Wanted to love it, took my money and can’t do anything now. Buyer beware. Not an honest company

I ordered the SainSmart Genmitsu 4040-PRO MAX CNC Router, the Y axis will not work, doesn’t show up on the software, they claim that there is help and warranty but I can’t find either. I’ve tried all of the manufacturers troubleshooting and everything says that the motherboard is the problem. Even if I wanted to deal with it myself and buy a motherboard to fix it, even though it’s under warranty, I can’t find one. Nothing good to say. I own an expensive thing that looks cool but does nothing.

I had some trouble getting my 3018 up and running, but Sainsmart support handled all my issues quickly and efficiently. I have rarely dealt with suppliers who has been as responsive.

I purchased an accessory for my 4040…

I purchased an accessory for my 4040 PRO Max and it was mislabeled. I let them know and their response was immediate and the replacement was sent out the same day. I love everything about SainSmart and their products!!

Great little hidden gem of a company

Great little hidden gem of a company. Sainsmart has so many different products for a home maker's space. I picked up a jointer, and my friend has their CNC, which both work great. Fast shipping as well. I've also talked to their customer service, and they are fast and helpful.

Bought the SainSmart 3020 pro max cnc…

Bought the SainSmart 3020 pro max cnc router. I was so so very pleased with the looks and craftsmanship, especially for the price. After receiving the package and building the router I was very exited to route my very first project only to experience the machine has a core business in throwing the Check Estop error message. Seems the main board is faulty, at least it’s what I read online, plus a few how to’s how to fix the error using more stops, 3d printed parts and the best of all: solder some shit on the main board. This is the very worst purchase in a long long time. Had high regards of SainSmart, but they prove to be a manufacturer of non working machines. The software lacks functions, you can not erase error messages. The software is slow.
IMHO if you want to buy a cnc router, never ever buy from SainSmart and just put down the extra money for a working machine with normal software from a trustworthy vendor. Now I have to spend more time in trying to get this piece of garbage to work or a new main board or, that’s the best solution: my money back! If I could give a negative star, it would be -2! Better throw your money down the drain than giving it to SainSmart.

The Spoiler Plate for my 3020 to 3040…

The Spoiler Plate for my 3020 to 3040 expansion was not the same thickness as my original plate. I had to Shim the hell out of the old one to level them up and it is still not perfect.

Piss poor customer support

Piss poor customer support. Machines are not high quality builds. I spend more time down repairing the machine than I do running.
