I've had my new Indesit oven for six…

I've had my new Indesit oven for six weeks. It's developed a ticking noise when the oven is switched off and cold. Didn't receive notification the three hours slot so had to phone various numbers to speak to someone. Technician arrived said all new electric ovens make a constant ticking noise and therefore in his opinion there wasn't a problem. I find that very strange. I havent been given a reference number to enter in the relevant box below.

I took out a repair plan for my tumble…

I took out a repair plan for my tumble dryer which intermittently cuts out during the drying cycle.
The first repair was easy to book, and the engineer attended and identified a loose fan. Unfortunately, the repair was unsuccessful and the machine is still cutting out.
The problems began with the second repair attempt. I booked a follow-up appointment for this Thursday, only to receive an email this morning stating the appointment had been CANCELLED with absolutely no explanation given, and incorrectly implying I had requested it.
Since the cancellation, I have wasted hours attempting to contact Whirlpool/Indesit for an explanation:
Telephone: Stuck in a queue and then told "sorry we can't take your call right now."
Online Chat/Bot: The bot failed to connect me to a human agent.
WhatsApp: Unhelpful bot that did not resolve the issue.
I am a customer paying for a repair plan and I am finding it impossible to speak to a human to find out why my essential repair was cancelled. The customer service channels are completely dysfunctional, causing immense frustration and wasted time.
Whirlpool/Indesit needs to urgently contact me to:
Provide a full explanation for the unilateral cancellation.
Book a guaranteed, priority appointment to fix the fault.
Acknowledge and compensate me for the extreme difficulty in attempting to contact you.
This experience has been completely unacceptable.

Worst customer service / service repair ever

Worst customer service / service repair ever. Indesit washing machine 6 months old not washing correctly plus random wash cycles start ie delicate wash but then starts draining and spinning randomly. After very long (45 mins) telephone conversation plus what I later felt was like a hard sell for D&G insurance even though it was under warranty and a 10 year parts and labour I signed up for insurance. Service booked for today. 15 mins before end of 3 hour slot text to say 15 mins away. About 45 mins later still no show. I logged onto website only to find that the call had been aborted. I then spent an hour being passed to different departments within indesit with nobody seeming to know what was going on. One young man said he didn’t know but would put me straight through to service I asked how long I’d be waiting for them and he said no I’m putting you through directly after about 20 minute wait, I ended up speaking to the switchboard operator nothing has been resolved and nobody has called me back even though I did have a callback request as I was number 83 in the queue I have since cancelled my insurance policy with D&G I will never again buy an appliance that is under the Indesit umbrella. Service is appalling and I would advise others to look at alternative companies.

Horrendous repair booking experience

Horrendous experience trying to book a warrantee repair. They try so hard to make you sign up for an extended warrantee, the operative was patronising and made me listen to what felt like hours of terms and conditions, and the quality of the call was dreadful, with hundreds of calls going on in the background. This would put me off buying anything from this group in the future.

IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT

I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR THE LAST 3 HOURS TO RE BOOK AN ENGINEER FOR MY INDERSIT DISHWASHER WHICH HE CLAIMED WAS OVER 12 MONTHS OLD. IT IS NOT.
I HAVE TRIED RINGING INDESIT SERVICE 16. YES 16 TIMES EVERY TIME THE PHONE CALL HAS BEEN TERMINATED BY INDERSIT WITHOUT SPEAKING TO ANYBODY OR THING. I HAVE TRIED THE LINK THAT WAS SENT. IT TELLS ME TO RING. ABSOULTLEY USLESS. I HAVE TRIED BOOKING ON LINE. ONE WAY IT TELL ME TO PHONE!!!!! THE ALTERNATIVE WAY FREEZES !!!! I WILL HAVE TO KEEP TRYING AND RUNNING UP MY PHONE BILL. IN THE MEANTIME I HAVE A BROKEN DISHWASHER WHICH IS UNDER 12 MONTHS OLD.

