Deceptive practices
I responded to myIQ for additional information and have still not gotten a refund nor confirmation of cancellation of my account. My next step is to contact authorities regarding this theft of $89.97, (29.99 x3) which occurred on Dec. 5 and Dec. 8, 2025. Someone, please help me get results from this company and their deceptive practices.
Take care you WILL lose money
I must admit to not being the smartest man how I how I got so old is a mystery.
Anyway myiq.com is a carefully structured SCAM which will lure you in with a test & if like me you don't read ALL the information you will take the test & pay 2x£0.50= £1.00 now the catch. Some days later you will find a sum of money removed from your bank (£29.99). If you want to experience an exercise in deception try & get your money back. You will contact a machine which will convince you that the account is closed & a refund is being processed. How they program a machine to initially convince that all is well in the world is beyond me. However if you believe it you will also be as naive as me.
To conclude this is a way to generate money for a unscrupulous company. Beware if minus stars were available I would select it, (think of a number).
7.000 kr. for at se resultatet
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!
I will give zero stars if I could, this company SCAMMED me out of $29.99 a few days ago. I paid for a $1 one time fee for my IQ results and there was never anything in the print about a monthly subscription and next thing I know I got an alert for a charge from them.. their phone number is fake and when I tried to email them, they gave me the runaround..
SCAM
Avoid at all costs, they charge £1.00 for an IQ test then charge 29.99 a couple of days later. They are ripping people off and actually getting away with it. Contacting them for a refund is a waste of time as they go round in circles with ridiculous excuses to avoid refunding.
OH MY GOD
UPDATE: SOMEHOW when you click cancel subscription in the first email they send you once you have taken the test it says you signed up with cerebrumiq and sends you a link for that website and then cancellation seemed straightforward, and there is also a different email address that I have sent a refund request to: apparently trust pilot won't let me send the email address link but it's something like this
help then the at sign then cerebrumiq then a full stop and then com
fingers crossed but I have received a confirmation email of subscription cancelled.
Your subscription has been cancelled
Your subscription has been cancelled. No further charges will occur. You can continue using all features until April 30, 2025. After this date, you'll lose access to all features. A confirmation email has been sent to your email address. If you need further assistance, you can contact support at "as above as cannot show email address"
Return to Cerebrum IQ
BUT I have received an email from DAVID who was also the contact on myiq.com so pure scammers!!
This is only part of "invisible non existent David" has sent me from cerebrumiq
"when you completed the IQ assessment,
you chose to skip our standard trial period to take advantage of our promotional pricing. I understand there was confusion about what would happen after the initial test, and I'm genuinely sorry that the terms weren't clearer to you at that point.
Here's the situation I need to explain: our refund policy, which you can find at NOT ALLOWED TO SHOW THE LINK< SORRY
specifically states that promotions of this nature are non-refundable. When you agreed to skip the trial for the promotional offer, this policy applied to your subscription. These policies exist to ensure all our customers are treated fairly and consistently - they provide a clear framework that applies to everyone equally."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there are words I would like to use but I try to remain polite, I am going to try my bank now. Imagine how much money they are making out of this @ £29.99 per month per person.
OH MY GOD, awful awful awful, STAY AWAY, wish I had never done this stupid test, as everyone says you get 2 payments of 50p taken and then somehow they take £29.99 BUT mysteriously cannot then find your account anywhere so cannot refund you. How do i stop them taking another payment when I can't even talk to my bank!!!!! Shambles, utterly disgusting. I am FUMING
Please avoid
This is a con please do not get sucked in by paying the 0.50 one off fee as without your knowledge they will then start taking £29.99 out of you account. The biggest shock of all is dealing with my bank about this I contacted my bank immediately on the 1st payment of £29.99 They said they couldn't do anything until I requested a cancellation with the company and even though this was done, I am still having problems with my bank and another payment of £29.99 has gone through. The bank will not refund me and I have absolutely no chance of getting this back from this company looking at all the other reviews on here. I thought I would never get taken like this and have always been very very careful. Call me stupid but as I did this through Facebook and did not give any card details, I was so shocked to find out they still get all my bank details. You learn a new thing every day! Had I known that I would never have done this. Buyers please be aware that this happens.
This website is a complete scam
This website is a complete scam. The ad claimed the test cost around 1 euro, but after completing it they charged me 29.99 € without any clear warning. The information about the subscription was hidden in small print.
When I tried to cancel the subscription, the website did not allow it at all — the cancellation button simply didn’t work. Because of this, I was forced to block my payment card to stop any further unauthorized charges.
I never used their service, never logged into any portal, and definitely did not agree to any subscription. This is deceptive, dishonest and unacceptable.
I am demanding a full refund. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate.
This service uses hidden subscriptions…
This service uses hidden subscriptions and misleading billing practices. There was no clear or explicit notice that I was signing up for a paid subscription. The information is buried deep inside the Terms & Conditions, and the “welcome email” disguises the start of a recurring payment.
They charged my card without my explicit consent. After I contacted support, they promised a refund and confirmed my subscription was canceled — but the refund never arrived. Instead, they keep sending generic template messages and stalling.
Based on discussions online, this is clearly a widespread issue. Many users report the same pattern: hidden subscriptions, unauthorized charges, and refund promises that are never fulfilled.
I strongly advise others to avoid this service. Their behavior is deceptive and resembles a scam: non-transparent billing, evasive support, and no actual resolution.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs!
This is a total scam tricking you into paying just £1 for your confirmation IQ certificate vie email.
Foolishly I did this only to find that a further £29.99 was taken from my account and a monthly 'direct debit' for the same amount of £29.99 had been set up without my consent or knowledge.
I FAILED to recover the payment via Paypal so feel really scammed as well as totally let down by Paypal.
sneaky fees added after
CON CON CON
CON CON CON.
be warned, they suck you in for 50p then take 29.99 without consent. disgusting.
SCAM.!!!!!
Totally a 100 % SCAM. AVOID.
Just read some of the reviews on here and it also happened to me. Luckily it’s a spare old bank account and not my main one. Trust me they keep trying to get my £29.99 without any permission from me. So my IQ test results were high, yes that’s exactly why I used an account without any £££ in it lol 😜.
It's a scam
Can't believe I fell for it - you do the IQ test then they charge you £1 to get your result. I resisted for some time, but they kept emailing & eventually I was curious & paid the pound. What they don't tell you is that after only one week this converts to a £30 per month subscription. It is a scam, don't fall for it.
