USC Gould's Master of Studies in Law (MSL) degree has been instrumental in strengthening my skills and expertise particularly in the area of employment law. In a management and supervision role, it is essential to be well-informed in the legal aspects of your profession so that you can best serve the needs of your stakeholders. In addition to legal training, my negotiation, analytical, problem solving, strategic thinking, diplomacy and persuasion skillsets were enhanced.

I was surprised at how personable the online learning environment was. Prior to the program, I was worried that I would not be able to make important relationships with my peers or professors. However, I feel as though I made life-long relationships ... One of my peers even recommended me for my current teaching position.

USC and the GIST program at the Spatial Sciences Institute have changed my life. The coursework was intellectually stimulating and challenging, and gave me the flexibility and skill set required to pursue a real-world thesis project.

DEN@Viterbi gave me the opportunity to continue my education with the highest quality while working full-time in the industry. I was challenged and cared for by my professors as any other on-campus student. I had a great experience utilizing DEN@Viterbi with the professional quality of lecture videos and sound.

I found my experiences as a DEN@Viterbi graduate student pleasant and enriching. Although I was an online student, I had access to every resource my resident peers did. The live streaming of classes were of great quality, email/phone access to my professors and teaching assistants was always available and the ease at which I could rent books from the library was/is commendable. I was initially skeptical about the process and unsure of what to expect as an online student at USC. However, having experienced it from a front row seat I must say at no time did I feel disconnected from USC’s campus and all the opportunities available to graduate students. I highly recommend the program to anyone considering furthering his or her education remotely.
