I signed up for Kicksta’s yearly plan…

I signed up for Kicksta’s yearly plan because I wanted a safer alternative to the people who buy fake followers for vanity. I thought this was a marketing tool or growth support service. Instead, I learned immediately after signing up that the whole thing relies on automated follow and unfollow actions run from your Instagram account. That isn’t clearly stated on the main page or checkout flow. It’s tucked away in help articles and sub-pages that a normal customer wouldn’t go out seeking with the way it's presented at face value.

I attempted to cancel within minutes and disconnected my Instagram right away. I never set targeting and never used the service, yet followers still started coming in - mostly low-quality, foreign, blank, or obviously inactive accounts. So something was activated on my account without my permission, and now I’m not just out $468, I’m worried about the impact on my account.

Trying to cancel was another issue. The cancel button didn’t actually cancel anything. It routed me into support, who told me they couldn’t cancel yearly plans and would “send it to billing.” I was promised a 24-hour reply. It took nearly six days. When billing finally responded, it was a template-style message that ignored everything I said and leaned on “merchant laws” in a way that felt more intimidating than helpful.

Their final offer was a 50 percent refund and the rest as non-refundable credits, which makes no sense for a service I canceled immediately and never used. Even something minimal like refunding 11 out of the 12 unused months would have been better than what they offered.

I’ve filed a dispute with my payment provider. And after seeing their BBB rating and other reviews here, it seems my experience isn’t unusual. The pattern in their responses speaks for itself.

We do want to clarify one important point from your review: no manual targeting or actions were ever set on your account. When you signed up, you were automatically placed into a default growth pod. This is the same safe starter pod that all new accounts enter before custom targeting is added. That’s why you saw a handful of followers come in even though you hadn’t configured anything yourself. It wasn’t unauthorized activity, and nothing risky or unsafe was done on your behalf.

Regarding the visibility of how Kicksta works, the engagement method is listed on our pricing page and plan comparison before checkout. That said, if it wasn’t as clear to you in that moment, we genuinely appreciate the feedback and we are already reviewing how we present this information so it’s easier for every new customer to understand up front.

As for your cancellation, yearly plans do require a manual review from billing, which is why support directed the request there. We agree that the wait time was longer than it should have been, and we’re working on tightening that process. Even though yearly plans fall under a non-refundable policy by our terms of service, our team still offered a 50 percent refund plus credits as an exception in hopes of meeting you halfway.

Good at first - then terrible!

Kicksta worked very well for about 30 days. We opted to use their targeted growth option so that our followers were more local and engaged (not bots). The way Kicksta works is by following/unfollowing as "interactions", but they suddenly stopped having any interactions for over 11 days in a row when I cancelled. I tried to get an explanation from them but they would not reply to my inquiries. They went from 50+ interactions per day to zero for 11 (and counting) days.

I used this tool to grow my Instagram account, but it led to my account being permanently deactivated by Instagram for violating their guidelines. I regret trusting it, as I wasn’t fully aware of how unsafe it was.

What disappointed me most was the company’s reaction when I informed them. Instead of offering any support or guidance to help me recover my account, they pushed me to keep paying for their service at a discounted price. This showed me they care more about making money than helping their customers.

While the tool may promise fast follower growth, it is not compliant with Instagram’s rules, and the consequences are severe. Losing my account has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

I had only used Kicksta for less than 2 months. Recently, they'd had been sending a lot of notifications that they'd have to pause services or update and that the service wouldn't be working for a few days here, and a day there. When that started, I began getting notifications from IG that they needed to verify my identity, and snapped photos of me to verify that I was human. And in the last week, IG had put at least 3 holds on my account, I'd appeal them and would be back. But the other day, I got a permanent ban with no opportunity for appeal. I reached out to Kicksta who claimed they have been getting a lot of emails lately (I bet!) and would get back to me. After 2 days, they just emailed me denying they had anything to do with my ban, and had the nerve to tell me to just log back into my IG because is a glitch that a lot of users are facing and that they'd "PAUSE" my payment for 7 days for the inconvenience. So they think I'm gonna pay for service on a page that doesn't exist because of THEM?!!! I'm not even going to get into the fact that when I had renewed for this month, I had put in a coupon code only for it to take my card number, charge me full price, and they claimed I didn't put in the code despite the fact that I didn't trust them and had taken a screenshot for proof.

