The support system used to be great, but now it is one of the worst system. The ticketing system takes ages to resolve a problem, as it doesn't have any relatime support. The chat system takes ages to get connected, we have to pause everything and have to look at the screen, till the agent connects, once they connect, we have to make reply a super fast, if not they just ruled out that we're not available.

I feel like they just wanted to have the help desk for sake of having that feature and they expect us not to use that.

But when you're purchaisng a new service, surprisingly the agents are available all the time and they can wait till our next question.

I’ve been with DreamHost for over 15 years and have loved the reasonable pricing and pretty intuitive control panel for setting up sites and databases. I recently had a PHP version issue that killed one of my sites and they were extremely fast and efficient at fixing the problem. Highly recommend their services and support team.

A bad plug-in jeopardized my WordPress site and the tech support at DreamHost was able to deactivate it when I could not. I was able to take back control in the dashboard. Prompt reply over email in about one hour.

I had an issue with my hosted website after domain renewal. Something had gone wrong with the SQL and my site went offline. I tried some basic stuff and it didn’t resolve so I logged a ticket. Within 2 hours an agent had emailed me to advise what they had done to resolve. My website was back up and working perfectly. Very happy customer.

I purchased a VPS hosting, regardless it has plenty of resources, it keeps returning unknown errors and timeouts. The best part, if you reach their support, ITS ALWAYS YOUR FAULT!!! but their service is always being cheap on resources. This has been my experience every time I've contacted Dreamhost support. I'm pleased and impressed.

My request involved migrating a full site including domain registration from my husbands US dreamhost hosting to my EU dreamhost hosting. Rather than handle the migration ourselves (which we could do) we asked Dreamhost to do the whole process for us.
The whole request from start to finish was completed within 24 hours although most of this was back and forth authorisation between ourselves and support. Once authorisation from both accounts were received everything was handled and without issue the site and domain is on my EU hosting. I would highly recommend the service (it does come with a small charge) to anyone. Takes the headache out of having to do it yourself and honestly what you get with a Dreamhost hosting package far outweighs other hosting platforms.
