ACCUPLACER
ACCUPLACER is a comprehensive, computer-based exam used to evaluate students' skills in math, reading, and writing for the purpose of placement. KSU's Admissions Office determines if students are required to take all or selected components of the ACCUPLACER exam based on SAT/ACT scores and high school GPA, or based on non-traditional status. Students should contact an Admissions Officer with questions about why they are required to test (770-423-6300). For practice questions, please visit the ACCUPLACER website before taking the ACCUPLACER exam.

If you are eligible to take ACCUPLACER, visit our appointment page to schedule an online appointment.
Begin by clicking on KSU Students, then log in with your KSU credentials and follow the drop-down menus to select which part(s) of the exam you need to take, date, and time that you want to take your ACCUPLACER exam.
Test administration fees are as follows if you are taking the ACCUPLACER for KSU Admissions: one exam - $15.00, two exams - $25.00, three exams - $30.00.
If you are taking the ACCUPLACER for a different university or for an employer, test administration fees are $30.00 for one, two, or three exams.
ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills)
TEAS exam is a standardized test used to evaluate a candidate’s basic academic skills, such as reading, math, science, and English language usage. It is designed to assess whether a candidate has the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in a nursing or allied health program.

Certiport
Dedicated to helping people succeed through certification. Certiport’s globally recognized credentials are aimed at enhancing individual productivity, marketability, and value.
Schedule your appointment and pay the test administration fee, then create a Certiport account if you do not have one.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP®)
The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) helps you receive college credit for what you already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. Developed by the College Board, CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program. Pass any of the 27 CLEP exams currently accepted for credit at KSU and achieve your college and career goals. The list of minimum passing scores for credit and corresponding KSU course listing is found on KSU's Credit By Exam page.
Setting up your CLEP exam is a two step process:

Credit By Exam
Prior Learning Assessment opportunities allow students to accelerate their studies by earning college credit through examination. Some exams are completed in high school, CLEP and DSST can be taken during your studies at KSU which can allow you to complete some of your degree requirements.
Some departments offer departmental challenge exams for advanced standing, which provides those students who demonstrate satisfactory evidence of acquired knowledge from prior learning to receive course credit.
Other requests for credit by exam should be initiated with a CPL coordinator. Please complete the CPL Inquiry Form to initiate the process.

DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)
DSST is an effective method to provide KSU with evidence of prior learning. Prior Learning Assessments will help you accelerate your path to degree completion while saving you the time it takes to sit through a course as well as the additional dollars spent on tuition.
While the exams are funded for active-duty military and their spouses, DSST tests are not just for those in the military. Adult learners, college students, homeschooled students, and military veterans are also eligible to earn college credits through DSST.

eCore
eCore—short for electronic core-curriculum—allows University System of Georgia (USG) students the opportunity to complete their first two years of their collegiate careers in an online environment. eCore courses are taught entirely online, except for the occasional proctored exam. eCore classes require at least one proctored exam during the course of study. eCore courses are designed, developed, taught and supported by faculty and staff from the USG.

Faculty Requested Exams
The Testing Center provides a proctored environment for KSU students to take course exams. No appointment should be made without first obtaining faculty approval. The center offers testing for students enrolled in online, hybrid, or on-campus courses. Students may schedule final exams, semester exams, make-up exams or convenience exams at the direction of their professor.
When faculty approval is obtained, you will need to schedule an appointment to register for the exam.

Foreign Language Achievement Testing Services (FLATS)
Students wishing to receive credit by examination for foreign language proficiency can use the Foreign Language Achievement Testing Service (FLATS) offered by Brigham Young University. You can earn 3, 6, 9, or 12 credit hours based on your proficiency level in any of the languages in the table below. Credits awarded will correspond to the KSU language course listing or FL if there is no associated KSU course at levels 1001, 1002, 2001, and 2002.

After registering for your exam through BYU, you will receive an email with exam instructions and a unique confirmation number and online exam password.
Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE)
The Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators® (GACE®) is Georgia's state-approved educator certification assessment program. These computer-delivered assessments have been developed by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) and Educational Testing Services (ETS).
The purpose of the GACE assessments is to help the GaPSC ensure that candidates have the knowledge and skills needed to perform the job of an educator in Georgia's public schools.
If you are registered to take your GACE exam with KSU Testing Center, please DO NOT bring your GACE Admission Ticket to the testing center. The admission ticket is NOTrequired for check-in. If you have any questions, give us a call 470-578-4800 or email ksutesting@kennesaw.edu.

USG Legislative Requirement Exams
The University System of Georgia (USG) requires all students in USG institutions to satisfy the United States and Georgia History and Constitution requirements prior to graduation. For KSU students pursuing a second baccalaureate degree, the history requirement can be satisfied by passing HIST 2112 or by passing the US and/or Georgia History Exam. The Constitution requirement can be satisfied by passing POLS 1101 or by passing the US and/or GA Constitution Exam.

After consulting with your academic advisor, schedule your appointment and pay the test administration fee.
You are allowed unlimited attempts to pass the USG Legislative Requirement exams. Each attempt will require an additional appointment.
Non-KSU Proctored Exams
For students from other colleges or organizations, the Testing Center will provide proctoring services at the request of your instructor or organization. If you have a request form that need to be filled out by the Testing Center, please email the form to ksutesting@kennesaw.edu, or by hand carrying the document to a testing staff member.
Non-KSU students will register for proctored exams, reserve a seat in the testing lab, and pay the proctoring fee by scheduling an appointment. There is a minimum $30.00 test administration fee for proctoring services.