Absolutely disgraceful I brought a…

Absolutely disgraceful I brought a washing machine from curry’s on 9-9-2025 and from day one it’s had a error fault not working I rang curry’s they came out looked at it twice still not working they said I have to ring the manufacturer Indisit and get a uplift code to get it replaced . We’ll what a nightmare Carnt get through having to talk to a robot then I contacted on WhatsApp another robot I’m still not got through from start to finish it’s been a nightmare DO NOT buy a washing machine from curry’s if it’s a Indisit or hot point I’ve never experienced customer service like this in my lifetime if I don’t get any response by Tuesday next week I’m taking it further

Contact you ? I’ve been trying since 2pm and now after 6pm and gotton Absolutaly no where
Waste of time
Eventually got thru to be told will get no reply to complaint as wil be internal and lots of stinking attitude

Policy now being cancelled and payments reclaimed via bank
DISGUSTING COMPANY
===========================Finished with Indesit Domestic and general

Now second appliance broken within 8 months!! An expensive replacement for previous machine that lasted less than 12 months

Engineer came last week and even admitted he didn’t know what he was doing and had to call a collegue
Machine still doin same and not usable due to excessive noise

Tried to call and use live chat Saturday and was passed around like a joint at a party and cut off seven times after mentioning I wanted to register a complaint

No idea if complaint registered as no ackowledgemwnt or reference given and now been waiting an hour for chat to check

They have fallen so far and are now so poor and unreliable

Won’t be using or buying again

I would like to give a 'no star' review…

I would like to give a 'no star' review - I am sitting on hold for the THIRD time in the last 25 mins - initially had to wait ages for the phone to get answered by a real person and then was answered by somebody who, having taken my address details, then put me on hold with no reason given. When this was eventually answered, the woman said 'Oh, I'll connect you back to customer service', while I wait another 10 mins for answer, gave them name and address again and he has put me on hold AGAIN for no reason - I have no idea what is going on but I am beyond frustrated. Eventually call was taken by another lady who said ' Oh I dunno why youre through to me, I'm the gas department, i don't deal with tumble driers' - I said ' PLEASE can you help me, I am about to leave for an appointment and all I want to do is arrange an engineer visit (for brand new TD that doesn't work properly) she said ' I shouldn't really do this but I will' and proceeded to book me in for a repair.
I am completely baffled how they are even still in business if this is how they treat their customers. I will certainly not be buying an indesit appliance again.

Worst imaginable customer service

Quick to take money to book a repair.
Failing is giving a repair (washing machine still doesn't work).
Literally disgusting customer service. 1h on the phone, passing from one person to another without being able to book a second visit.
The worst service you can possibly imagine.

Awful service

Awful service. After 8 years I called regarding a repair on my 10 year warranty, to be rudely told, that because I moved house I’m no longer covered. Warranties are tied to the property and not the individual. What difference does moving house make to a warranty of a product unless it was something like windows that actually belong and stay. Awful attitude of the customer service agent. For this reason I’ll never by hotpoint again as what a pointless warranty.

Appalling service

Appalling service. Paid for an engineer to fix our washing machine, advised us everything was all sorted and he had put the washing machine back in place. Turned the washing machine on and it flooded the whole kitchen! Turns out the washing machine hadn’t even been plumbed back in. Not been able to speak to anyone about the experience, only via WhatsApp message!

Engineers are useless!

If i could give 0 i would. The engineers of this company are what fails indesit. My appliance was brought at currys firstly, trying to book a repair is a pain, have to go in to currys store. Finally when they get through to the team (40mins in que,as theres about 5 different numbers to try) i get booked in. On repair day, the engineer aborted the call due to the lack of the 7 car parking spaces there was! Back to currys to rebook, another week to wait. I get a text the following day from the first visit to suddenly say they can come that day. Great, wont have to wait the week for 2nd repair attempt. "Jason" arrives (after me standing in the car parking spaces to make sure they dont run off again), confirms the problem and orders the part for repair today (which happened to be the date the 2nd appointment was made). Jason adds extra time to make sure they can park lol! Along comes today and guess what....... cancelled due to the extra time "needed" to park. Off back to currys i go and after 2 hours they successfully got the up lift number to process me a voucher for the worth of the appliance to rebuy a new one (NOT INDESIT) and its coming in 2 days. My appliance was insured the whole time. Its not the brand thats pants, its the useless engineers!

Incompetence

So far I am completely disgusted by the level of professionalism of the warranty service. First I was wrongly informed about the first repair date, then I had to wait a week to find out that the incompetent service did not have parts for my washing machine, and they forgot to inform me about it. I feel as if all this was managed by people who just finished primary school. Crew is only good as management is, so I would start to review competency of this people.