Do yourself a favor, avoid these frauds. I will be reporting them to every agency that listens. For them to claim to be "safe" they're obviously misrepresenting their business and should not be allowed to operate.

DO NOT USE! I use the service on my account that I’ve had for three years and had built up to 8000 followers just to grow it a little bit more. Within three months of using it, my account was permanently deleted by Instagram. I wrote to them requesting a refund. It was the least they could do and they would not even give me a refund of the $147 that I had spent. I use that for my Amazon storefront, influencer and social cat and other streams of revenue I guess the jokes on me for trying to use something to grow my Social media, not organically, but they promoted themselves as a safe way to grow your Instagram and they are definitely not a safe way to grow your Instagram. Instagram picked up on it super quickly. I follow the rules. I did not follow or Unfollow anyone I did not logon from multiple sources. Whoever they had performing the growth was the one that caused my account to get deleted it was incredibly upsetting and they hold no accountability.

In response to their response: they are not sorry. I wrote them multiple times and they do not care and it was directly related to their automations, their attempt to blame this on instagram is absurd. Use at your own risk! Their attempt to tell me to reach out to them is just to look as though they care, they don’t. If they cared about making it right, they would have in our previous communications. I am now locked out of my account…

I am now locked out of my account because of what Kicksta does and where they are located. I sent them several emails. A few times someone answered, but when I told them they caused me to be locked out they stopped replying. On top of that on my home page, they eliminated the "Cancel Subscription" option and the LIVE chat option. They did this because they saw my emails and knew I wanted them to stop. I saw the cancel option, and did not do it right away. That was a HUGE mistake. I should have canceled it as soon as I saw that button. But now the button is GONE! They are located in Siberia!! I had NO idea where they were located until I saw the warning from IG. This is a HUGE red flag. When they logged in, IG logged me out. I was kind of okay with that, as long as IG allowed me to log back in. Which they did for a while. Then they blocked me. I do not know if I have just been suspended or they got rid of my account. I have not received any emails or warnings from them as to what has happened. I have sent 3 new emails to Kicksta one of them asking them to cancel my account immediately and get OUT of my account and never log back in again. But I am sure they cannot being they see my account is locked. It has taken me years to build that account, and now it could be gone. Do NOT use this company! I don't care HOW they say they build your account. They log in, whether you are logged in our not, which is a huge NO NO! And the origin of Siberia is also a HUGE NO NO! I am still battling to get back in. I am in limbo. This is infuriating. I can end this by simply changing my password. But I cannot do that because I cannot get into my account. If you choose a company to help build your account. Makes sure their home is in the US. Make sure they do not log in while you are logged in.

What you’re experiencing matches a recent Instagram security sweep that’s been affecting many users globally. Instagram has been logging people out and requesting new verification as part of a platform-wide cleanup of fake or suspicious profiles. This is unrelated to Kicksta’s automation. We've been working on your account for quite some time, and these issues started occurring just now.

The Cancel Subscription and Live Chat options are still active in every account. If you don’t see them, please try clearing your browser cache or using a different device. You can also change your proxy location anytime in Settings → Proxy to help with re-connection. There are 60 locations you can pick from, including the US.

To regain access quickly, we recommend using Instagram’s “Forgot Password” link or the Help Center form (“My account was deactivated”) for a manual review. Our support team is ready to guide you through these steps if needed.

Account got suspended with no reason!!!

2 months in using this, got some fake accounts followed, and some real ones, suddenly today I was suspended by Instagram saying that I am violating the community regulations, still under appeal and can not access my account, trying to contact the kicksta platform but got no reply after 30mins .......can someone explain to me?! If my account got suspended for good is anyone gonna be responsible for this?!

And update, my account did get disabled, still no solution for it .....

To clarify, our platform does not send fake followers. We rely only on organic interactions such as follows, unfollows, likes, and story views, always working within Instagram’s limits.

