Worst company I have ever dealt with
An absolutely horrendous company to deal with. The 5 star reviews will soon change to a 1 star, when customers need support when their charger stops working.
Their customer support team are always friendly and "seem" helpful. But this doesn't mean your issues are resolved. They have clearly been trained in what to say to customers to reassure them, yet knowing their issues will not be dealt with in a timely manner.
My first charger was defected out the box which I purchased on the 25th July. After weeks of chasing customer support I finally got a new one sent. They say they will get back to you but they never will. You will ALWAYS have to ring them. When you ring back it always starts with an apology.
I have never dealt with a company that lie so much. They said my new one will get sent out next day. It did not arrive. I had to ring again and they apologised, saying it will get sent out the following day. No surprise, it did not arrive. It instead arrived a week later.
The box was damaged and there was a rattle inside the EV charger. When I opened it, I saw two screws from the earth terminals rolling around inside. This was clearly refurbished and not brand new.
I was having to pay at my local EV station so out of desperation I asked my electrician to test it to see if it worked.
It was working fine for just two months. Since October it will not charge passed 3kW and a fault appears in the app. There is no point using it as the charge time is ridiculous. I was dreading getting in contact with their support team, but I thought to myself my experience could not get any worse. How silly of me to think this.
I contacted them on the 21st November and sent all the requested pictures. Nobody got back to me. I contacted them on the 28th November and was told nobody has even looked at my email yet and the pictures! I was then told by Harry that he will get in contact with me by Tuesday (02/12/25). This time I was not naïve enough to think he will actually contact me.
I cannot stress enough to pay that little extra, and get an EV Charger from a more reputable company. When something goes wrong, you will regret giving your hard earned cash to them. Look at the other 1 star reviews too who have had similar experiences.
I am currently out of pocket for £400 with a charger that does not do what it is supposed to do.
Very easy to set up
Very easy to set up and takes only 5 minutes maximum once installed. It is a replacement for an older wall charger from AN Other manufacturer that fell out of legislation and thus they dropped any support like a hot potato. Evec however, make it easy for an installer and for an owner with a clear, concise manual and diagrams.

I paid £800 to have their charger…
I paid £800 to have their charger installed. Only to be told (after delivery) I had to pay a further £180 because they couldn't find a local installer. I declined to pay the extra and asked to return the charger for a full refund.
A date was set to collect the charger however the courier failed to show. I have sent emails since to organise another collection but have so far been ignored.
Avoid this company.

Breaker box is not included in 3 year warranty, to fix is £200 absolutely a joke. Had it installed 18 months, so am extra 200 for every 18 months this is what the breaker box is for to handle the cars electric

I’m an EV installer who recommends EVEC as a solid budget charger. Value for money, ease of use and if in the rare instance there’s problem the tech team are top notch.
All round a good experience and I’ll continue to install as my budget option.

From start to completion the process was easy and did not take too long. The installer was very good too.

Too early to judge it's reliability as was only installed 2 weeks ago. But the guys who installed it were very professional and more importantly didn't leave until Ui was happy and fully versed on how to work it . The EVEC charger was excellent size wise and the tethered cable wrapped around the unit was visually better than some where the cable just hangs off the box

Worst company to use EV chargers. Terrible customer service. Charger works when it feels like it. Reported the issue several times. Took them 3 days to do an online software update that resolve the problem for the next few days and then same problem...charger starts charging and stops 5 min later.
I have asked for refund as it has costed me a fortune in taxi fare as half of the mornings my car isnt charged at all.

I purchased an Evec home charger with the expectation of reliable performance and responsive support. Unfortunately, my experience over the past month has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
1. Charger Reliability
• The charger started consistently to fail, entering charging status before repeatedly pausing and stopping altogether.
• Despite attempted troubleshooting (including app changes and manual resets), the issue persisted.
• Even after an engineer attended and replaced the circuit board, the fault was not resolved.
2. Customer Service Communication
• Initial responses from customer services were polite and apologetic, with Ashley from the team trying to assist.
• However, updates were slow, often requiring me to chase multiple times for information.
• Promises of follow-up emails and updates were frequently missed, leaving me without clarity on next steps.
3. Delays in Resolution
• It took over three weeks from reporting the fault to get an engineer visit arranged.
• Even after the engineer attended, the problem remained unresolved, meaning the product was still unusable.
• In the meantime, I had no working home charger and was forced to rely on public chargers, which has cost me extra time and money.
4. Overall Service
• The service has been slow, uncoordinated, and below the standard I would expect for a high-cost product and warranty.
• Despite the inconvenience and additional expenses I have incurred, no compensation has been offered.
• I have had to escalate the matter repeatedly just to secure basic updates.

Conclusion
My experience with Evec has been poor. While the customer service representatives were courteous, the lack of urgency, slow response times, repeated delays, and ongoing unresolved fault make it very difficult to recommend their products or support.
At this point, I expect a clear resolution plan and meaningful compensation for the time, inconvenience, and costs caused. Without significant improvement, I would strongly advise others to consider alternative EV charger providers.

The fitter was excellent: courteous, on time, and explained everything clearly. He did a great job making the installation look tidy. The charger works brilliantly, feels sturdy, looks good, and operates flawlessly.

Customer service is terrible
Customer service is terrible. Charger is stuck in self test mode and I can't charge and been trying to resolve for nearly a week now with me doing all the emailing and calling as no response. There is no desire to help all I keep being told is will pass to technical managers to have a look but nothing. If I had known this was the kind of aftercare I would have went with a different brand. Please think twice before buying with this company! Update took 3 weeks to eventually get an engineer out to replace the charger. I have incurred additional costs to charge during this 3 weeks period and not getting any response in relation to goodwill payment for slow responses and resolution.

I’ve been experiencing intermittent charging problems ever since the charger was installed. Each time I’ve raised the issue, I’ve been told it’s down to my charging cable, yet that same cable works flawlessly with other chargers. This clearly indicates that the problem lies with the EVEC home charger itself.
The issue has persisted for months without any significant progress. I expected a clear response and a proper resolution, but unfortunately, nothing has been resolved; only intermittent fixes.
On a positive note, I want to highlight the excellent support I initially received from Ashley in customer service. They responded quickly, resolved my scheduled charging issues, replaced the charger twice, and addressed several other problems early on. That effort is why I’m giving three stars instead of two.
However, now that I’ve had the charger for over a year (approaching two), it feels as though I am no longer regarded as a valued customer, or perhaps the company simply no longer cares about fixing the device issues.
***Revised (after troubleshooting with one of the techs or the person that answers the phone, some settings changed and updated, I had had no issues since)

Absolute horrendous experience with…
Absolute horrendous experience with EVEC. The installers they use do not answer after they make first contact, then push everything back to EVEC. Spoke with EVEC customer service the past 2 days, each staff member informed me they will call me back. It’s now 18.30 on the 2nd day and still nothing heard anything, even though I was informed that I will have an install date by the end of the day. You pay up front for everything, charger delivered in 3 days, then the worse customer service from then on. Tomorrow I will be asking for a full refund, for EVEC to collect the charger and go with a more reputable company!
