DHL Express – a disgrace that failed a children’s charity
DHL Express has failed me for the third time, and this one is unforgivable.
A photographic print (tracking 9027600750) was due for next-day delivery for a children’s charity auction. It reached Liverpool by 6am—then DHL inexplicably sent it 150 miles the wrong way to Bristol. The auction is now over, the charity lost an item, and my reputation as a donor was damaged.
This isn’t a one-off. DHL has previously lost perishable goods and delivered days late. Their “Express” service is nothing but a marketing scam—slow, unreliable, and careless.

Great delivery in perfect condition. It would be good if you could give a day and timeslot for delivery though.

Had notification that parcel was due to arrive at between 12.15 and 1.15 on a day my business was closed. No details of what the parcel was or who it was from and as I was expecting a really expensive and fragile delivery I made a special trip. Got there at 11am. I noticed at 12.08 that the parcel had been delivered at 11.11. The parcel had been left on the opposite side of the yard - to the wrong premises over an hour earlier than estimated when I was here all along! To cap it all it was a tiny item worth less than £10 - if you had given more details I wouldn't have made the trip. 60120218016832

Terrible! Drivers don’t show up, they just select unsuccessful attempt for the delivery! You guys are such a waste of time

Safe and timely delivery with easy watsapp communication

The goods delivered were perishable. It was meat. Not only were they delivered a day late, meaning they spent the night in a warehouse, the delivery driver left them outside, on the letter box, exposed to the elements AND it was raining! I had done the courtesy of leaving the gate wide open so that the driver would bring them to the door. The email you sent at 18:45 shows the perishables were delivered at 10:30am and I saw the box, quite by chance, at 12:30pm so the meat was outside for 2 hours at least. Had i not needed to go outside to my vehicle to get my spectacles then the box would have been sitting outside in the rain all day. The box was wet and the iced packaging had thawed so the box was wet from the rain on the outside and the thawed ice on the inside. To say i am disappointed at the shoddy service is a huge understatement! Such careless handling and shoddy delivery. I can only hope the goods have not spoilt. 0/10 for service. I've been a DHL customer all my life and this experience has really angered and disappointed me.

We are really pleased with our delivery. It came on time and day as stated. Communication was good throughout.

I requested the delivery be left in safe place ie out building and it has been left at front door. Why give the option then completely ignore request

Dreadful and customer services impossible to contact. Followed the online tracking. They didn’t even come up our road or attempt to find our house. They took parcel straight to a parcel drop off, saying we weren’t in, when we were. Sent in online complaint to follow up and got auto reply saying they couldn’t help.

The delivery was on the dot of time.
The driver was very courteous and friendly. He delivered without fuss and knew exactly what was needed to complete the delivery. Very happy with the parcel and contents.
DHL delivery driver was efficient and provided a good service.

This is difficult: today's delivery was brilliant - a very friendly driver who turned up right at the start of the time estimate and carefully handed me my parcel, so he deserved 5 stars. But another driver had claimed to try delivery the day before, despite nobody ringing my doorbell all day, and two weeks ago another driver left a package by the bins at a property in a different street! It disappeared before I could look for it, but officially I had signed for it!

What an absolutely disgraceful experience — my phone was scheduled for delivery today between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., yet the driver never showed up. I personally saw the DHL van pass by my building twice during the day but never stop to make the delivery. DHL UK should be ashamed of providing such an appalling level of service.SHAME ON DHL UK