Recently, Instagram rolled out an update to its algorithm that has impacted a small number of users. While we’ve already adapted our system and no further issues have been reported since, some accounts were unfortunately flagged or suspended despite not intentionally breaking any rules. Ultimately, suspension decisions rest entirely with Instagram, and we don’t have the ability to overturn them.

Our support team has been in touch, and we’ll do our best to guide you through Instagram’s appeal process.

DO NOT USE

Got Kicksta and instead of “naturally and ethically” growing and promoting my page, they started following accounts on behalf of myself. I was flagged by instagram for using automation, so I immediately changed my password. I tried to cancel the trial, but they make you contact support. (What a joke) I emailed support but they probably will do nothing about it, so I went ahead and cancelled my credit card on file, so they can’t charge me. I do not recommend, it’s better and safer to stick to Meta’s tools.

Our system is designed to adapt to each account’s trust score, but in this instance, the activity pushed the limits of what Instagram considered normal for your profile at that time. As a result, Instagram issued the notification you saw.

It’s important to note that these notifications can happen even without using any growth tools. For example, if you follow too many accounts manually in a short period, Instagram may show the same message. It’s more of a precautionary reminder from Instagram’s algorithm than a strict violation or permanent flag.

Regarding your trial cancellation, our team processed your request within an hour of receiving your first message. There was really no need to cancel your credit card, but we understand the concern.

Been using Kicksta for a week and…

Been using Kicksta for a week and already seeing promising results. Unlike other services, I'm getting genuine followers who actually engage with my content - not bots or fake accounts.
The targeting feature works well for finding people in my niche, and their support team was helpful when I had questions about optimizing my settings. Growth has been steady and organic so far, with better engagement than I expected for just one week.
Definitely recommend if you want quality followers over quantity. Takes patience but the results are authentic and lasting.

Mixed thoughts

I've been using Kicksta for roughly a month now. I'm using the targeted method (because I don't want random followers) and it's working quite good.

The part that ain't working as it should is the like after follow functionality. It should represent 30% more growth by liking 1 to 3 posts of a person that followed you back. It should be the most recent posts.

What is happening is that my account started liking posts that are roughly 10 years old, portraying me a kind of stalker. The constant customer service switches are not helping resolving this issue, because I'm getting told different answers, providing NO solution.

We’ve double-checked, and you’re free to turn the feature back on. From the screenshots you provided to our support and the feedback we got from our developers, the feature worked exactly as designed. For example, @playthenoise (which followed you back) had its most recent post in December 2023, with the two before that in April 2020. The system liked those posts because they’re the most recent available. The same rule applied to every other follow-back you received.

At the moment, the feature can’t exclude certain timeframes or work selectively. It always engages with the latest posts available.

Our support team did their best to assist, but without input from our dev team, they can’t make changes or give advice regarding technical limitations like this.

We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the service overall, and we’d appreciate any additional feedback you might have.

This company is a complete scam

This company is a complete scam. They claim they offer things they don't. They lie about the reasons things don't work. I lost hundreds of followers and I was repeatedly demanding within a day for them to cancel and I have had to get my credit card and bank involved to dispute charges because they are very expensive. I had to threaten legal action to finally be able to get them to cancel and stop accessing my account. Let me be clear. I have had steady growth since the day I joined instagram and then suddenly lost over 600 followers and they tried to act like oh this is just a things that happens sometimes and it's out of our control. But somehow it lines up with the exact day that I got your service. I don't think so.

Everything looks great

Everything looks great, and the support service is excellent. Fast and useful.

The question, before writing a bad review, is give it a chance, have some patience and work with them. I see that the clue for having quality followers is set a good targeting. That takes time and good decisions. After doing that, all the followers I am getting are people of my niche.

Is important, as well, to understand how everything works, and they are helping a lot to do that.

I understand Kicksa as a really useful tool, but do not expect they do your job, meaning post quality content, build a community and communicate with them.

So far, it is working.

A recommendation once you read a bad review: read carefully their answer. I guess it is easy to see clear.

I trust them, and I will continue working with them. And I hope I can continue sharing my impressions.

I tried their free trial just to find out they promote their website with with services they don't even offer. I tried out a free trial and they are refusing to cancel it and keep telling me to wait a few days to see my account grow even though that's not what I want.
