    I called Allianz for a quote for a family trip 2 years out. Since I already paid a deposit on our trip, the agent convinced me to buy a policy ASAP. I went out of town and by the time I had thought about it, I felt it was too soon to make that commitment, too late to cancel. FOMO prevailed and time passed us by.

    I paid for a protection plan to refund me my money back of something were to happen before making it to the music festival event and unfortunately something did happen involving a life emergency with my step daughter and I did not wish to share sensitive information of a minor.     Fully refunded festival tix

    I was sick going into a festival weekend. Went to the doctors and they put me on a bunch of meds and advised I rest for the next 3-5 days… I submitted the urgent care receipt and the doctors note/recommendations. A week later, Allianz had fully refunded both of my festival tickets. I’m glad I bought the purchase protection for those tix.

    The time it took to receive…

    The time it took to receive reimbursement was too long. I had 2 claims for the same event and after finally being paid for the first, I have yet to be paid for the second. Considering the claims were for the same event with same dates, it didn't make sense for the delay. I called to resolve the issue only for the rep on the phone to say we have to wait. I asked to speak to a different department to try solve this issue further, only to find that there was a clerical error made that said I was requesting way more money that I actually was. After finding the error made by Allianz I was told it would still take another 5 business days because my claim was under review. In my opinion, my claim should have been expedited and paid immediately. With todays technology, these astronomical wait times are unacceptable. I still have not been reimbursed.

    Luggage Delay Reimbursement

    First I had to upload the documents(baggage receipt) three times as requested by the customer service rep. I explained I only want to get paid for the luggage I paid as the airline did not deliver my luggage in 5 days. I do not have any receipts for items I purchased as I was on a multi- destination trip and was told that if that was the case, I would get reimbursed 70% of what was covered for luggage delay. Ultimately, I received an email denying my claim. I have no time to spend chasing $150. It’s ridiculous what you have your customers go through as if the experience of delayed and cancelled flights are not enough to get one frustrated.
