Never open a postale bank account
I asked for bank mobility and the closing of my account on March 29th. May, my account was supposed to be closed. It's July and my account is open and I continue to pay their fees!! I did everything they asked me to, paid what I had to pay, paid the closer fee, sent a resiliency letter along with my card and they don't close my account!
An immeasurable lack of respect. I have no money and they are harming me A LOT and I am being forced to go to court to get them to do their job!

NEVER open an account with LA BANQUE POSTALE
After having a joint account with la banque postage for 13 years we asked for it be closed as we no longer required it. We asked for our final statement to be sent to us and the balance to be sent to our other bank. It is almost three years and we are still waiting for our money and final statement. We have sent several letters by recorded delivery.sent emails and made numerous phone calls but no response. We need our money and it is absolutely shocking that they are allowed to treat people like this.
Expensive and not worth it.
Expensive and does not provide any real services besides basic account and email/telephone contact.
What is more, I submitted the letter to close my account in January but my account was closed in March, after they continued to charge bank fees. No response from them since contacting La Banque Postale about this situation. Bad customer service.
Totally inefficient bank.
I am thinking of sending all these Trust Pilot reviews to La Banque Postale. They are totally inefficient - even if you speak fluent French. I am trying to repatriate some money to the UK but they do not answer letters. Quite happy though to deduct bank charges of Euros. 19 every three months for doing nothing!!

Pretty much in line with most other comments posted here, do stay away from their site as their online banking experience is possibly, the worst I have ever seen. The worst. Granted, I live overseas now, and it doesn't help, nevertheless even when scrupulously following security procedures as instructed, I still cannot withdraw any money. I'll stay polite so firm recommendations will do: stay the hell away from la poste! (Have been a customer for almost 40 years - and can't wait to have my accounts closed - asaFp)

I have no access to my savings. Their online banking is AWFUL. Customer service NON EXISTENT. I am simply trying to withdraw my money but unable to do any sort of transfer online. I am based in the UK and with the pandemic it isn't as simple as catching a flight to France to sort this out. Their answer to ALL of my queries is... Please visit one of our branches. So unhelpful.
Awful
Honestly terrible, especially if you're an expat- but according to my french friends they're just awful in general. If you call them not speaking French they hang up or are very rude and unhelpful. I've not managed to get a single piece of information from them in 5 years. And they will not let me open an online account. I will be closing my account with them.
The worst bank ever
The worst bank ever. Now they are forcing you to have une identité numérique in order to access your account on line. This is only granted if you have une carte d'identité française, or a passeport français or a carte de séjour français (almost impossible to get and can take months and months). Also a smart phone android or iphone. I have an Irish passport and therefore the right to reside in France but that's not good enough for La Banque Postale; I would say that their policy is discriminating and from the 29th December you will no longer be able access your bank account on line.

-10000 stars! Worst bank and customer service ever. If you have an issue and call them, they'll be super unfriendly or just end the call, and in the filiales, they are not helping at all, unfriendly and don't let you finish the sentence. I moved back to Germany and needed my money to get transferred to my German bank account. It took 4 years. yes, 4 YEARS.

I have a bank account in this bank for more than 37 years. I recently moved in another country and when I needed my money I could not access it. I called the office and they gave me some information I went back to France to sort things out and they gave me completely different information. At the end I had to withdraw all my money at a least interesting moment for me and it cost me a lot of money to do that. The only good point with this bank is that if you cannot access your own money nobody can do either. So if you want to open a bank account in France, avoid this one at all costs. It is expensive for low level of client services, people are rude and have no knowledge of bank products, they are just trying to sell without any background in banking and when you need them they are not there for you even if you were a client for very long time. Shame I have to give one star because 0 is not possible.

I am trying to registar my Dads account online , he has been with this bank for years but no longer spends as much time in his home in France as he used to, I have messaged them but have received nothing back , I am sorry to say that my french is just not good enough for a phone call, All I want to know is how do I get my dads account online so we can manage it from the UK?

Without doubt the worst bank I've had. If you can't physically get to the local office all year around to sort out the multitude of issues you'll have, DON'T OPEN AN ACCOUNT. My account has just been closed and over €20,000 is missing. I didn't close it. It looks like they did but i don't know why as they didn't inform me or respond to six urgent messages i sent. If they didn't close it then it's been stolen. How can anyone close and withdraw that much money without alerting the bank's security in 2020. Such terrible service and now even your money is not safe with them either.
UPDATE: They did close the account but gave no warning or reason, in fact no conversation. They didn't reply to a single urgent message, except to say they sent a cheque to my house. My direct debits are all messed up, electricity will be cut off, and as I'm abroad I cannot access my money nor have it sent to me. It's a nightmare. Never again.

This is the worst bank in France. Don’t waste your energy to deal with them. I called them and i asked politely if there is someone who speak english so i can explain clearly my concerns but the man who answered me was hanged up the phone immediately without offering alternatives or even trying. Bad customer service. I will withdraw now my money to them.

the worst bank i've ever had to deal with in the world. Impossible to reach the staff, extremely difficult and slow to manage your own accounts, international transfers are the worst. It's almost like you don't even own your own money. None of the emails that i have ever written to my counselor received a response. None of my calls have been returned. This bank is a nightmare and a crime. You will almost feel as if you dont have access or the right to your own money. Close this bank and sue it.
This bank is truly woeful
This bank is truly woeful. I do not speak French, which I acknowledge is my problem and added to the difficulties. There are plenty of native French speakers here who have also had awful experiences with them. Nonetheless, I have had a number of issues completely unrelated to difficulties in understanding one another. It took forever to get a debit card and when I finally got a debit card it didn't work. It then took forever to get a replacement debit card that fortunately did work. After my wife arrived in France, I tried to make the account a joint account so that she could use it too. Instead they created a new account for my wife. Fine, what we wanted was probably just lost in translation, and I was OK with separate accounts. However, they never provided her with a debit card after months of asking. They rarely reply to emails, rarely answer phone calls and are often not in the office. Eventually I gave up and asked them to just close the account. Now I have to withdraw cash from my account and give it to my wife. I feel like I am controlling her finances. I don't like having to do this. The bank is now hounding me for the fees from her account that we were never able to use.

This banque has a problem, i put in 235€ the next day I found 15€ after that I put another 35€ and they removed everything and I wasn't hooing them any money but they debited my money for no reason, before that they blocked my visa card I couldn't use my card even if there is money inside, I hate la banque postal, they are tifs
