Structured Liberal Education
Since 1974, Stanford's Structured Liberal Education program—more commonly called SLE—has been a place for frosh to create lifelong memories through a uniquely close-knit residential liberal arts college experience. Enjoy engaging sessions three times a week with dedicated faculty, diving into humanities, classics, and writing instruction while living in East Florence Moore Hall with 90 new friends, sharing deep discussions over meals.

In Education as Self-Fashioning, we consider writings about education by intellectuals working in various fields, with the aim of articulating different ways that education can be used to structure one’s thinking, one’s self, and ultimately one’s life as a whole.
