CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
15th Privacy Enhancing Techniques Convention: PET-CON 2026.1
April 16-17, 2026, Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT/KASTEL)
We invite you to attend PET-CON 2026.1 – the 15th convention on Privacy-Enhancing Technologies, in Karlsruhe. PET-CON brings together students (B.Sc., M.Sc., PhD), junior researchers, privacy activists, and other interested people to discuss work in progress. PET-CON is organized by the PET special interest group of the German Informatics Society (GI). Previous PET-CONs took place at University of Salzburg, University of Hamburg, University of Regensburg, TU Darmstadt, RWTH Aachen, Goethe University Frankfurt, University of Göttingen, TU Berlin, and TU Dresden.
PET-CON is an explicitly informal gathering with the prime focus on fostering networking within the community, and it welcomes various forms of contributions. The main workshop features short contributed talks (10-15 minutes) followed by extensive feedback and discussions (up to 45 minutes). For instance, students can present planned, ongoing, and recently finished theses and paper projects to receive feedback. We also accept presentations of papers that have already been published elsewhere. Alternatively, you can also attend the convention without giving a talk at all and simply participate in the discussions. We will organize a poster session upon request, feel free to let us know if you'd like to present one.
