Power City in Tallaght I went to yesterday with a damaged TV only opened. The guy was very nice Jason I think was his name he’s only new and done his best to help me so this review doesn’t reflect him. However they need to send pictures and information to head office before they can make a decision on repair or refund. Damian from Head Office I was speaking to - absolutely disgusting behaviour! I really hope the calls are recorded. He told me “I’m changing nothing for you”. I really couldn’t believe this! He then proceeded “what did you set up a damaged TV for in the first place” avoid avoid! He is an absaloute disgrace as someone who’s worked in customer service I cannot believe he can speak to people that way! Also if you do buy someone you have to go back to manufacturer to get a repair e.g my TV was TCL and they told me
Contact TCL and not them.

Fella in shop was rude he ended up giving me the wrong product and when i rang to get intouch the girl on the phone was so dull wasnt helpfully at all and not being able to ring the shop and talk to someone is still as awell when i deal with this i wont be shoping there again and it was the only place id go to get my stuff not any more

If I could give less I would. My experience of power city has meant I would never shop again with them . I ordered in shop and agent in shop very pleasant and helpful. It was the agent I spoke with on the phone during the week that changed everything.i have worked customer facing all my life and I was taken aback by how rude this man was and how he just refused to help me in anyway or even sound like he cared. And proceeded to tell me I ‘wasn’t special’ (I didn’t think I was … just a customer) and I was just one of hundreds and if I wanted my delivery I’d have to take time off work as they wouldn’t even try to accommodate the times I would be home (I work shifts so there were options during the week and I’m 10 mins from distribution store) he was the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to. He in the end said … well your options are 1. Take a day off work or 2. I’ll refund you???? I couldn’t deal with powercity another minute because of him so I took refund. Which again I found strange as I paid cash but on this occasion he was able to refund my card number I gave??? I wrote a complaint as I felt very strongly and annoyed that this person is dealing with customers and clearly shouldn’t be. And I have heard nothing!!! Surprise surprise…. Never again will I shop in power city and a lot of people in work etc have said similar. Sad as nice to support but no. Went to DID and had totally different experience, should have gone there first as in the end was 2 weeks without a washing machine!!! But I couldn’t continue with power city. Be warned

Don't go to power city staff not helpful at all and need more people skills .power city and to the girl who told bare face lies work on your customer service skills. I wasn't happy with my last visit to Power City Blanchardstown, as the staff were so rude.
However, after today's experience, I had to write a review.
I asked 1 girl (on the floor) if they sold monitors with inbuilt cameras...she said "I don't work on the floor".
I asked another man (floor staff) the same question and he just replied No and walked off. I followed him and asked if a webcam would be the best solution and he replied "I dunno".
Anyway, I just bought a new monitor and webcam in Currys/PC World :)
Deplorable customer service. Why don't the staff look for other jobs or Management provide some training?

I usually don't leave reviews, but my experience in Powecity today left me speechless. The sales man Darren was beyond rude and unhelpful with the worst attitude I've come across. You can tell he has no interest in helping his customers or making a sale. You have lost business and I will be advising other people to avoid.

Great Service
Couldn't believe the reviews on this after researching when I made the purchase.
Anyhow, ordered a Washing Machine on Sunday night for delivery on Tuesday, we live in a first floor apartment, they came, uninstalled our washing machine and installed the new machine.
Could not recommend them more, shout out to Terry and Bobby who installed, great job.

I bought a new washer dryer in Power City Finglas Village a few days ago .The man in the shop was more than helpful. The night mare came ,when the delivery man called Ken came to my door. He was abnoxious ,arragont and in fowl humour.
He refused to bring the dryer upstairs ,but I eventually perswaded him ,and got someone in the house to help him.
He refused to take the old dryer down the stairs ,and just walked off and left it there..
I spoke with Anthony from customer service ,and explained to him how rude the driver was ,and that he is not fit to be working for the company as a independent driver and treating the customers with such disrespect...just not good enough.
Anthony informed me that he would get someone to take away the old dryer on Monday ,which my friend and I had to bring down the stairs ourselves ,and leave it in the garden over the weekend.
I forgot to mention that I had Ken the delivery man here before ,and he was equally as ignorant then.

Had a lovely experience getting our new TV. Staff were lovely amd very straight forward. But most importantly the product is perfectly we got a new LG tv absolutely stunning and for a very good price also.

Bought a dishwasher and the installation which was arranged by them was unbelievable faulty, resulting with the door eventually falling off in my hand.
After a very difficult and over complicated process of getting an installer to come and rectify, a very very aggressive guy arrived at my house and basically told me that someone else removed some brackets from the back of the door which was complete lies.
He refused to rectify the installation and I asked him to leave my house.
Follow up from the customer care guy on the phone was certainly not to my satisfaction and he repeated the guy’s accusation, ending eventually with me just confirming that I will never never never buy anything from the shops again.
Stay away and go somewhere whom have a good customer service…..

No refund for faulty washing Machine
Faulty washing machine under 12 months old. I had no luck with the manufacturer fixing it so went into Powercity to get a refund. I had planned to get a new washing machine with the refund. Anthony the customer care manager was contacted by phone as there's no managers in the shops any more. He refused to give me a refund and was incredibly rude. He said he didn't have a manager I could escalate the issue to. But looking at the score here on trustpilot it's no surprise. The only edge Powercity had was customer service. My family and extended family have always shopped here but that's done with. Now we'll go to Amazon, at least they refund you and put the customer first. Well done Anthony you just lost more customers forever.
Bought two fans
Bought two fans! FAULTY ONES. Tried ringing them and you the only way to contact them is online. There is a phone number however it automatically hangs up on you. 1 hour drive away! I will want a full refund and also because they are faulty I will want someone to drive down the hour to pick them up! Absolutely so disappointed. Also ive never seen such cheap quality for such a high price
Worst Delivery Experience Ever
We bought a new fridge from Powercity. They were meant to install it and take away the old fridge.
the delivery guy arrived with the new fridge in it's packaging and left it sitting int he middle of our kitchen in its box.
He would not plug the new fridge in or take the old fridge away because the old fridge had not been fully defrosted (it had been emptied). He just walked and told us he would come back when we had defrosted the old fridge.
When I emailed Powercity to request someone to call our and collected the newly cleaned and defrosted old fridge they wanted to charge me €25 and would not waive the fee.
