Kennesaw State University offers flexible, high-impact ways for employers to engage with students and alumni. Whether you're hiring for open roles or building brand awareness, our team is here to support your recruiting goals.

All recruiting activities begin in Handshake, where you can manage job postings and event requests. Some options may only appear after you've connected with our team—reach out if you don’t see what you’re looking for.

Recruiting Periods:
Spring: Late January – End of April
Summer: Mid May – Late July
Fall: Late August – Mid November

Key Guidelines for On-Campus Recruiting

These guidelines apply to all recruiting activities facilitated by the Department of Career Planning & Development:

Active Job Posting Required

Employers must have a current job or internship posting in Handshake before submitting a recruiting request.
Equal Opportunity Employers Only

KSU facilities may only be used by employers who comply with Equal Opportunity Employment standards.
Advance Notice Required

Submit requests at least 4 weeks in advance to allow time for space reservation and event promotion.
Scheduling Restrictions
Recruiting activities cannot be scheduled during:
- The first two weeks of the semester
- Student holidays or university closings
- The final two weeks of the semester
- Please review our Important Dates before submitting a request.
Compensation Transparency

If a position includes commission-only pay, base plus commission, or start-up costs to the employee, signage must clearly disclose this information during the event.
Professional Conduct

Students participating in interviews are expected to wear professional attire. Employers must limit promotion to recruiting opportunities only—product or service solicitation is not permitted.
Rescheduling

If you need to change your event date, a new request must be submitted with at least 4 weeks’ notice.

Information Tables

Host a table in a high-traffic campus area during peak hours (10 AM–2 PM) to casually connect with students. KSU provides one six-foot table and two chairs. Employers may reserve up to two tables per semester and may request specific locations based on availability.

You may request a specific location to meet your recruiting needs. Due to space constraints an employer may not recruit more than twice in one semester using the information table service. While staffing a table, employers are limited to promoting their recruiting opportunities at their table only. If you must reschedule your information table date for any reason, you must submit for another date and allow at least 3 weeks for confirmation. KSU reserves the right to change these requirements.

Maximum of 2 reservations per semester
Available Monday - Thursday
Employers must provide 2 alternate dates to host an information table, to enable successful scheduling
No solicitation of products or services is allowed.

Campus Information Sessions & Presentations

These one-hour sessions allow employers to share hiring processes and opportunities with students in a more formal setting. Sessions are typically held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays between 12–2 PM or 4–6 PM. Space is limited and offered at no cost.

Interviewing KSU Candidates

Employers can conduct interviews with students and alumni through several scheduling formats:

At Your Location / Virtual: Coordinate interviews directly with candidates.
Preselect Schedule: Review applications and select candidates; interviews are scheduled through Handshake.
Open Schedule: Qualified candidates can select interview slots immediately after applying.
Build Your Own / Room Only: Interview candidates identified through prior recruiting; employers manage scheduling.
