One star is too many.
-My school deposit was released to Flywire on 19 March 2024.
- I've received two 'no-reply' emails from Flywire asking for more information about the school deposit.
- If the sender has released the school deposit, why does Flywire have to question the deposit?
-Why is Flywire creating artificial delay and keeping money so long? Flywire is just a simple intermediary between the sender's bank and the receiver's bank.
- One month later, I'm still waiting for the money.
- During this time the money is already in the Flywire account, it is earning interest for Flywire.
- In addition, Flywire has a very unfavourable exchange rate.
- If Flywire goes bust during this one month delay, who will cover the credit risk (loss of money)?
- Not only me, but many other people write about bad experiences with Flywire, see below.

Thank you for reaching out to Flywire! We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing a delay with your refund.
Flywire is a regulated payments business and as such we are required to adhere to strict Anti-Money Laundering (AML) best practices. In line with this, Flywire must ensure that funds are only ever returned back to the originating bank account.
Our standard refund process may require more information from the original payer, and we send a secure link via email to the payer's email address to upload the information required. As such, the emails are sent from a no-reply email address. Without the required information, Flywire may not be able to proceed further to complete the refund.
We want to assure you that our teams work to complete the refunds as soon as possible. Once the refunds are ready to be sent, the currency exchange will be based on the applicable rate at the time your refund is completed or what is received by our bank/payment partners. Thus the rates applied and the amount receive may differ from your original payment.
Kindly note that we do not provide payment support via Social Media for security reasons. We will be happy to assist you directly with your payment/refund ID.
