Customer service is terrible, don't expect to be able to cancel easily
Having left previous review and been advised to submit all relevant proof of postage etc, I have done this and as per other reviewers, have had absolutely no response. The date for renewal of my tollboxes is now only days away. So frustrated at the unprofessional, lazy attitude of this company. I had returned my boxes in plenty of time to cancel the current contract, but with delivery unable to be made and lack of any intelligent communication from Tolltickets, it appears I have no other choice but to cancel my card that is logged with them. I am not going to be trapped into another year of contract with them. I can guarantee the response they provide will say they need to look into my case and submit info through their contact link. Guess what, been there, done that. Absolutely useless company. Take warning. DO NOT USE!!!

Avoid Tolltickets GmbH like the plague!
From the time of placing an order to returning the device, I had nothing but headaches. I live in Australia and intended to travel throughout France using a leased vehicle. I booked the vehicle then decided to purchase a Tollbox through Tolltickets GmbH. I believed it would be more time and cost effective to have the device delivered to our Car leasing company in France. The address I provided to Tolltickets was clear and unambiguous. Tolltickets decided to send the item through DHL, who then used La Poste in France instead of making the delivery themselves. The day after arrival in France, I went to collect the vehicle expecting the Tollbox to have been delivered, but it had not been received. After collecting the vehicle I then spent six hours trying to track down the Tollbox, which I finally managed to locate at a La Poste Mail Distribution Centre. Lesson number one: Ensure you allow plenty of time to have the Tollbox delivered to your home address.
On completion of our travel in France and returning to Australia, I then packaged up the Tollbox and mailed it back to Tolltickets GmbH using the exact address provided by the company. I posted it using Australia Post and paid extra for Insurance and tracking. The parcel was posted and I could immediately see the tracking. I continued to monitor the tracking and noticed that it was not delivered to the address on the consignment label but was awaiting Collection presumably by someone from Tolltickets. As the parcel had been still awaiting collection after five days, I decided to email Tolltickets informing them the parcel was awaiting collection. Some 4 days later Tolltickets replied suggesting I hadn’t used the correct postal address. As I had a photo of the consignment label clearly reflecting the correct address, I emailed them back only to receive a non-coherent response, which was to the effect they wanted more evidence that I had posted the item to them. By this time I was furious, as it appeared this was nothing more than a deliberate attempt to delay reimbursement of my €75 deposit. After sending them an email advising them of my concerns, they sent me a reply advising that until they receive the Tollbox they could not process my refund. I then responded and asked if I did reattempt to post the item back, whether they would also reimburse the first postage cost of A$27.30, which they responded a week later, stating they were not liable for the cost of non delivery of the Tollbox. The dilemma I have now is do I post it back to them again, only to go through the same issue and possibly lose another $A27.50 in the process? So €75 is about A$140, but if I spend another A$27.50, I will have outlaid A$55 to possibly get back a A$85 net refund. Not very happy at all: Second lesson: Don’t use Tolltickets GmbH under any circumstances.

This company is totally unbelievable. Clearly they can’t read or comprehend what I have conveyed to them. Tolltickets are trying to defer the problem away from themselves and lay blame against the German postal services and Customs. As I stated, the returned item was awaiting collection by Tolltickets, and on several occasions I notified them the parcel was awaiting collection. How plain and clear can one be?? It’s a nonsense that German Customs blocked the parcel and directed it be returned to me. Rather, the Postal Service decided to return the parcel to me, as Tolltickets failed to collect it within a reasonable timeframe.
What I don’t understand is how incompetent Tolltickets could possibly be, by ignoring my notifications that the parcel was awaiting collection. As I have previously stated, it is clear Tolltickets are using deliberate tactics in order to not provide the €75 refund.
As I have read from another customer, he attempted to return his Tollbox for a second time but still without success.
This is my warning to Tolltickets: If you don’t fix this issue within the next 5 business days I will be lodging a formal complaint through the respective German Consumer Affairs authorities. I suggest you re-read all the emails I have sent you, as I have provided documentary evidence to prove I mailed the Tollbox to the correct address and proof the item was tracked from Australia to Germany.

