Unreasonably Obstructive
Having used the services of Companies MadeSimple for over 12 years and have registered 8 separate companies and paid them annually a large amount of money. I would like to think I am a good customer. All the companies are registered at my home address and the payment card I use to make payments is an HSBC business debit card registered at my home address. Over the last 12 years or so, Companies MadeSimple have prepared and filed Confirmation Statements for all 8 companies. So, to get to the point, they know who I am, where I live and have been happily taking money from me for over a decade. Now I am being treated as unknown and potentially dodgy. I tried very hard to comply with Ruhel’s requests for evidence, but became more and more frustrated as everything I submitted was rejected for ridiculous reasons. I was asked for a bank statement to prove I live where I say, and they know I live. I found a personal, not business bank statement that I received in the post, so I blanked out the two lines showing the balance as this is my private and confidential information. I scanned it and sent it to Ruhel. It was rejected because I had blanked out the balance, I didn’t blank out the address, which I thought they wanted, but no, they also want to see how much money I have. So, I sent it again showing the balance, but this was rejected again stating that they do not accept scans and they wanted a photograph. Ok, so the document is ok, but they want a photograph. So, I take a photograph as requested. This was also rejected with what is the most ridiculous reason so far; not enough transactions. I then gave up on bank statements and went hunting for something else. I found a council tax bill and tried that. No response at all, other than an email from Companies House with a verification code, so obviously that did the trick. I sent Ruhel an email thanking him for all his help and he said “it was a pleasure” , not for me it wasn’t. Ruhel said he would appreciate my feedback and to mention him by name. Companies House introduced new identity verification regulations on 18th November 2025 for all UK Directors and PSCs, which we have to ensure we are compliant of - This has meant that we have to ensure the information given to us by our customers is adequate to pass these ID checks.

I bought a company from them. Firstly, their prices were the most affordable I could find online, so their margins are so sensible looking at competitor pricing. Secondly they provide a larger number of additional services than their competitors; this is where shelf company sellers differ from each other. Thirdly their customer service was extremely helpful. Would recommend them if you need a company.
