Aftersales are non existent

It’s a shame that the aftersales ‘team’ are completely useless. On the day I bought my car, I was happy with the salesman, Dylan. He was not pushy at all and patient when I had issues with my payment card not working.
Got the car home, then came the first wash a few days later. I noticed the cloth lining to the boot was horribly sticky. When cleaning the wheels, flakes of silver paint and lacquer were coming off. This was the major issue as they are supposed to be diamond cut not painted (yes I am aware that I missed this on the initial viewing of the car).
I messaged the aftersales team who replied quickly to ask for pictures. Once I sent these, they said they would have them re-done.
The catch…this work would only be carried out if I brought the car back to them. 2 1/2 hours each way, plus 5 hours for them to do the wheels and let them dry. I ask for the car to be collected, or for them to use a mobile wheel technician…this is when they go radio silent. No replies to messages for weeks. Finally a reply to say they will only repair if I bring it back to them, because they are doing me a ‘favour’.

🚨 AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

🚨 AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! 🚨

We leased a car from them and it’s been a nightmare since day one. The vehicle was delivered with:
• ❌ NO charging cable (for a fully electric car!)
• ❌ A snapped rear wheel
• ❌ A missing wheel nut
• ❌ A ripped rear seat belt
• ❌ Worn-out rear brake pads that screech every time you brake
• ❌ Old wipers so loud you can hear them from a distance

When we reported all this, they simply didn’t care. They were friendly and helpful right up until the deal was signed — then completely vanished when it came to fixing the problems.

This is unacceptable and dangerous. If you’re thinking of buying or leasing from them — DON’T. Save yourself the stress.

Definitely DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

Definitely DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. You deposit a car that most likely does not exist and will lose your time, actually missing out on other opportunities. No need to fall for their essexish scam

Would put -0 stars if that was a choice…

Would put -0 stars if that was a choice the customer service is very unprofessional and it’s says all calls are recorded when you are waiting to be put through to someone but when you ask if the phone call being recorded they say no they drove a car we paid for up to Manchester with a nail in one tyre and a bulge in another tyre and trying to speak to a registered manager is very frustrating and was laughed at when tried to explain the situation and they even spoke to the tyre specialist rudely and have changed the story of how the car was transported down every time we speak to someone and can never speak to the same person has sent emails that are being ignored

I had a great experience with Essex…

I had a great experience with Essex Prestige. I saw the car on Car Gurus and emailed to arrange a test drive. Car was clean as a whistle on arrival… I had enough time with the car on my own to review and check over… no problems. When I then went to settle up Nas who I dealt with was very professional pointed out the minor imperfections with the car which was a shock to deal with a sales man who was honest and transparent. The work was done and I arranged for home delivery a week later.
The car was delivered on the day that is was said. My only gripe would be that I personally would have like a little more communication from the dealer or the company picking up the car to inform me of the timings throughout the day and an ETA of the delivery. As I did have to call and see if the car was on its way up to me.
The car has been a dream since it has arrived.
I may have been one of the lucky ones and the car chosen was IMHO sold as a honest and fair deal.
I’m really happy with the car and the service provided.

AVOID AT ALL COST PRESTIGE CARS ESSEX

My experience with PRESTIGE CARS ESSEX ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING, guy called Charlie from sales department in particular. I seen a car on auto trader from prestige cars, got in touch said I wanted to buy the car and he said he doesn’t make much money from cash buyers and finance is within his favour but yes not a problem. I paid him £250 deposit to secure the car and he said he would be in touch next week and also said that he would imagine the car to be ready around the 22nd of this month . Heard nothing all week from week starting 14/7/2025, so I sent him a message on Friday 18/7/2025 at 2:00pm saying are we still ok for the following week. Then for him to reply “saying he’s had a nightmare and the car just went way over budget” little did he know, I had sold my car and was in two minds with the vehicle he was advertising and another but by him messing around saying he no longer has the vehicle the other one had been sold, he couldn’t understand why I was so frustrated because he said he would just give me MY OWN MONEY BACK and said that he explained all this to me (which he never) when you put a deposit down on a car and you agree to a deal the last people on earth you would think that would go back on it would be a car dealership but was I very wrong. Please don’t waste your time with this unprofessional company and please read other reviews from different people too. I’ve also just received an email saying the deposit will be paid back into my account WITHIN 10 DAYS, just wow. If it happened when buying an average Ford focus etc it wouldn’t of been an issue but it was a Mercedes with an agreed price of £45,500.O

