They took my money
They took my money. Told me my Ad didn´t meet their demands. They never returned my money.
A waste of time unless you like spam…
A waste of time unless you like spam messages and timewasters!
I recently opened a Blocket account to sell some spare things in Sweden and soon realised it was a complete waste of time, and an expensive folly!
I listed some very nice things, very cheaply but it seems not too cheaply, as I only received 2 genuine messages from approximately 17 overall. The 'genuine' messages wanted my items so cheaply that it became insulting and I soon realised a complete waste of time.
The spam messages, ones that Blocket blocked from me viewing, initially were 12 fake enquiries but despite assuring no more would be sent to my account, 3 more appeared. It seems Blocket can't seem to block spam and maybe they should take some note of their own name when it comes to spam and BLOCK IT!
Next the costs are unbelievably high as everything is paid upfront. The listings stay for 60 days but after a week on the site Blocket sends out a message asking to remove the item 'if you've sold it'. 'Ta bort' its called in Swedish but this is not only presumptuous but a little insulting considering the investment made for each listing.
Almost all private listings are lost amongst approximately 513,000 listings online and can really only be found by specific word searching in the 'annonser' (search) section. If you operate as a company the listings are shown more clearly but the extra costs charged for a company aren't worth the money. Each listing varies in price but for 29 listings the cost is approximately £120 (GBP) upfront. A very high price for spam messages and derisory offers. Only 20 listings are displayed so the other 9 listings I have on Blocket can't be viewed by me so I have no idea how many views each of those listings have or are performing on the site. All the time I'm being asked to spend more money for my listings (as if £120 isn't enough for Blocket!). I don't think I'll be spending another penny so I'll put it all down to a very bad experience. If you move to Sweden and you read my review don't waste your money on Blocket. If you have a car, building material, gardening tools/machines and maybe camera equipment Blocket might be useful but don't waste your time with anything else. It's badly organised, full of spam and with only 10 million Swedes (less than the population of London for the whole country) don't expect sales like the UK. It's owned by a Norwegian media company that sells newspapers and Blocket like most print media is full of ads. Every listing is surrounded by Lotto, casinos and loans (Swedes are mad for loans and casinos) and lots of cars. Blocket should remove ads for private customers and reorganise the categories. Currently it's all over the place and this isn't right for the charges it makes for each listing. There are plenty of better options online and whilst I had to try Blocket to see what it is all about I don't think I will waste much more time with it. Sweden is a great country but sadly Blocket is not a great website to sell online.
Not at all buyer-friendly with respect to service.
Hello, I am writing my review on blocket after being cheated by a person and I stand helpless even after approaching blocket. Like every other person in Sweden I thought Blocket is both buyer and seller-friendly whereas it turns out to be blocket do not take any responsibility of this irrespective of the SAFE, insured aspects of their advertisement. I bought a car from a person using blocket. Then I realized that I was cheated in various aspects of the car. Then I had approach blocket for help, all the support they assure to give is nominal or limited to the advertisement and paper. They really did not want to take a stand for the person who was standing cheated (customer). Please do not trust blocket if you care for your respect and money.

Never use this s... website
This company is really the essence of Sweden: An endless list of ridiculous rules that makes life unnecessarily complicated and boring, plus Blocket.se has the highest fees I have ever seen for selling your old crap on the net. 50 kr for a standard add, and 20 kr extra if you want more than 1 picture. EBAY, please come and give this crappy, swedish monopoly company some competition!!
Doesn't work for non Swedes
Blocket charges a person to post an ad and this ad can only be paid using a very limited number of credit cards (a VISA or MasterCard issued from a Nordic country). There is also an option to pay for your ad using a Swedish issued phone number.
This website has effectively limited their user base to the Nordic countries making it impossible for a visitor or Swede living abroad to place an ad (looking for a furnished apartment for example).
In order to write other user who have posted their ads you must log-in. The log-in screen does not work either using a Safari browser.
Very limited usage for this site and disappointing response from the "customer service" team.
Best site to advertise and buy stuff
