Our workshops are highly participatory and interactive. Most workshops include small group and large group conversations, as well as videos and content review. 

Please note: The topics we discuss may be activating and/or triggering in ways that are expected, or unexpected. We encourage you, our learners, to care for yourselves in the ways you best know how, while challenging yourself to grow.

ECHO (Equity Certificate Hosted Online) is a program of courses that learners can take individually or as a series. There are currently 12 courses available in ECHO, and learners who complete 10 courses earn a certificate and digital badge. Each ECHO course includes required pre-work and participation in a dialogue. ECHO is available to community-based learners and University of Minnesota affiliated staff, faculty, students, and alumni. 

Education Program workshops are available for University of Minnesota departments and units to engage in building awareness and skills as a team. The ‘core four’ workshops count towards the ECHO certification. There is typically no required pre-work for workshops unless required by the requesting department/unit. U of M departments can request a workshop by completing the Education Program Request Form. 

Participants must register for and attend the skill-based “Core Four” ECHO sessions prior to enrolling in any ECHO electives. Electives can be taken in any order, after the "Core Four"

No. You may take the ECHO dialogues at your own pace, whether that is attending all 10 in one semester, or spread out over time in a way that works best with your schedule. It's up to you.

We encourage learners to arrive 10 minutes before the session starts, and if you are 15 minutes late or have to leave 15 minutes before the end of the workshop, we encourage you to attend an alternate date.

If you are no longer able to attend or will be more than 15 minutes late, submit a 'drop request' or 'transfer request' in the Destiny One Registration System (DORS) to allow learners from the waitlist an opportunity to participate in the Zoom dialogue section or workshop.