recently purchased a Mercedes X-Class…

I recently purchased a Mercedes X-Class from this dealership and had a genuinely pleasant experience from start to finish. The team were professional, helpful, and made the entire process straightforward. The vehicle was exactly as described, well-presented, and ready on time. Communication was clear throughout, and I felt well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again — highly recommended.

Speechless

This dealer is worth nothing,i'm bought E63S at beginningof the march,at viewing we noticed boot handle doesn't work, passenger window hasn't opened, but i was told probable because car was park up for long time and flat battery give this issue what have a sense,so I'm bought car for screen price £39K,same day when I back home im noticed passenger seat belt is black instead of white like all others ones fitted in the car,so by standard i drop car to my garage for checks and find out if car has any accident, so inspection clearly says was no damage but window required new module and tailgate required new handel what's cost me another £300,but that was nothing compared to what happened after 4 weeks and roughly 500miles in total happiness driving, rear diff brake down, then I been told we sorting this for you,and since then I have my car in local garage for over 2 months, Essex Prestige do not replaying my emails, letters etc,so my opinion is you guys should selling potato's instead of cars, acting like muppets, hope so karma I'll sort you all well same as you treat me,I do not want say for future customers buy your next car of this traders or not, just get conclusion yourselves, Victor I see you in court soon,I hope my solicitor ask court to pay me back not only for issue what I've got but also for whole stress I had of you!!!

Ps. Don't trust Autotrader.co.uk reviews, cuz you allowed to leave comments there only 24 to 72h after purchase, ridiculous!!!

I brought my dream car

I brought my dream car, a V10 Audi R8 from Essex Prestige and I’d like to say what a pleasure it was dealing with them. I had a few questions regarding my purchase that the sales team couldn’t answer so the owner, Victor, invited me into his office and explained everything clearly and put my mind at rest. Also, I had a slight issue with the car after I got it home and it needed a small amount of work to be done which Victor authorised and arranged, outside of the warranty agreement. Victor is a top bloke and if you are looking to purchase your dream car look no further than Essex Prestige. I can’t recommend Victor highly enough!

Awful company that you should avoid at…

Awful company that you should avoid at all costs. Vehicles are shot to shit. Zero customer service or aftersales. In my case they have stolen money from me. They make promises they don't follow up on in the slightest. Don't be fooled by the shiny pictures of expensive cars, it's all a con. Nikesh is the main man who will fleece you. I will be reporting them to trading standards. Hope to hear from you soon Nilesh.

AVOID at all costs!

This garage sells questionable cars that may look appealing with flashy body kits and black spray-painted wheels, but underneath, they’re riddled with mechanical problems. They're skilled at talking a good game when selling, but as soon as something goes wrong—just a few miles down the road—they’re nowhere to be found. Instead, the owner, Victor, will call and shout abuse at you over the phone. This place is run by a bunch of cowboys, all taking cues from the owner himself. If you value your time, money, and dignity, stay far away from this place! They've even removed their Google reviews page due to the flood of negative feedback. Consider yourself warned!

I am inclined to agree with the Tesla…

I am inclined to agree with the Tesla purchaser. I purchased a BMW 840i. I have had numerous faults with it. The RH door speakers did not work, continually got a battery warning, the drivers window did not operate correctly, one of the door trim pieces was damaged and, recently, one of the expensive cameras failed. I returned the vehicle once after I purchased it. Prestige promised to deal with the issues. However, they did a quick job, but the faults were not properly rectified.

I live too far away to keep going back and it is clear the staff have no interest after they have sold the car.

