Frost free freezer not actually frost free
Have a large upright freezer which is 14 months old and playing up. Difficult to get hold of them, has to buy repair cover so they can come to fix. So a frost free freezer, has issues because it’s got ice stuck in it. Although the engineer was lovely but the issue is that this should not happen to a frost-free freezer so not fit for purpose. Was told this happens a lot and customer service should tell people that they need to turn freezer off for 48 hours, instead they sell you repair insurance for a few hundred pound.

If there was an option of 0 stars, that's what I'd give this company for their customer service.
My very elderly parents washing machine stopped working. The expert technician that called said this was one of the machines being recalled and at any time could go on fire. Photos and all relevant information was sent back to Indesit and they are now refusing to honour this recall. The technician called again and took more photos and still Indesit won't budge on a fault in their machines. The upset this has caused my parents and now they are out of pocket having to buy a new washing machine through no fault of their own. Never again would any of my family buy from this company again.

On 27th July 2023 we had a new integrated fridge / freezer delivered and installed by Indesit . We found an inside drawer cracked which Indesit replaced. However after the installation engineers left , after telling us to wait six hours to use the machine , we found that the machine did NOT work. We immediately contacted Indesit service dept and a lady guided us through the control panel telling us to wait 24 hours to ensure it worked. We waited and it still didn’t work , so we again contacted Indesit and had a video call with a male service agent who again guided us through the control panel and told us to wait 24 hours and if it still didn’t work , to call out an engineer. It still didn’t work so we called for an engineer visit and were told that the earliest available date was 8th August which was THIRTEEN days after the initial fault report. Engineer arrived but could not determine the reason for the fault and telephoned back to Indesit to inform them of this and that we would like a new machine to replace the FAULTY BRAND NEW machine they had just installed. This was refused by Indesit who insisted on MORE tests being carried out to establish the problem before considering a replacement. We have been informed that the earliest available date for the engineer is in ANOTHER TWO weeks time on 22 nd August and even then there is no guarantee that the machine can be repaired!! This will now be a MONTH that we have been without the fridge freezer and will be even LONGER if it can’t be fixed and we have to wait yet again for a replacement machine. My wife and I are both disabled pensioners and have found this siuation very difficult. The customer service has been dreadful and One thing we can be ABSOLUTELY certain of is that we will be UNLIKELY to EVER buy an appliance from this company again !!

The Long Wait
I have just returned from waiting for an engineer to call to repair an Indesit washer dryer with F15 error. We had a 12:45 till 15:45 slot booked today after a Saturday appointment was missed. We were standing in for my daughter and we informed them we needed 15 minutes to get to the property. Today's saga at 10:36 nearly 2 hours early! We received a text to say the engineer would arrive in fifteen minutes as it is a fifteen minute drive we rushed to meet him. We arrived just after 11am yes it took longer to get there. There was no card left to say the engineer had arrived etc. So we called the call centre to see if the engineer was still due. They said he was so the long wait started, when it got to 15:45 we tried to ring again this time our phone died. 16:00 we gave up and went home, we spoke to our daughter who is going to cancel the so called service plan that is now at least three families who will avoid this company and it's services.

I am thrilled with my purchase from the appliances store as my order arrived in pristine working condition, and there were no issues whatsoever. When it comes to dependable appliances and swift delivery, this store is unmatched in its trustworthiness.
Poorly designed
I purchased an undercounter fridge with ice box. Guarantee ran out when the door to ice box broke, through a badly designed door. The lock was so flimsy, it snapped, and I was unable to use it. I am disabled and tend to look after appliances. I have had to purchase another fridge where the design is far superior to this one.

Following on from my recent negative review - I had the engineer come back today and they arrived on time, he was professional, polite and was able to fix my washer/dryer within 30mins. This was great customer service.

I'm following up on my previous review because I had a reply from the service that suggests they will help me if I reach out to them, which I find quite misleading and dishonest as I already tried the customer service 10 times to sort this efficiently, and basically no one helped.

Well first for context, I had been waiting for 10 days for this appointment. I woke up at 7am on a saturday specially for this.
- Now after checking several times the status of the repair I see it says customer out. While I was obviously there and intercom did not rang nro my phone...
- I call customer service while still in my appointment time window but basically there's "nothing they can do to help". I mean... Why is the engineer not coming back??? He's the one that went away without contacting me...
- I'm told he sent a picture of the door so was there... That's great but then why did not he ring my flat intercom? Why did he not try to call me if not sure? Why did not he call management or anyone to get info he needs?
- I'm told he rang all the intercoms - NOT TRUE... I was there and it never rang.
- I'm also told he had someone from another flat replying to him - well that's great but why did he not ring my flat???
- I'm told that they called him and he would let me know if it was possible to come back... HE NEVER DID OBVIOUSLY, too happy to finish the day early
All he did is show up at the door, take a picture of it and not carry out the work and pretend it's because I was not there while I had been waiting since 7am...
The worst thing is that now to get another appointment, I NEED TO WAIT ANOTHER 10 DAYS AT LEAST!!!
Now despite complaining, calling all channels to get support, I DID NOT GET ANY SUPPORT TO SORT THIS SITUATION.
I should not be the one penalised when the engineer did not bother to do his job correctly...
So if anyone from Indesit customer service read this, please stop asking me to reach out to the contact form or customer service as I did not get any help so far.
If you want to do your job properly:
- Please call me directly and find me an emergency repair appointment ASAP. It should be your job to fix this situation, not mine. This needs to be escalated.
- Suggestion: Stop letting the engineer getting away with a customer out when they can still come and do the job. They should put on hold their current journey and come back to do the one they did not do, especially while still in the right time window.
- Suggestion - make sure to call the customer before engineer can "out" the repair
I don't care whether he posted a picture of my door in your system, he never rang my flat. It is even worse, it means he was there but did not bother make sure to contact me... This is really unprofessional and I am still FURIOUS about this.
Dangerous fault, appalling customer care
We have 2 double fan ovens just over 2 years old. During the night one of the glass doors exploded covering my dogs and kitchen in thousands of sharp glass splinters. The oven was not on and there had been no accidental damage. Indesit showed no concern what so ever even though other cases had been noted on line. I'm very concerned if this happens to the other three doors. Indesit would only investigate if I paid them to send someone out! I am now liasing with Trading Standards. Thank god no one was hurt.

