Ködern einen mittels Google wegen Resident Evil 7 Savefiles auf die Webseite, man wird zu einer Zwangsregistrierung dort gezwungen, wenn man die Speicherstände herunterladen will seitens von Nexus Mods.
Man wird von Nexus Mods bei der Registrierung dazu gezwungen den Newsletter sich schicken zu lassen, dem zu stimmen zu müsse gezwungenermaßen mit genug Druck ausgeübt seitens von Nexus Mods.
Beweis: Ohne Registrierung keine Speicherstände gibt es zum Downloaden.
Ohne das Häkchen zu setzen beim NEWSLETTER, geht die Registrierung nicht weiter technisch voran auf der Webseite.
Was heißt man wendet hier ZWANG an. um an die Daten von USERN zu erhalten. Denn ja es gibt immer noch Websites wo man Speicherstände herunterladen kann ohne eine Zwangsbeglückung zur Registrierung eines Accounts, stellt euch das mal vor.
Das ist sehr unseriös und riecht nach Betrug sehr.
Dann stellte sich heraus, das sind Lua Dateien, keine Bin Dateien.
Ich benötigte aber Speicherstände die auf BIN enden nicht auf LUA, somit sind die Speicherstände nicht zu gebrauchen für STEAM USER die dort RESIDENT EVlL 7 spielen.
Man lockt dort auf die Leute auf die Webseite mit dem Versprechen es gäbe Speicherstände für den MADHOUSE MODUS explizit mit für diesen Modus wird man hin gelockt, wenn man mit google, nach den Stichworten Madhouse Modus Savefiles sucht, dann findet man die SEITE NEXUS MODS die Downloads anbietet, für den Madhous Mods und die Speicherstände.
Speicherstände, die man nicht nutzen kann, was soll ich damit bitte?
Der Account wird wieder gelöscht, wenn das möglich sein sollte, hoffentlich.
Was auch sehr verdächtig wird, man sieht gleich bei der Registrierung eine Premium Funktion.
Seid bitte vorsichtig Leute und hinterlegt dort keine Bankdaten.

Easy place to find and download mods. It does everything it says on the tin. The only problem is the slow download speeds, but if having a free site means having to wait longer, it's perfectly reasonable.

I can't even download anything without having to sign away my email address (which is already completely cluttered) and apparently there's no workaround that doesn't involve stealing someone else's premium API key. While Nexus themselves says that it's to prevent mod theft and plagiarism, it clearly didn't work because Nexus themselves said that theft is rampant on their site in a post addressing the issue. Making security more annoying will only deter righteous people from signing up.

Rampant censorship is pretty much the norm, even though said mods only actually affect people who actually downloaded it on a local level. Want to do away with pronoun nonsense? Nope, banned. Want to slip in and download a mod that merely adds more fish to Stardew Valley before slipping out? Nope, you have to log in and sign away your personal data.

While I never used the download (because I CAN'T use it; it's behind a login wall), I've heard that it's capped at a measly 3 mb/s, which is as slow as a snail. If an adblocker is used like the Brave Browser, it is capped at a 1.5mb/s which is even worse. And I've heard that premium only lets you download at 8 mb/s which is practically a scam, especially if you have 50mb/s as a default.

They remove mods they deem "offensive", but leave straight up porn and zoophilia up. Hypocricy at its worst.

They don't know how to manage this website. They hire developers and community managers that come out of nowhere because of DEI. I'm not even a political person, just someone in the "center" but these people are pushing me to go to the right and that's how they threat their users. We need an alternative, a free place for modding. I am all for it. Some modders have personal websites, some are on non-english modding sites (often with barriers to registration or downloading), some are even on Twitter/Discord only
