I have had a top censored because…

I have had a items automatically withdrawn by Vinted because Vinted decided that the item and photos had already been listed. These are absolutely my items, my photos it’s just rather frustrating.

Also the seller cannot choose the shipping company, which is rather annoying when I don’t live near a DPD drop off.

All in all the platform is fairly easy to use

Total SCAM Inside Out

Total SCAM which starts from right from inside this platform and spreads out to fake users they created with help of their so called support team spread across the world just to boost up their company profile. Although there are some honest transaction between few legitimate users however the rest is nothing but scam and doing over 2000 transaction legitimately through this platform figured this out the hard way. Also rest assure that sooner or later one way or other you will get scammed if not through the user Vinted itself will definitely find away to facilitate this somehow. They blocked my account after 2000 transaction all 5 star feedback did not give me access to my balance not an opportunity to claim for items I purchased and did not receive or the ones I received were fake just because when they did not respond to claim of receiving item that is not as advertised I had to go to PayPal to ask for their help. So if you have to use it make sure to use PayPal to protect yourself for purchases because if something goes wrong which most likely will if you keep using them they are not there to help you and they will not and your best bet will be paypal to help you. All the documents and screenshots are available to prove this and if necessary will disclose and share with legal authorities.

Käuferschutz / Zahlungsabwicklung bei Vinted

Ich habe bei Vinted eine Uhr gekauft, die im Paketshop ankam – allerdings war das Paket bereits geöffnet und komplett leer. Ich habe den Vorfall sofort gemeldet, Käuferschutz bezahlt und sogar eine schriftlich bestätigte Fristverlängerung für Beweisfotos erhalten. Als ich die Fotos eingereicht habe, wurde mein Fall trotzdem einfach geschlossen. Ergebnis: Ware weg, Geld weg, kein Käuferschutz.

Vinted wirbt mit Sicherheit und Käuferschutz, aber im Ernstfall bleibt man allein und ohne Unterstützung zurück. Sehr enttäuschend und absolut unfair gegenüber ehrlichen Käufern.

I bought a watch on Vinted that was delivered to a parcel shop. When I picked it up, the package had already been opened and was completely empty. I immediately reported the issue, paid for Buyer Protection, and even received a written confirmation from Vinted that my deadline to submit photo evidence was extended.

Once I submitted the photos, my case was simply closed without any refund. The item is gone, my money is gone, and the Buyer Protection I paid for turned out to be completely useless.

Vinted advertises safety and Buyer Protection, but when something actually goes wrong, they leave customers without help. Very disappointing and unfair towards honest buyers.

Vinted has poor ethics

Vinted has shown shockingly poor business ethics and complete disregard for consumer protection laws. My 13-year-old son - a minor, legally unable to enter binding contracts in Sweden without parental consent - was allowed to make a purchase on their platform without proper age verification (just a checkbox). This is not only irresponsible, it is against Swedish consumer law.

The package was supposedly “delivered” at 3AM, but was never received. Despite immediately reporting this, Vinted refused to help and simply pointed us to the courier, even though Swedish law clearly states it is the seller’s responsibility to ensure the buyer actually receives the goods. Lost or stolen packages in transit are not the buyer’s loss - yet Vinted washed their hands of any responsibility.

To make matters worse, the courier (Earlybird) confirmed that Vinted must be the one to initiate a claim, but Vinted still refuses to act. Instead, they closed the case, released the payment to the seller, and left us with nothing.

This company fails at two fundamental duties:

Verifying the age of users before allowing purchases.

Taking responsibility for undelivered goods, as required by law.

Parents should be extremely cautious letting their children near this platform. And consumers in general should know: if something goes wrong, Vinted will not protect you.

I would strongly advise avoiding this company until they fix their broken systems, respect consumer laws, and start treating customers fairly.

Shameful! For the first time I was using their insurance as they have this new insurance policy so I thought, great! Let’s try this out.
DPD said they delivered the package even though I was at home the whole day and the package never arrived. Customer service was horrible and diminishing my case, saying they can’t do anything as DPD said they delivered, even though I asked them to show me the proof and my signature. They wanted to get rid of me so they can pay to the sender. I mean, I am extremely disappointed with the whole case.

I sold an item in perfect condition on Vinted, with clear photos showing the exact state before shipping. The buyer first complained only about the size. Hours later, they suddenly reported “damage” that was definitely not present before shipping. Despite my evidence (photos and chat history), Vinted decided in favor of the buyer and refunded them, leaving me with a damaged item and no compensation.

This means buyers can simply damage items after receiving them and still get their money back – while sellers are left unprotected. I even asked Vinted to escalate the case to a higher level, but my request was ignored.

Vinted shows zero seller protection and no fair balance between buyers and sellers. I cannot recommend this platform and will be closing my account.
