Unsafe Product and Legal Action in Progress
I purchased two sets (4 chairs total) of the CARMODY Accent Chair from Beliani. Shortly after assembly, top part of the chair broke while I was sitting on it. As a pregnant woman, I lost my balance and almost fell. This was extremely dangerous for both me and my baby.
I immediately reported this serious safety issue, shared all evidence (photos and invoice), and requested a refund. Despite several follow-ups over more than two weeks, Beliani has failed to provide a proper resolution. I am still left with 4 unusable chairs in my living room.
This is not just about poor quality furniture, but about a serious safety hazard. Beliani has shown no urgency in addressing the matter. Still no response from them. Therefore, I will initiate the legal process through the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) and will also escalate the case with the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).
Consumers should be aware that Beliani not only sells unsafe and defective products; but also fails to provide a fair and timely resolution when serious risks are involved.
I strongly advise others to reconsider before purchasing from this company.

I initially had concerns about my order (#12761856) because delivery took longer than expected — the product page stated 3 working days, but I only received tracking updates saying it was still abroad. That caused me some frustration as I was relying on fast delivery.
That said, the item did arrive with just a minor delay, and the company reached out to make things right by offering me a discount for the inconvenience. I appreciate their effort to resolve the issue, and the product itself arrived in good condition. Overall, while the delivery time wasn’t quite as advertised, the customer service afterwards was attentive and helped improve my experience.

Failed Delivery Through GLS
I am very disappointed with my experience ordering from Beliani.
On 14 August 2025, my carpet order was delivered through GLS. I had clearly requested that the parcels be handed over to a neighbour, since I was at work and could not be at home. This instruction was completely ignored. Instead of ringing the neighbour’s bell, the courier left the packages unattended at the main entrance of the building, where anyone could access them.
To make matters worse, there was no phone call or direct contact number provided, so I had no way of reaching the courier when the problem occurred. Later, when my neighbour went downstairs, the largest and most valuable package—the carpet—was already missing.
This was an expensive purchase for me, and losing it due to such negligence has caused not only financial loss but also a lot of stress and wasted time. I chose Beliani with the expectation of safe and reliable delivery, but instead my order was mishandled and stolen.
Beliani needs to take greater responsibility for the delivery services they use. Ignoring customer delivery instructions and leaving valuable items unattended is unacceptable. At this point, I cannot recommend ordering from Beliani.

I ordered two Lemvig armchairs and two Lemvig ottomans from Beliani on June 16, 2025, including paid assembly service. The products were delivered and assembled on June 24, 2025. As part of Beliani’s standard procedure, the assembly team removed all original packaging after setup.
On July 10, 2025, I submitted a return request via their website. Beliani advertises a 365-day return policy, and their own published conditions clearly state:
“For customers who did not keep the original packaging, return costs must be covered and appropriate packaging provided.”
Despite following these rules, on July 11, 2025, I was contacted by their service team and told my return was refused because I no longer had the original packaging. I was even told I should have informed the delivery team at the time of delivery if I intended to return the items—something never mentioned on their website or during the purchase process.
Beyond the misleading return policy, I must also say the product quality is disappointing. The ottomans and armchairs look good on the outside but are made from cheap materials inside. Definitely not what you would expect from what’s marketed as premium furniture.
Beliani’s policies are contradictory, and the product quality does not justify the hassle. I strongly advise caution before buying from them.
Poor service and faulty items been delivered
I bought a rocking chair at Belliani.nl.
the chair was delivered without the legs and screws. When I asked for a solution, the customer service told me that would take 2 weeks to send me missing pieces. This doesn't make any sense since the the item is available at the website to be delivered immediately.

Misleading on the delivery
I ordered a product that was supposed to be delivered to me in five business days. It’s been seven now and I still no news no date nothing that indicate that will receive ever what I order.

This company consistently put up the prices of some items just before the sales period so that they can claim that they are giving you a discount.
I was eyeing a lamp on their website (saw it originally on BOL) for quite some time so I knew that the normal price was €79.99. Black Friday week 2024 anrrived and I checked to see if that lamp was on sale. It was!
At €79.99!! The page claimed that the lamp’s original price was €128. It was not!
I contacted them on Facebook and they stated that they absolutely do not do this.
BTW, after Black Friday, the price went back to be €79.99 as usual.
Now, after seeing an ad on another social media about Beliani having winter sales, out of curiosity I checked that lamp.
Same thing! Claiming that the original price was €128 and they are “offering” 38% discount and you can have that lamp for the reduced price (not) of €79.99.
Beware of this company.
Misleading advertising on the website - stay away
I bought a bed from Beliani where on the website it said the delivery will be between 4-7 days. However, I had to wait over 3 weeks to receive my order because it was damaged before delivery. Followed up several times and had the worst customer service experience. Spoke to one customer service person who was shockingly yelling at someone in the background while she was on the phone with me. I asked for an indication of when to expect my order and she could not only give me a response, but also told me off on the phone. Each time I called, it was a different response from each customer service person - very misaligned.
After weeks of following up, I received my order yesterday. However, the post purchase experience of poor customer service and the very extended delay in delivery resulted in this negative review. Would not recommend Beliani to anyone.
Perfect shopping experience
Perfect shopping experience. We bought a bed from the online store and everything went smooth. Lower prices then competitors, very good quality products and quick delivery.
Not worth your money!
Ordered a bed from their website that 1. had missing holes to assemble the bed and 2. was an incredibly tedious process to build it. Not only has it arrived faulty, but it took over 3 weeks for it to be delivered.
On top of that whole ordeal, customer service is criminally bad and slow. Many emails were sent and two phone calls were made. Despite my email clearly stating that I did not want spare parts to be sent to me as I've already ordered an IKEA bed, they proceeded to send me those parts, completely glossing over the fact that I said I would rather a refund. After I returned the items, they offered to return €50 in cash (27% of what I paid for!) or €79 store credit, which was ridiculous considering that 1. the faulty parts and 2. them sending new parts, was all their mistake. After a bunch of emails after, I have been informed that I will receive the full refund back. Granted, I'm yet to receive it and I do hope that it's the full amount, but I kinda have my doubts.
Don't waste your money here - please just go to IKEA where they're more considerate of their items and your money :/
