Pathetic customer service

Pathetic customer service. Now over a month since washing machine has been leaking. Due to have 3rd engineer out today and it was cancelled...I don't know what I am paying for as nothing is happening.

Unfortunately I can't give 0 star

I have a issue with my oven built in Hotpoint, oven was reach the temperature and after that went off, everything was starting at 13th November as today 10th December the issue with my oven still, as the engineer pretends every time a different excuse

3 missed appointment and every time different excuse.

1 st time no space for parking, outside of my property plenty space.

2nd time parking issues due the restrictions of parking, in 11 years that I moved in my property, this is the first time to ear something like that

3th time , today didn't show up because, I didn't pick his phone call, I had the phone in my hand all the time.

Absolutely rubbish, stay away from them

Third time I have had an engineer…

Third time I have had an engineer booked, third time they didn't show. I even saw the van race past the house and they then reported "an issue". The report that was read back to me from the last no shows, stated they had problems accessing the machine. Considering they didn't even show would have made accessing the machine impossible.
I don't trust them as a company and I'm sorry that the piece of garbage machine will become landfill and replaced with something more relable. A shame as I'd like to support British, but when you get this bad level of service I have to go elsewhere
I did have the D&G cover but have now cancelled that as it seems worthless if you can't ever get a service

Awful service

Awful service, ordered a washing machine from Argos, Hotpoint confirmed delivery date a week later, one hour into my delivery window I received a call stating that there were no appliances left in the warehouse - and there were no more units due for manufacture for 28 days!!!
No other options, no offer of compensation for time taken on leave or inconvenience, no offer of cancellation with retailer!!
Have spent the day on leave trying to cancel the order, get refunds and cancel warranty.

WILL NOW AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I had an appointment booked in today…

I had an appointment booked in today from 8 am to 11 pm. I was upstairs getting ready and just come out of the shower and came downstairs just before eight once in my front door to Find I’m sorry we couldn’t get you in Card from Hotpoint with a time when the engineer saying he arrived at 7:40 which wasn’t the time arranged on the email telling me to be ready from eight I had a problem the year before with Hotpoint and they had an old number for me. I changed that number last year or so I thought because the Agent I spoke to you today said they had a different number for me an old number because I should have had that text message three hours before the appointment explaining that my appointment would be from 7:15 in the morning last year I had to book 2 days off work because of a problem with the washer dryer and this year I booked the only day off that I’ve got left and the engineer cannot attend another appointment today. I feel letdown by Hotpoint and Domestic general

Apalling customer service

Apalling customer service. They dont answer Whatassp or messenger messages. Call centre 'cant take calls as they are so busy'. Booked and paid for repair depsite machine being just over a year old. And having had it repaired 3 weeks after delivery. Engineer stated a manufacturer fault. A screw placed on the drum where the belt sits causing it to snap. Their solution, to put duct tape over the screw!!! So here I am year later having to pay for an engineeer and Hotpoint do not have the decency to even advise on an ETA.
Having spent 1hr 45 on the phone whenni finally got through i was sent from pillar to post. Put on hold without being told. Messed around to be told someone had cancelled the engineer. No answer as to who or why. Advised that it is a known manufacturer issue but as the dryer is out of warranty(a year old) i wouldnt get an exchange. So im basically paying £100 to have someone put some duct tape over a poorly placed screw. I will never buy Hotpoint ever again. And i will be contacting trading standards.

i have now been trying to get through…

i have now been trying to get through tp hotpoint cooker repairs for 4 days paid the insurance through currys know how they cant even get through to them no t worth the paper it written on im fuming no ccoker over christmas unless i buy another one will nevver ever buy hotpoint again all the money ive spent on insurance just totally give up avoid them

Very poor customer service contact options

When calling the contact number you get the message “We are very sorry we cannot answer your call at this time “

You are offered to use their digital service to speak to someone fast

It ain’t fast

Browser based one gets transferred to an adviser and never answered

What’s app gets answered after 50 minutes “ how can I help “ after advising how they could help no answer

Pretty rubbish

If I could give 0 stars I would. Following from previous complaint. Had a cooker delivered July been un able to use top oven due to broken part which meant couldn’t turn the gas off. Had to turn the pin with another tool to make it safe. I’ve phoned so many times 2 members of staff assured me they had ordered the part nothing turned up the 3rd said the first two hadn’t ordered it so re ordered it, nothing came 4th person said last person ordered the wrong one so was cancelled and correct one ordered for the wrong part to turn up! Been trying to get through for the past 2 hours. Call service terrible and don’t recognise buttons being pressed puts you through and no one an available to take call and on hold for 15-20 mins then cuts off. Tried messaging service and is a robot. I’m ready to send the cooker back it’s so infuriating it’s nearly Christmas and do not have a working cooker still 🤬

I’m looking into returning the item and speaking to bank about getting money back had enough of this now

What a shocking company!!!

