This was so poor absolutely shocking to me, I had a buyer receive a shirt from me, once received she had put in a dispute for a refund saying “the shirt has dry rot and ripped” so I asked for it to be returned and I can inspect the item. The shirt has come back and CUTS!! She had cut up the shirt and a big cut on the arm! Unbelievable. No dry rot in sight. ALSO GOT A REFUND! I’m in disbelief. I’m out $40 and a brand new shirt without tags. Can’t resell it etc. Absolutely disgusting behaviour her @xo_mikaela also is a reseller? Disgusting.
Love Depop
Love Depop! I love thrifting and recycling clothing. Seems it’s getting harder and harder to find things in Sydney as everything is scooped up and sold for 3 times the price at these big vintage markets. I’ve been able to find some really good quality unique pieces here that have been priced well. Even though sometimes it might be hit or miss with sizing buying online, I just repop it and hope to recoup the money. I’ve only had a few issues with some crap items and it’s been dealt with pretty easily between Depop or PayPal.

I got sent a counterfeit diesel bikini. I notified Depop and they resolved my issue within days and I got a refund.

They have done it again. No communication for over a week and have most likely lost my parcel……….AGAIN! Just the worst and useless all around. I have followed up over 20 times and NOBODY HAS GOT BACK TO ME. I hope they go out of business before 2030

Never again will i use these jokers this is easily the worst selling platform i have ever used as i am still waiting on my payment for the item i sold as it is still on there site as in transit when clearly it was delivered 3 days ago i have even received positive feedback for the item i sold but reading up on it i will have to wait 10 days for the funds to clear? 10 days lol yet with me having 777 feedback on ebay with 100% positive feedback i get my funds from ebay now within 4 hours ,so i gave this site depop a try and its the biggest mistake i have made selling wise as i now cannot wait until the funds clear as it will give me so much pleasure to close the depop account never to use again and tell them to ram there pathetic platform as its full off scammers and its absolutely littered full off counterfeit items ,so i will gladly stay on ebay as they are way more professional also add to the fact the depop customer service is pathetic and literally non existent i am surprised they dont ask you for your DNA an absolute joke of a site so if you have half a brain you will stay well clear of these clowns
A transparency moment — especially for fellow sellers.
I recently sold a pair of designer heels on Depop. The buyer returned them after wearing them, despite claiming they were not wearable.
Although I provided proof and was even willing to accept less than market value, Depop stated it cannot authenticate items or accept third-party authentication — and therefore offered no seller compensation.
I did receive the shoes back, thankfully. This experience highlighted an important gap in seller protection when it comes to luxury items.
Sharing this so others can make informed choices.
Awesome Seller Support
As a seller sometimes packages get lost or rerouted and USPS doesn't provide the new tracking information but Depop seller support was easily accessible. I received a quick response and continuous tracking updates.

Awful selling platform
Awful selling platform. By far the worst out there, stay away unless you want to get scammed. I sold a Dior bag, buyer didn’t like it as much a the photos and wanted to return it but I didn’t accept this as a genuine reason for a return as it’s not buy and try service. She opened a ‘not as described’ dispute claiming the bag is fake. I provided evidence to depop that the bag is authentic but they claim they can’t confirm authenticity, I offered additional third party authentication and they refused and said they don’t accept third party authentication. Absolute joke, the customer service advisers are unprofessional and highly inexperienced. There is no protection to the sellers at all. I won’t be using this platform!

Depop completely failed me. I provided tracking, photos, and video proof of a valid return, yet they still sided with the seller without showing a single piece of evidence. Instead of protecting buyers, they suspended my account with no transparency and no investigation. This platform enables seller fraud and punishes innocent buyers. Absolutely unacceptable.
