you out with your situation? Of course any feedback is welcome as well. We are looking forward for your message!