The appliances I purchased
The appliances I purchased, including a refrigerator and a microwave, have been functioning flawlessly since their installation.
Not good.
Not good.
Called 15:32 om 31/05/23, a lady called Chloe answered and asked a few questions, then put me through to another team, and I was just kept on hold.
When you call them there is a long pre-recorded message on how they want to use your data etc obviously they also make money from your data as well which I guess they sell on.
Waste of a call and time.

A follow up on my previous review
A follow up on my previous review. I have now been told that the 'free parts warranty' is dependant on paying for their engineer to come out and fit it. Seems the antithesis of free to me.
Ill not buy from Hotpoint again, all they are interested in is me paying for insurance, extended warranties and so on. I bought a machine with a 10 years free parts warranty - but no mention of having to pay a fortune for a visit to do a very simple job.

'Customer Service'
I contacted Indesit after my 18 month old washing machine developed a fault. The lady at 'customer service' asked me had the machine been making a noise before? I wasn't sure- I had been in a different part of the house when it was going through the spin cycle. Somehow this was my fault and the lady had a go at me as she 'could not diagnose the problem'. She then transferred me to another person to discuss payment for the repair. The man I spoke to was also curt and rude. Both payment options seemed rather expensive and I wasn't sure what to do and felt pressured into making a decision and made to feel stupid as I did not know the price of a replacement washing machine. I was glad to end the call. I would rather the washing machine stays broken than to use this 'service ever again. The way Indesit responds to the negative comments with zero empathy or care speaks volumes too.

I honestly don’t think I’ve dealt with a worse company. 7 attempts to fix a machine and the problem still exists, their ‘12 month warranty’ on repairs is only valid if you have an ongoing service contract so isn’t a warranty at all.
They says if they cannot repair the machine they’ll replace it. They refused to do this as well.

Appointment timing and address shambles
It took over a week for an engineer visit to repair a 13-month old tumble dryer.
Our appointment was booked for 07:15 - 10:15 and according to the website we were the first appointment so we reasonably assumed 07:15 as that’s their earliest appointment time.
At 09:00 the engineer arrived at the wrong address - our billing address not the delivery address where the tumble dryer is located.
The engineer’s job information contained the wrong address and didn’t even specify the model number despite the correct address and model information appearing on the Indesit Service website.
To be fair to the engineer himself, he was great, efficient, courteous and fixed the problem within ten minutes.
He had actually driven from his home past the correct location to get to the wrong location and so had to drive back across the city and eventually arrived at 09:20 after I had been waiting there for over 2 hours for the first appointment of the day.
Overall, a waste of 2 hours for me, a wasted journey for the engineer and all caused by the shambles that is their booking system.

Terrible service
Terrible service - have now waited a month for the engineer to come with the part , with no washing machine and two disabled children.
They wont answer What App Messages , answer their phone lines , answer social media messages , won't reply to complaints , won't give me their address for service of a summons . If you do get in any sort of conversation they refuse to answer if the engineer will arrive that day. They did tell me that they don't give priority to anyone that is disabled as they are ' not an emergency service' . Last time they failed to turn up someone falsified the records their end to show the repair as complete. They then booked an appointment for today and they have failed to turn up again , and failed to contact me , and wont answer the phone - they just cut off the calls .
Dot touch them with a barge pole - go with another manufacturer

Awful customer service
Awful customer service, came to repair my washing machine, needed a new part. New appointment a week away, then next day cancelled this appointment. Rearranged for today, and cancelled again, next appointment in 8 days time. That makes it 20 days without a washing machine!!! Having to use a launderette which is costing a fortune. Avoid being drawn into a policy with them, as this company needs to sort its customer service out big time.

Absolutely appalling customer service
Absolutely appalling customer service. The engineer came and completely disconnected water to all areas of our kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher which we only discovered after the engineer had gone. When I called, I spent 40 minutes speaking to the same person who advised that the issue could be fixed in 10 days time and there was nothing he could do about it. 10 days time?! This was a mistake of the engineers which could pose a serious issue if the water leaks. This also will cost additional funds as we cannot use the washing machine or dishwasher, completely unacceptable evening after asking to speak to a supervisor for the duration of the call. After 40 minutes, no solution was reached and completely unhelpful. As a new customer, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company

Absolutely pathetic - engineer cancelled appointment to fix our washing machine with no explanation whatsoever after having waited for 2 weeks. Next available appointment in another weeks' time, but again no guarantee that anyone will show up or bear any responsibilities in case they won't.
