Her depth of knowledge across NIB products was immediately evident, and she guided me effortlessly through changing my policy type to ensure I received the most appropriate extras cover for my current needs. She also provided up-to-date information regarding pain-management device options, which was extremely helpful.

Worst health insurance company ever. Extremely slow response to basic questions and requests. Don't care about their customers in the slightest. Their customer service is beyond a joke. 28%+ price increases every year too. Stay away, don't go near them!!

Later I claimed it with NIB and it paid me way less then what I spent. The website information is to make their product attaractive. Dont trust them.

Appalling won’t answer calls I sat on the phone for over an hour still no answer. Cancelled my debit kept taking my money out won’t refund it. Put a small claim in following appointment said it was excess won’t pay. Wow look at their profit. You don’t have any support with these big companies rip off beware

Been with NIB for 10 years and I tried to add my partner for a joint health insurance, the person over the phone was perfectly nice but it was frustrating because they had different info to the website and kept changing their mind on the rates and products.
They sent a quote so we accepted it via customer service online chat, and the abridged version of the conversation was:
"ok your new premium will be $110 monthly, accept?"
"yes please"
"great you have paid, your new premium is $120 monthly"
Like ???? I had to go back and forth with them and apparently it was because of 2 reasons:
1. purposefully omitting that only the first payment was $110 and ongoing it would be more.
2. an error in their system.
They weren't able to fix the technical error. I was bringing them extra business and even after going back to just a solo rate, it was more expensive than previous. So I have given up and moved to a different insurer.

talked to a guy names Austin at 3:34 today and the great service i received from him was amazing. He wasn't able to fix the problem even after to doing a few things to help but had to send it off to IT.
IT got back fast and Austin rang me back as soon as he got the info from IT

I've had a billing nightmare with this company! Not only have they failed to pay invoices on time, but their customer service has been woefully inadequate. It's like they're playing a game of 'telephone tag' - every time I call, I get a different answer! And don't even get me started on the AI blame game. Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. They are a scam. Their website looks promising and the price of a policy makes them seem fair and affordable. However, they never pick up, waiting periods are always 50 mins +, even when I have waited for that length they hang up on you. They don’t respond to emails or queries you have about your policy. And you can’t even get a pre- approval because you can’t get in contact with them. Paid them for a year, and completely regret it! Clinics and providers are mostly not connected to Nib. Southern cross and AA health insurance seem 1000x better. Don’t go cheap, go reliable !

I regret moving to Bupa to this unorganised company. Wsiting for cards for over 3 months and unable to use my benefits. Please stay away! They also increased the fee twice in 2 months despite giving a separate quote when signed me up. Will be asking bupa to take us back this week. Ameatures.

They have withheld over $11,000 in valid invoices for weeks, despite everything being submitted correctly. Instead of processing payments, they gave me contradictory instructions (change line items, then void and reissue invoices, then resubmit again), and each time shifted the goalposts. I was even told verbatim a “support coordinator” blocked payments, and they provided me with an old support coordinators number who hasn't work with the client in 4+ months and had no idea about anything — so this was completely false as my client doesn't have a support coordinator.
After six weeks of chasing, misinformation, and fabricated requirements, the invoices remain unpaid. This has caused financial stress and disrupted essential supports.
After I lodged a formal complaint with them, they dumped the client instead.
If you want professionalism, consistency, or timely payments avoid nib Thrive at all costs.
They use AI to process payments, and are trying to be the monopoly.

Do not use this faceless company. It all has to be done via the app, and if you call them, you wait 45 minutes on hold listening to crap music. It's hard enough coping with the illness and drama of the sickness, then you have to deal with these guys.

Never using NIB again. worst system. zero customer care and pathetic claim management. trying to make the customers life hell who are already disturbed by the hospital bills. you guys don't delay taking payments from our accounts however reject the claim and pay nothing when we put in the claim. not to mention instead of asking for the missing information on a claim you guys close out the claim and conclude it. and then ask to submit the claim again with complete docs. why conclude the first claim in the first place. How insensitive of insurance company you are.

So I went to the hospital and had an examination done because of the swelling and bruising on my foot, I paid $230 to the hospital emergency room and was admitted to the hospital. I stayed in the hospital for one night and my foot was examined and x-rayed. Then I paid $500 excess fee. The hospital told me I would have to pay $704 for the x-ray, and I did. Although I have applied to claim for Nib 10 times, each time it is rejected because there is missing information and now they are not paying.If you are smart, stay away from this company. They took an Excees fee but I paid for everything out of pocket and I can't get it back even though my insurance covers it is disgusting, If someone wants all documents i can send everythink. I made a mistake, don't make a mistake, stay away from Nib