In the end, I gave up and have since had the car repaired by a BMW specialist (not a main dealer). They did a great job, but it has all cost me £1,500. I would never trust prestige again.

AVOID ESSEX PRESTIGE AUTOS

To summarise my experience of Essex Prestige Autos - honestly go elsewhere! Zero professionalism. Zero customer service skills. Faulty vehicles.

Just to paint a picture, I have purchased numerous cars over the years from dealerships and would consider myself having a reasonable amount of experience with it. Sometimes issues arise with these vehicles but the way the dealership handles these issues is what separates good dealerships from bad dealerships. Unfortunately Essex Prestige Autos falls under the bad dealership section.

I purchased a Tesla from the dealership, the reason I chose this dealership was mainly due to the body kit that they install in house on the Tesla’s! (Don’t be fooled like me, it fell off)

So the initial contact / payments etc were fine - then came the collection day.
I travelled to collect the vehicle and upon arrival I inspected the vehicle and noticed that one of the door speakers was cracked. I highlighted this to the salesman (Nick) and I was informed that they have some spares in stock and will swap it over! I then noticed they didn’t have spares in stock and instead were swapping my broken door card with one of the other Teslas they we’re selling - meaning the person who bought the other Tesla inherited the cracked speaker. (This should have been a red flag that stopped the purchase)

I then began my drive home and immediately noticed an error on the dash regarding the 12v battery requiring replacement.
I pulled over and rang Nick (10 minutes into my drive) who stated that it should clear as I drive due to the car being sat for a while.
However, this was not the case and after 24hrs I had to contact the garage again to report that the fault was still present, I also now had squeaking from the brakes, the car pulled to one side and I noticed some bolts missing from the body kit the garage had installed.

THREE DAYS later they replied to my email. They asked me to get a quote for the work from a local garage and said they would send me a replacement battery to install.

TWO DAYS later they eventually replied to the quote, and told me without even checking that the brakes are fine (even though they were squeaking and a garage inspected them and identified the issue) hence the quote!
They also said the quote was too expensive and they would fix the issues themselves.
However, they refused to collect the vehicle and insisted I made the 150 mile commute again to have the faults repaired.

After THREE WEEKS of waiting the replacement battery arrived but not at my home address as you would expect, oh no, instead it arrived at the garage I had the quote from. This was without any prior warning, luckily the garage had put it to one side when I went in to ask (they were also confused as to why it was sent to them and who it was even for)

ANOTHER WEEK passed without any communication from the garage and more faults developed. The body kit (the reason I purchased the vehicle from this specific dealership) - fell off the front.
I sent another email to report this and also chased a date I could drop the car off for the initial repairs.

After sending another email asking to just return the vehicle I finally received a response, they offered a date of repair 2 MONTHS after I purchased and reported the issues!! At this the time the car also developed a seat belt tensioner issue, where the belt wouldn’t retract essentially causing a major safety defect!

Finally the day of inspection - I arrived on the day they provided, at the time they stated and would you believe it? No one knew I was coming… Nick was on site again and asked to see the email thread but from this he couldn’t determine who scheduled it in as no one at the company signs emails - so you have no idea who you are talking to via email! (this is probably so their name cannot be attached to the negativity surrounding this dealership)
Finally, the repairs began and I left site for a couple of hours. Upon my return the repairs were completed with the exception of;
The brakes - I was told these were just dirty and have been cleaned now.
The tracking - as no one knew I was coming, they didn’t have anyone trained on site.
On my drive home I now noticed;
A clicking noise during acceleration.
The battery still showed the low voltage error.
The brakes still squeaked.

I reported these issues via email and I was told to go to my local Tesla for a quote / repair of the battery issue and to send the invoice over after I had made payment.

FIVE DAYS after the invoice was sent, they finally replied and refunded me.
Tesla informed me that the mechanic who installed the battery did not know what he was doing.

The vehicle developed another few issues and I now in the process of returning the vehicle. Appalling service of vehicles that haven’t been checked before being sold on!
If you’re into draining experiences then this is the place for you!
