Excellent telephone agent, and Engineer
The Telephone agent, named Dory, was really excellent ! He was very friendly, and was able to resolve everything - in the past I have a world of problems with my accounts trying to get things sorted out, but not this time as Dory was excellent, and was able to sort out everything and arranged a repair the next day. The engineer, Alexander, arrived very promptly, already had the correct parts and was able to fix it quickly, so that the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE - booking and repair - was FULLY RESOLVED in under 24 hours !! This was truly superb, and very different from my previous experiences, so I thank both Dory and Alexander from the bottom of my heart, it was excellent all round, many thanks.

Horrendous Service!
Horrendous Service!! I ordered a washing machine and paid for installation and removal of the old washing machine. *** please be aware they do not send electricians *** driver come with new washing machine. Wouldn't touch the old washing machine as it was wired to a circut breaker. Caused a leaked all over the kitchen floor as he couldnt turn mains tap off. He walked out the door and left it along with the old machine. So I paid for 2 services that they aren't prepared to do. My brother had to leave work to sort the leak. He pulled onto the driveway and asked the driver for help. He said he couldnt, that he had other deliveries to do. I had to go and make a phone call to hotpoint where the lady on the phone couldnt of cared less either. She just kept repeating "we don't send electricians" (which is fair enough.)Please make that clearer when paying for an "installation service" absolutely no acknowledgement of my complaint on the phone. Installation service is a driver who is only capable of plugging in a plug. I could do that myself... Will not use them again and certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Will buy from a local store where there is an element of customer service from now on.

Thought I would write a review on WasherDryer Model Number BIWDHG961485. Moved to new home where no room for standalone tumble dryer so bought this model . Have had it for 3 months now . As a washing machine first rate. The Drying aspect/feature though is a waste of time . Clothes extremely damp after the 4hrs plus wash/dry cycle. Even after using the “dry only” function - waste of time .

Yet again another repair to the washing machine…. Will not and cannot recommend hotpoint washing machine
By way of an update the same fault has occurred again and I am struggling to make contact to rearrange a repair. My WhatsApp message has been ignored and the online chat is not happening

LOOK NICE BUT DON'T WORK
Moved into a new build house at the end of October and the kitchen came with a brand new Hotpoint oven. First time I tried it I could tell the temperature was way off. Used a really good thermometer and found it was at least 10 degrees out on Forced Air and about 30 degrees out on Conventional. Called Hotpoint and they sent someone out. He confirmed the thermostat was broken and ordered a new oven to replace it. New one came about 10 days or so later, very nice and they had upgraded us to the slightly better model as the one we had wasn't in stock. Guy came and fitted it without fuss. However, the first time I cooked a Sunday roast with the meat thermometer, the temperature was still off. Again I switched to conventional and set the oven to 140. After about 3 hours it had barely reached 128 and for most of that time it was struggling to get above 120. I tried to contact their "364 days...Always on call" customer service, but there was no one there and I kept getting directed to "look it up online for yourself" . They do deserve the one star because the guys that came round to repair and deliver the product were great, no issues at all. But at the end of the day, you dont buy an oven for the great delivery and repair. The one thing an oven needs to do is get hot and maintain a certain temperature. Clearly Hotpoint ovens are not capable of doing this.

I ordered a washing machine and a dishwasher from Hotpoint during the Black Friday sale, with delivery scheduled for the 3rd. I was then contacted by the courier who said the delivery would be delayed until Saturday due to sickness. Inconvenient, but understandable… except Saturday came and went with no delivery.
When I called on Monday, I was told that the delivery “was never arranged” in the first place even though they claim all calls are recorded. To make matters worse, the first advisor I spoke to was very rude and actually disconnected the call. The second advisor wasn’t apologetic at all and simply said they would “have to arrange a delivery,” at which point the dishwasher I originally ordered was no longer available, meaning I now have to wait even longer.
This is absolutely not how customers should be treated. The lack of communication, the unprofessional behaviour, and the poor customer service are unacceptable. I would avoid Hotpoint at all costs, the worst customer service I have ever received!!!

We had to get our microwave oven replaced after years of great use. As it was insured with D&G all we had to do was pick replacement and pay for installation. Our old one was Hotpoint so we went for another Hotpoint , we saw the measurements and they were almost the exact same so new fitting wouldn't be a problem.
Hotpoint delivery team came took old one out slotted new one, all was done in minutes. Cost £102, a bit steep.
The new one works great and is reasonably easy to use, although the user guide is not a great benefit. it's more try and play around with it.
The only real down side about the machine is seeing the touch screen symbols. If they were in white it would be a lot easier or if clear with a backup LED behind them it would be perfect. That is only reason I give it 4 stars.

Bought the Hotpoint ActiveCare NM11 948 WC A UK (9 kg, 1400 rpm, Model 869991679600) for £320 directly from the official Hotpoint VIP website on 24 June 2025.
My previous Hotpoint machine (bought 2022) was taken away the same day because it repeatedly failed to drain and showed F05 – exactly the same fault.
I genuinely thought “new inverter technology” and A-20% rating meant this one would be reliable.
I was wrong. In just six months this brand-new £320 machine has now broken down THREE TIMES with the identical draining problem:
First time – stopped mid-cycle, door locked, 20 litres of water inside. Auto-restarted after 3 days.
Second time – same fault. Booked engineer; machine magically restarted the day before the visit → repair cancelled.
Third time (right now) – clothes trapped, door locked, half-full of water. Forcing it open will flood my kitchen.
Every failure wastes hours of my day, ruins clothes, uses unnecessary electricity and completely throws my family’s routine into chaos. The intermittent fault also means I’m terrified of the £140 engineer call-out charge if it “works” when someone finally comes.
Hotpoint, how can you sell a brand-new premium washing machine that fails with the exact same fault as the old one I replaced?
I have zero confidence in this machine and, frankly, in the entire Hotpoint brand.
Avoid Hotpoint ActiveCare machines – beautiful on paper, useless in real life.

I will never buy a hotpoint again. We have had problems with our washerdryer from day 1 we have had the repair people out and they were not very good. They either never seem to have the correct part first time or seem unwilling or unable to fix the problem. They are useless
