The company is a complete shambles. On my policy I selected 0 years no claims bonus. The policy was subsequently cancelled as I couldn’t prove a no claims bonus even though 0 had been selected. They then charged me £122 for a cancellation fee because I couldn’t prove something that didn’t exist.

Avoid at all cost. I paid my insurance in full and on the same day they cancelled my policy without a reason, when I called to get my policy up and going again they tried to charge me a extra £220 saying that they couldn’t over my insurance at the same price. Complete joke money scam.

Good insurance policy
All round good package deal for fully comprehensive insurance.
Good customer service on the phone very helpful.

Unfortunately not happy with the service we have received. We had an email saying we needed to call immediately which understandably worried us as it did not provide any details. The email said phone lines were open till 8pm. When we called we were left on hold for ages and then told the department actually closes at 6pm. We called back a few days later and the person put us on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. He also did not tell us he was putting us on hold and the line just went silent. We called back and the next man was helpful but quoted us £360 as an outstanding payment which we had not been made aware of so was a real shock to receive this before Christmas. We then called back today to cancel (as we found cheaper provider elsewhere) and the lady said the outstanding payment was £395! She then put us on hold and once again we were hung up on and nobody tried to call us back. Very misleading, hidden costs and a stressful experience trying to get through to someone without being cut off and hung up on.

I dont understand why I've been asked to send documents on separate days, am I now perhaps hired to keep track of my emails for my claim. Shouldnt I be requested to send everything at one go and relax knowing that budget insurance is handling the matter? Now you are causing me stress on top of stress as I'm already stressing over the car being damaged
