Hiding basic services and censorship
Hiding basic services behind pay walls is pathetic.
Removing mods they don't agree with is pathetic.
Just a bunch of sad little people
they are an issue and a cancer!

Be careful about what files are in your mods
Look, I'm one for great mods, But as a computer builder/programmer. I do have deep concerns for the mods that get uploaded to nexus.
For starters when mods get created, They need code to run, but in some cases people like to plant tracking software in the files that usually have a .exe .dll .bat or .cmd if none of you know what they do, I advise you to look them up in terms of tracking because I've found that mods in nexus, contain them, and it concerns me more when people wanna track us through IPs and other sources, So I advise people to protect there privacy and please make sure you check the files within those mods, because there shouldn't be any need for tracking just to play a mod.
Extremist Church
It's an online extremists church of sexist, racist and hatespeech priests that go on and kill off everything from their site that is not at their level of extremism.
Lifetime Premium member thoughts
I have been a lifetime premium member for more than 5 years. The combination of functionality, catalog of mods for almost every game I play, and Vortex integration for mod installation and management makes it my go-to site for modding
Age verification
Age verification. Imagine being such a bunch of spineless cowards you bend over for the UK government

No thanks. Bye.
Money grabbers
They just want to take your money, downloading with normal speed is behind a paywall, they are just a site not modders. and they far left, so they ban what they want and dont like
Good and trusted site for game mods
Good and trusted site for game mods, their Vortex mod manager is not bad.
It is however cluttered and not providing the option to once donate 20$ for a lifetime max download speed access is a weird design choice.
I get that they have running costs, but keeping ads on the website while offering proper download speed of USER GENERATED content can't be that hard.
the webside is terrible
the webside is terrible, downlnding 20kb takes 10 min, register takes me 30min with this terrible captha,
900+ mods...
900 mods.. 900+ mods in a single mod collection and they want me to either pay for their overpriced subscription or slow download 900+ mods manually. need i say more about why this site sucks?

It would be wrong for me to give them 1/5!.
However. The experience I've just had does in my opinion justify the rating I've given.
I am a 50 something year old man, I've been gaming since the early 80s (Cpc 464) I've used Nexus on and off over the years with different accounts and found them to be spot on and professional with a decent site and offering decent support.
I know other users on here (Trustpilot) will have a 'bigger axe to grind' with Nexus BUT they are a decent setup and one I trust! so Here is my issue.
I recently went back to '7D2D' and went with the premium package with Nexus which I think is fantastic value for money!.
I've been back with them a tad over a month and went on their site to get some new mods for my dedicated server 7d2d V2.3, However. I were greeted with a tiny 'splash screen' telling me I cant access 'adult content' UNTIL I verify my age?.
Ok, but how as I'm using a PC and I don't have the nexus app installed on my phone which has a damaged camera as explained but my wife took a clear photo of my passport but K-id wont accept that??? talk about making simple thing hard.
I don't see why I should be forced into installing their app just to prove I am above 18 cause 7d2d is an 18+ game so most of the mods I wont be able to see/DL.
So I sent an email to Nexus but as it was friday afternoon I received an automated reply as they work business hours only, but I did get a reply from the company that Nexus are using to do all this 'age verification' and who Nexus outsource the ID issue to, the company is called 'K-ID' they spelt my name wrong and replied with absolutely nothing relevant to my issue, did anyone at K-id actually read my email before they pasted a totally scripted reply?.
So I found out there is NO solution and looking at what users are saying on 'Reddit' about K-ID I am staying away from them, but this means I've had to cancel my subscription with Nexus and tbh I am really 'miffed' (the use of a better word) with Nexus that they have no alternative solution,
So basically IF you wont install the Nexus app you cant prove your older than 18 and it means you cant access adult content/mods and with games that have a 18 certification that causes a real issue if you are looking for a mod..
Honestly its not the work of Einstein for Nexus to find an alternative solution for users who DONT want to feel forced into installing their app,
I do appreciate that its new legal legislation so WHY don't Nexus speak to K-id and get a solution sorted, Nexus loses my support as I've since cancelled today my subscription and that's so sad cause I really liked using them cause they offer such a great service.
Premium subscription scam
Using freeware content, voluntarily shared by mod authors, to promote your "premium" subscription has to be classified as a scam. Installing their "mod manager" is just an extra step to still downloading and installing the mods one-by-one while visiting the "please wait 5 seconds" page if you don't have premium.
Hilarious
Honestly, a 1.7 star average rating for a website with more than 66 million users, more than 7,726 million unique downloads and more than 261 million endorsements is kind of hilarious. Oh, and they've given me lifetime premium membership for translating their Vortex app so my review could be biased. :)

It constantly crashes
The app crashes time and time again. Sometimes, it's just a black void before it crashes without warning, and other times, it opens, appears to be working, but the moment I enable/disable or install/uninstall even a SINGULAR MOD, it stops responding, and it's always a 50/50 chance of whether it'll crash and close itself or resume working like nothing happened.
Wooow! Just as I'm typing this, I opened the Nexus Mods App out of curiosity and guess what? It worked right away, I went to enable one of the Mod Loadouts, and it IMEDIATELY STOPS RESPONDING! Talk about garbage app! It's seriously rivaling with the EA App
Purchased premium because it said I can…
Purchased premium because it said I can one click download a whole list of mods. Didn't work so I requested an immediate refund. Was told via email supoport that they won't refund me because I've gone over the downlaod limit of 20 mods, even though I havent even downloaded anthing yet under premium. All my recent mods were downloaded under the free download option. Absolute scam. No wonder they have a 1 star rating.
