A fantastic service, I selected the CV, Cover letter & Linkedin package as it had been a while since I’d updated any of these.
Within 24h I was in contact with Aoun and had a first draft, and after a few tweaks I received a second draft that I was really pleased with.
Aoun was a great help when it came to creating content for Linked in and guided me though the entire process.
I now have a CV, Cover letter and linkedin profile that I can be proud of.

Last Monday 17Nov25, around 12noon, I purchased the Early Career package from PurpleCV’s website. At £100, their service included a CV + cover letter + revised LinkedIn profile, all within “a 2-day turnaround”. As a professional, I gave a passing thought to preferring thorough rather than quick but the thought passed. With more employers using a tracking system to screen their CVs before they land in the lap of a human, I considered this a useful gift to my graduate son transitioning into the world of work within his chosen industry. I called ahead to confirm 1) their familiarity with his industry [yes, they were] and 2) while their site assumed I, the buyer, would be using their service, I was not; so, I gave my son’s contact details to the efficient and understanding staffer, Keisha, at the end of the phone. I completed the purchase online with my son’s homemade and busy one-pager CV attached.
Later that afternoon, “Clare” from Purple CV emailed my son for clarification of his next role.

On Tuesday 18th, “Jacqui” emailed to introduce herself as his CV writer and, along with a warm welcome, he politely asked about the extent of her knowledge in his industry which he was happy to clarify for her. No reply.
On Wednesday 19th, a first draft CV arrived in nondescript format with errors in his name, email address (despite being emailed) and an interesting fiction in skills and subjects studied. Son emailed that there were numerous issues and perhaps a phone call would be efficient. No reply. No call.
On Thursday 20th, no further communication from PurpleCV.
Late afternoon on Friday 20th, my call was answered by Keisha again, who confirmed they worked until 8pm during the week, they also worked weekends and she would ask “Jacqui” to call over the weekend. I thanked her. No reply. No call.

It is now 23:51 on Tuesday 25th. This morning, a second draft CV arrived with only some of the issues addressed. Son is now convinced that all is not what it seems and that “Jacqui” should focus on the cover letter and LinkedIn profile now, as they may take another week. Each.

Here we are eight (8) days later, six (6) working days later. While I understand that sometimes good value takes time (and we would remain patient if that were remotely indicated here), I would like PurpleCV to deliver the goods that I have paid for in a timely and professional manner. While this "2-day turnaround" is still being processed, I will keep my fears to myself and hope that PurpleCV will do the right thing by this first customer ... given their non-refundable policy buried in their T&Cs.

Above reply from PurpleCV noted. Same day as my review above, my son received phone calls from PurpleCV around 6am, perhaps they work in a different time zone. Unanswered, a few hours later, a female PurpleCV staffer rang my son, who accepted her apologies and confirmed that his writer, "Jacqui", had not yet supplied his CV nor his cover letter or LinkedIn profile despite their 2-dayturnaround. The staffer promised to report back after speaking to "Jacqui" and asked whether his mother would adjust her review. He replied truthfully.

On Wednesday 3rd December, "Jacqui" delivered a corrected and accurate final CV + a generic cover letter + a LinkedIn template ... with an "extra cover letter" of his choice, as a bonus.

So, here we are again. Actually, here I am, as my son lost hope in their 'service' and moved on long ago. After paying £100 for a 2-day Early Career package on Mon17Nov, my son finally received my gift ... seventeen (17) days later on Wed03Dec.

The real cost? Suitable job application deadlines missed. Fruitless time spent following up by phone/email with "Jacqui" who did not respond (reasons were never offered). My initial concern that this service was a scam was curtailed by the many good reviews here. Unprofessional? Certainly.

Perhaps PurpleCV considers additional criteria besides payment when deciding which customers they actually deliver their product to on time, as advertised.

Interesting final CV product. If PurpleCV received a decent CV with minimal changes needed by them, would they be honest with the customer and say so? Or refund part-payment?

Brilliant Company - easy to contact, actually listened to my instructions and produced a fabulous CV with attached guidance on using LinkedIn with a profile. I really couldn't recommended them highly enough (well I have already told at least 3 people I know and one has already made contact after being impressed by CV)!

Absolutely amazing service from the time I called to the point I received my Cv back in under the specified time which in my eyes was truly incredible. This is an honest review, I used a company atleast 10 years ago to write my Cv and it was good, served the purpose for which I used it. This time I was truly amazed at what was actually possible !!
I now have 3 job interviews in different sectors as I asked for my Cv to be tailored to all my skills and qualifications. So with that and the cover letter which didn’t cost as much as expected im finding my perfect career finally !!

I went for the £50 package, but the CV I received was very basic — just a simple one-page layout. I’m not sure if the price affected the level of detail, but I expected something more polished and tailored. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel worth the money, and I’ll likely need to redo it myself if I want to apply for more competitive roles.

Good and timely

I worked with Rachel at Purple CV and had a great experience. She was prompt, responsive and open to feedback and amendments throughout the process. While I have yet to test out the new CV and cover letter, my LinkedIn profile already feels more complete and targeted, and my CV is far more concise and cuts out the noise I had previously included.

I decided it was time to start searching for a new job and to be honest I was exhausted with work and home life and I just couldn’t face updating my CV.
