Weird experience. The host of the property did not show up. I called Agoda they said check in is at 4pm only. Made no sense. It clearly stated check in is after 4pm What place has a 4pm check in only. While speaking to Agoda they just kept repeating check in is at 4 and ended the chat on me
I spoke to the property owner they accepted they made a mistake the property manager lost his phone and refunded me. Agoda literally just lied for no reason
Booked hotel and paid then on receiving booking confirmation realised I’d submitted wrong date, tried to amend booking but wasn’t able.Cancelled booking not realising that it was non refundable then Contacted hotel who said to book extra night and then they would reinstate original booking. I did this booked extra night and then was told hotel couldn’t change booking to contact directly. So I spoke with customer service who said they would contact the hotel and get a refund for first booking and then to rebook as they couldn’t reinstate. I later received an email to say that the booking was still cancelled and that they would do nothing!!!!
Bad service, had I have wanted a refund I totally understand but all I wanted was to add an extra night!!!!!
Bad service all round, if you’re booking with this outfit make sure you make no mistakes as they cannot be rectified!!!
Worst and Very bad experienced Never ever again Centrio tower CDO. with agoda. Booked 13 nights at Centrio tower Cagayan de oro city . Used only 3 nights. Owner kicked me out, because i complained about the water leakage in the bathroom and toilet was stuck up. 10 days was not even refunded!!! Nov. 13-26.2025 .Have to stay 10 days at my brothers house.Worst experienced!
Extreme disappointment and frustration with the handling of my booking cancellation request.
I must be absolutely clear: The hotel accepted my cancellation request. I have evidence confirming the hotel's agreement to the cancellation. Despite this, the agoda team is refusing to process the refund, repeatedly blaming the hotel for the inability to cancel. This is a direct contradiction of the facts.

I am VIP Diamond membership but decide to leave Agoda after years using. The staff said very sure that s/he could cancel my flight with minimal fee (Agoda fee was waived) due to my mistake on date booking, the request was made 1 hr after my booking. Then I decided to book another ticket on the right date. It turned out the flight did not refund any, and it was much more expensive than if s/he told me to change the flight instead. awful, awful. do not use. I booked a london hotel, they emailed me saying payment didnt go through so i booked again with a different card. been charged twice, dealing with their customer service is the most annoying thing ever. I will never use again.
As a company, Agoda is very successful at making its customers feel bad and scammed. Not only customers, but also there is a massive customer support force that does not care about any claims or truth, as revenue is most important.
I have had a long and unpleasant conversation in which Agoda CS was lying on chat, making false allegations about what the hotel manager said to them, to avoid a free cancellation for a double booking caused by the Agoda system. And I was seating next to this manager in a hotel ;)
Dear Customer Support from Agoda, change your job to something meaningful that you will be proud of, and do not waste your life or other people's lives.
I booked with Agoda for price but it wasn't worth it. Their Autocorrect misspelled my name and I had to make multiple calls, and emails to try and fix it. I ended up being overcharged for this service to correct a problem their software caused. Hours spent trying to fix this issue. At one point they wanted me to send them a complete copy of my credit card bill. Thi is where I drew the line and I guess I will have to pay
the overcharges or not get my tickets. Do not book with this company!
Scammers, wish I’d looked at all the terrible reviews before I’d booked. Sold me a very expensive room only to receive an accommodation voucher for a budget annex.
I thought I was getting a beautiful villa on the beach as discerned on their website but have a voucher for a room overlooking a busy road without a balcony. Feel totally scammed. This was meant to be a special celebration for our 35th anniversary.

Update/ I have contacted the hotel they have emailed me to confirm that they do not have my booking, Agoda have taken my money and not booked and refuse to let me speak to a manager. This is a rogue company that needs to be closed down.
I booked a hotel in Melbourne that for all I know never existed. I tried calling the listed number to confirm some details about the site access - there was no answer and then the same at least 10 times over a week, no answer. So then I contacted Agoda for help, and got nowhere, just an AI agent looping around and around without escalating the complaint to a real agent. I ended up cancelling the week prior to the trip, booking somewhere else and Agoda would not refund me, even when I wrote in a complaint. Won't use this booking agency again. Process chargebacks people!
I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Their level of negligence is completely unacceptable. Our hotel booking was cancelled without any notice whatsoever — no email, no call, nothing. The only reason we found out something was wrong is because we reached out due to the lack of communication.
When we contacted customer service, they accused us of providing an invalid email address and tried to claim that was why the booking was cancelled. This was completely untrue. We immediately sent them screenshots of previous emails they had already sent to the exact same address… and as soon as we provided that proof, they stopped responding entirely.
We are now literally traveling to our destination with no hotel to stay in because of their failure to communicate and their refusal to take responsibility.
This company is irresponsible, unprofessional, and leaves customers stranded without support. I strongly recommend booking elsewhere if you don’t want your trip ruined. AVOID AT ALL

I am a travel agent from Fort, Mumbai, India, and I booked a ticket for my guest through this platform. I even paid extra for Refund Protection, which clearly states that the ticket can be cancelled up to 3 hours before the journey.
However, when the guest’s trip got cancelled and I tried to cancel the ticket through the “Manage Booking” option, it showed Non-Refundable. Then what is the point of paying extra for Refund Protection?
Since yesterday (Indian time 11:00 AM), I have raised multiple support requests, but all I get is an automated message saying the support team will respond within 24 hours. It has now been 36 hours and still no response from anyone.
There is no customer care phone number or email ID available anywhere—not on Google, not on their website. This is extremely unprofessional and frustrating.
Very disappointed with the service. Not recommended at all.

I am filing a complaint against Agoda for deceptive and fraudulent travel practices. I booked what was clearly advertised as a hotel room at FIVE Palm Jumeirah in Dubai for December 25, 2025 – January 6, 2026. Agoda confirmed the booking and charged me the full hotel rate.
I later learned from the hotel directly that my reservation never existed in their system. Instead, Agoda’s partner fraudulently placed me in an entirely different property — the Airbnb-style FIVE Residences — which is approximately $10,000 cheaper than the hotel I paid for. This is a clear case of bait-and-switch, misrepresentation, and intentional deceptive advertising.
Agoda acknowledged internally in writing that they booked me at the wrong accommodation. They then attempted to offer me only a refund and $1500 AgodaCash, even though hotel prices have now increased nearly 10x since the original booking, leaving me stranded without the hotel I paid for during peak holiday season.
Their customer service provided conflicting information, denied responsibility, and delayed resolution for over a week, causing severe emotional distress, financial loss, and threat of losing my holiday trip entirely.
This appears to be a coordinated practice between Agoda and its suppliers: advertise one property, take payment, and place customers into cheaper apartments without disclosure — a fraudulent business practice.

Agoda needs to answer this clearly.
This is not the first time I’ve faced serious issues with Agoda. It’s becoming a pattern now — fake or incorrect listings, hotels that don’t exist, wrong addresses, and zero responsibility from your side. I submitted every possible piece of evidence: photos, videos, location details, and proof that there is no such hotel at the listed address. Still, Agoda is treating this as a valid booking and refusing a proper refund.