Great toll system. Poor CS.
The toll-tag service itself is great but customer service responses are very slow.
Taking out a new tag on an existing but dormant account is far from intuitive.

Very bad experience - I have had it with this company
This is the second review of this unserious company. In my first review, Tolltickets promised to look into my case if I submitted my concern via their messaging system. I submitted my complaints 13th of August and have yet to receive any response.
And if that was not enough, I just found out that Tolltickets have refused to receive the Tollbox I returned 18th of July. The postal tracking system states that the Tollbox went through customs but that Tollticket refused to receive it 26th of August 2025. Now it is on the way back to Norway. This is the second time this happens, so I will never try again. I have wasted EUR 50 for shipping this back to Tollticket.
It seems that this company want to trap people making it impossible to return anything in order to cancel the contract.
So my summary is:
1) Tollticket sent an unjust invoice in June 2025 claiming a yearly fee for the Tollbox which is not priced anywhere on their page.
2) I have reached out several times and complained here. Nothing happens.
3) I have returned the Tollbox twice, but Tollticket refuse to pick up resulting in Tollbox beeing returned to me.
My conclusion is:
1) This company is unprofessional and has a useless customer service which does not take their customers seriously.
2) This company send out invoices that are very late and can not be trusted. Scam?
3) This company refuse to accept returned Tollboxes resulting in continous yearly invoicing. Scam.
I will not pay any invoice and I will never again try to return the Tollbox as this company clearly do not pick-up. I have that in written.
I hope Tolltickets try to get the fake invoices through the norwegian legal system, because I will make counter this by making a report to norwegian police as soon as any claim are forwarded to me.

Really easy to use
Firstly - I would like to note that this completely legitimate way to sort your road / toll tax while passing through different countries. Im only noting this as it was my first round trip through Europe, and I had to check.
I used the mobile app, which is easy to use, and sort my road taxes through different countries. Definitely would use it again as so far haven't had any issues.
My advice to new users is to sort their car profile before the trip as it has a few bits / details, which are linked to what information is need for the EU countries toll/road tax system.
Appalling customer service & lack of response
20.8.25 This is my 3rd 1-star review, as I have an ongoing query with Tolltickets since 16.6.25 and using Trust Pilot seems to be the only effective way of getting a response from them. Following my previous review they emailed on 6.8.25 to apologise that an error had been made with the NINE YEAR INVOICE they had charged me for. They said, “The invoice has already been credited back and will soon be transferred to your registered payment method.” Nice to get the apology, but 9 working/business days later the money has still not been refunded. “Soon” is clearly a vague term. In an era of bank transfers and digital banking, I can’t understand why this would take so long. Great product, but very poor and disappointing customer service, borne out by the negative reviews of others on here, which follow a similar problem with poor responses.
21.8.25 FINALLY! The matter has been resolved. Apologies and refunds have been made by Tolltickets for their error. Thank you Trust Pilot as I really don’t believe it would have been resolved otherwise. Tolltickets clearly value their rating, but this is the only way I could get an effective response from them.

Be careful of hidden charges with zero notification of pending charges so you can cancel and return the boxes. I had two boxes not used for nearly two years surely a email asking if still needed before charging a credit card with £100 would be better for customers. Very poor experience with this company

I wrote last week to provide a review on the terrible service I have been receiving. No replies to enquiries relating to charges made against my account for a month and despite insisting that no more money be taken from my account until invoicing issues are resolved money was still taken. Last week I received a trust pilot response that apologised and said if I wrote again to the same email address I would get a reply. Well, 5 days later I still have no response!! Is this really the way to treat your customers? There has clearly been an error made by Toll tickets as they took the same amount of money twice on the same day and have supplied no invoices that support this. They can do this to anyone so all customers should be concerned.
Having complained about service I think it is only fair to say that the amount taken in error has now been refunded. So many thanks. The reality is that the Tolltickets product is very good and hopefully the the payment error is a one off..