Worst ever

After the first line operator asked me about my details, another one kept on asking me the same questions and interrupt me all the time. The last operator made me feel he was interrogating me, I just cut the line and no one can stand with this poor service.

Totally unacceptable service

Our dishwasher developed a fault, control panel was the obvious cause but at £68 I decided to call a local repairer, who recommended going to Indesit direct as it would take them upto a week to get the part. Anyway, booked online, easy enough, with a proposed visit two days later. I chose the D and G insurance offer of 6 monthly payments for peace of mind. Next day a call from an advisor, doing her best to sell me up to include more products and then said the date was now another two days. It was now the end of the week and I received a call to say the engineer was unwell and it would be pushed back to the Tuesday. I expected the engineer to arrive with the correct part, however he did not. He said they were in stock and I would receive a call.....I had heard nothing by the Friday afternoon and waited patiently for an advisor to tell me that the part was now in stock but it couldn't be fit for three weeks! I asked him to escalate this as I was not happy and he said someone would call me. This never happened. The same engineer came back and could not believe that it had taken so long. Unacceptable time scale, and poor communication. Engineer was brilliant, not his fault at all. Customer service simply want to sell you the warranties, however they are not worth it. My advise, use a local independent repair agent if possible and avoid the unnecessary stress.

Waited on the phone for 20-25 minutes…

Waited on the phone for 20-25 minutes to speak to an agent, extended every curtesy with the agent. All I needed was a wheel (including the fitting to attach it to the basket - a fact I admit I neglected to mention but I actually thought it was all one unit so it never occured to me). Was advised that he'd send out a full set so I had some spares. I was really happy at this point. Scroll forward to Saturday 22/03/25, I get one wheel - a single wheel with no fitting to connect it to the basket.

For clarification, the dishwasher was delivered 25/02/25 and had no wheel/fitting. We didn't realise and thought the issues with the basket were down to it being new.

Glad I didn't sign up for the extended warranty (that I got a phone call about before I'd even taken delivery of the item - nice little scam there burning a few extra days off). At this stage, I wouldn't trust Indesit/Hotpoint/Beko to sight their way out of an open paper bag made of tracing paper and I won't ever buy their products again.

I don't know if they even monitor this as a matter of course, but if they do, I can tell you now, that there's no fixing this. Something to simple and you messed it up gives me cause for concern about much more serious issues.

Edited after response:
Why would I call you back just to spend another 20 minutes on hold to still be dissatisfied? You had your chance, you epically failed to meet any standard of service, although the agent was pleasant enough.

Do not use

Appalling- left the dishwasher dangerously uninstalled with the water pipe flooding a cupboard with the plug socket after ‘fixing’ it.
An absolute nightmare to try and find anyone to speak to.
Choose a local repair company in future

Indesit my time washing machine

The service indesit give is ridiculous but it’s not indesit we speak to it’s hotpoint they brought indesit out I’ve had problems with my washing machine a year every time and engineer came out they was no fault found it was leaking from the draw where your wash powder and liquid goes it was leaking underneath the time wasn’t making sense to what the washing machine was doing and saying the time would go over. The customer service didn’t wanna help wouldn’t let me send prove in of the washing machine until I mentioned I will go trade and standers they gave me a code to either get a refund or different washing machine all together will never go back with indesit or hotpoint they ain’t bothered about anything took me nearly a year a to sort the washing machine out worst customer service I’ve dealt with

STEER CLEAR

Don't touch them with a barge pole. My washer/dryer broke down at the end of January an engineer came out on the 3 February and diagnosed the fault ordered up parts and sent message to office for another appointment to come out. The message came in with a date that wasn't suitable I phoned the number as instructed by engineer, it was an automated message telling me to go to website that wouldn't accept my date I phoned customer service who couldn't get the date in either & was told by his "manger" 😂 to put me through to another department who would be able to help low and behold it was the automated message again. I tried once more and this time it strangely accepted my date?? Indesit then changed my appt to a closer date my partner took time off work, waited all morning message came in they cancelled, this is now 3 weeks, eventually another engineer came out with no parts they told him it was a new referral 😡 we are over a month down the line engineer supposed to come today but cancelled once again. There has been a lot of messing etc this whole time and strangely enough they are blaming me "for not reaching out sooner"🤔🤔 even though I have shown them the proof of every time I have tried to contact them