What a shocking company!!!! Do not buy anything from Hotpoint. Had an insurance with D&G, the engineers visited at least 6 times and never resolved the issue. In fact they sent a letter stating that they would not send any engineers because we had not listened to their advice......this mainly being that the Kitchen was too cold for the Tumble Drier!!!! (For those that are interested I do not live in an igloo or in Siberia). Fortunately, D&G sent an independent engineer who confirmed that the Tumble Drier is not working and the Heat Pump needs replacing! Hotpoint engineers were not able to diagnose this problem, even after we moved the drier into a room with a Wood burner! To make things worse when I tried to contact Hotpoint and explain the findings from the independent engineer, they cut off the chat and did not want to resolve this. Beko/Hotpoint are an absolute shocking company! Absolutely appalling service with engineers who couldn't even diagnose the basics!!! You have been warned!

Confused

I had an issue with a Hotpoint dishwasher, at only the second attempt to use it. I thought there must be a simple solution but after not being able to talk to anyone I tried other suggested methods (non human).
I was directed to either an AI fix or a YouTube fix, both of which were for a totally different problem.
Eventually I found a number which allowed me to speak to Domestic and General. An appointment with an engineer was arranged, a week later.
It turned out that it was, indeed, a simple fix, I just needed to speak to a person.
The repair man was very helpful.
The instructions provided with the dishwasher were, at best, scant.
I'm still confused as to why the machine had a ten year warranty and yet I still ended up having to pay a monthly insurance premium.

Very rude

Very rude, don't seem to want to be helpful, my engineer didn't turn up and just put on the call that we weren't in, also getting in touch with support is very difficult as they don't answer

Needed to speak to someone to confirm refund on a cancelled engineer callout. Call centre telephone number wouldn't allow me to hold to speak to someone and terminated the call. The Website live chat also didn't connect to a real person. They only responded to my query using Whatsapp. It took 2 days to get an answer but they did eventually respond. Refund pending!

Dog shit

Dog shit. First, they ordered the wrong drum. Then, they kept pushing our appointment back. Our washing machine is not in working condition for over a month. What is this nonsense?

Really poor customer service. Online system creates problems and has not be properly user tested. Avoid any repairs with this company and look for an appliance that has better support.

Beggars belief

Today I had a delivery booked from Hotpoint.

The driver refused to drive into our street as he said it was “dangerous”. This because there is a short slope. I’ve taken photos of the slope but can’t seem to upload here. But it’s not unusual in any way. For context lorries drive into this street all the time, and in the last few weeks huge removal lorries have easily done so. The weather was lovely - no rain or ice that might have affected driving. The driver was aggressive to both my partner and I when we queried this. He told us he wasn’t going to deliver and we’d have to rebook.

This was a two person team. Fortunately the fitter - a Hotpoint employee - helped my partner wheel the machine down the hill, lift it and fit it. Had I been alone in the house this would not have been an option: I haven’t the necessary strength to help lift into the house. The driver refused to help “in case he slipped”, and citing health and safety. There are 11 houses in the street with residents including young families and pensioners. To my knowledge no one has ever slipped and fallen because of this little slope, whether pushing prams up and down or riding bicycles or any other normal things you do in a normal street layout.

Throughout the driver whose job was to help the fitter refused to leave the cab. When I tried to speak to him he slammed the door in my face and then started taking photos of me. He was aggressive and intimidating and used sexiest language.

The Hotpoint engineer was excellent. The driver, who I understand was from an agency, was lazy, aggressive, and given that he couldn’t drive down a short slope incompetent too. Hotpoint you have a duty of care to your own employees not to subject them to this. The poor engineer likely does two jobs all day long because of this bloke.

And if you don’t care about employees do bear in mind this would be a 5 star review but for the behaviour of this driver. Also maybe check how many times your drivers force rebooking unnecessarily. This guy is costing you money - which I assume you pass on to customers.

ONCE AGAIN HOTPOINT'S RUBBISH SERVICE ,INPOSSIBLE TO SPEAK TO CUSTOMER ,AFTER 2 REPAIR DATES THE FIRST ONE ENGINEER SAID THE COULD'NTFIND THE ADDRESS SAID THE PHONED 3 TIMES (LIE) 2ND DATE WEEK LATER ENGINEER CANCELED CALL ,3RD DATE FOR A WEEK LATER WAS CANCELED ,HAVING TO WHAT 5WEEKS FROM WHEN THE PROBLEM WAS REPORTED IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.LAST TIME I WILL BUY ANY HOTPOINT PRODUCTS.

Worst company ever I have got my…

Worst company ever I have got my washing machine broken down and they sent an engineer he is done nothing washing machine still messed up and now it’s been 10 days they are not answering
I have got little kids and it’s winter and have got no clothes left for them
Save your self the headache and avoid them at all costs

Hotpoint.
Stay well clear of them. It’s as simple as that.

If you want delivery times that pass without being contacted , poor customer services and generally a horrible stressful crappy experience, then order a Hotpoint product.

If you don’t want hassle , trouble , stress and failure to turn up whey they say , then order from elsewhere

HOTPOINT aren’t a nice experience

Poor communication

The engineer who came to repair our cooker was very good and fixed it quickly. However, the communication to arrange the repair was extremely poor. I provided the model number firstly when I registered the warranty, then over the phone to both Hotpoint and Domestic & General when requesting the repair. Despite having clearly stated that it was an electric cooker I was sent an appointment for a gas cooker repair. This then had to be cancelled and rebooked, when I had to provide the model number for the fourth time. Having finally got the correct engineer booked I was then sent a text message asking me again for the model number! The systems are clearly not joined up and this wasted a lot of my time unnecessarily.
