Credit Mutuel will not accept a money transfer to a foreign (i.e. non french bank) bank account without a RIB ("Relevé d'Identité Bancaire"). This is ludicrous. RIBs are for french banks only. None... See more

unblocking account

Despite providing proof of identity and address we have had no help in unblocking our account.all emails and phone calls have been totally ignored.

I have in the passed had 100% customer service.

I now feel I am a nuisance.

I am selling my property. Made enquiries about closing my account. My house is being sold all through online and yet I have to go in person to a bank in France to close my account. I have made all arrangements to get to the branch I have been using since 2012 to make sure the account will be closed.

On viewing my account noticed something which I did not understand making enquiries was told something I don't understand with no explanation and yet they know I am in UK and apologise I do not speak french.

As of late I just feel more and more anxious of dealing with them as I feel I am more of a nuisance than a paying customer!

CREDIT MUTUEL

CREDIT MUTUEL - BE WARNED

We are an English couple who have lived in France for nearly twenty years under the umbrella of CIC/Credit Mutuel for our banking. We picked them because they have a good credit rating.

We have never been in debt, bounced a cheque or exceeded the spending limit on our bank cards. We have healthy saving accounts and our income is more than adequate.

Despite all of the above we each received a letter from Credit Mutuel giving us sixty days notice that all our accounts would be closed without any explanation as to the reason why and without any right of appeal. I discovered that French banks are entitled to do this if they so desire. The only stipulation is that they must give you sixty days notice.

I went to see our account manager to see if I could find out the reasoning behind the bank's decision. Either he lied to me or he was clueless but he was no help. He either could not or would not give me an explanation for Credit Mutuels actions. To add fuel to the fire we had bank charges deducted two weeks before our accounts were closed.

All of this told me that the level of customer service at CREDIT MUTUEL is close to ZERO.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Can't transfer money out of that bank

Credit Mutuel will not accept a money transfer to a foreign (i.e. non french bank) bank account without a RIB ("Relevé d'Identité Bancaire"). This is ludicrous. RIBs are for french banks only. None of the other banks in the world have a RIB, and Credit Mutuel will not accept any other transfer instructions (ABA...). This means you are out of luck if you need to move money out!

It has been now 2 weeks since my first…

It has been now 2 weeks since my first email sent to the crédit mutuel with a very simple question I would have thought.
I received within 24 hours an automatic (looks like reply) that an agent will get back to me ASAP.
As I mentioned 2 weeks and still no reply .
What a joke
I will never bank with those guys ever.

I highly appreciated my bank advisor…

I highly appreciated my bank advisor Madame SERHANE because she is always available to reply and give some advises when I am having a trouble at my bank account. She always try her best to help me as soon as she can. I would recommend her as a bank advisor. She's the BEST! ❤🥰

A shockingly bad

A shockingly bad, unprofessional, useless bank. I have been trying to close my account for months and unable to do so. This bank is run by menopausal and permanently premenstrual women of very ugly character who are vindictive and crazy.

Highly irresponsible!

Highly irresponsible!

I am trying to close my account and network payments for the past 2 months but the subscriptions. But still none is responsive. Lost 150 € with this situation. I picked this because my college asked me to. But never go for this company, they are useless

Worst company ever

Worst company ever.
They have a telephone service, but they cant provide good signal to their clients.
Customer service poor.

Further you go from Credit mutuel, the best you will be.

Worst bank ever! Avoid it!

WORST BANK EVER! No consideration for the costumers and no respect for people's time and lives. Due to my job I have been moving around quite a bit and dealed with banks in several countries but I never find something as bad as this one! They are totally incompetent, unable to solve even the smallest problem and they put zero efforts in helping you, even when they caused the problem!
They are unable to take their responsibility and even to do proper apology.
They say that the customer is the focus of their interest but they just lie more than the other banks.
I went three times to the agency to solve a problem that THEY caused and they did nothing to solve it: I've lost time, since I had to go during working hours, and money, since I had to transfer the money that I need to live on a foreign bank account and I have to contact the agency manager by myself because the employeé at the desk didn't consider to report the problem (obviously: was MY problem, not hers, so why bother?).
I had to send the same email twice to have and answer from the manager. The summary of the answer was "your problem". I replied that this is unacceptable as an answer and that I would have start looking for a new bank if they didn't go to solve the problem... and HE DIDN'T ANSWER ANYMORE!!!!! THAT'S CRAZY! AVOID THIS BANK!

Worst customer service!!!

Worst customer service i have mailed many times regarding my several issues in the transactions and none of them were replied by the bank officials even in an emergency situation.
Instead they send offere concerning for insurances and doesnt even reply to any queries. Worst bank!!!

Avoid Credit Mutuel (Vendee)

I share the concerns of the others:
1) I have now opened a Credit Agricole account as Credit Mutuel were unwilling to all me to change my mortgage arrangement despite the contract permitting this
2) after doing this they appeared motivated to renegotiate
3) they are not answering at emails even those sent through their own system/portal inc
a) please let me have your proposal
b) please help me set up a virement to Germany
c) can I have a simulation de decompte

I think they believe that if the ignore all of my requests I'll stay with them. Actually the last on, the simulation, I really need to allow me to finally leave - maybe this is their plan after all!!!

Long and short (and I have more examples than time to share) - chose a different bank - they wouldn't know customer service if it were to nibble on their derrieres

Worst bank.

I am a client of Credit mutuel. I am having problem now and need help. Even I mentioned to the consultant that this was urgent but no solutions were suggested.
I regret that I did not open another bank account for backup and trusted Credit mutuel.
I recommend not to use this bank.
