Update | New Experience Review
Update: 8/1/2025
I want to take the time to update my review. After countless months, Berry Street worked very hard to resolve the explanation of benefits with my insurance company! For that I am changing my experience! Thank you Berry Street!
_____________________________________________________________
While I absolutely love working with my dietician, Leann P.—she’s knowledgeable, kind, and truly makes each session meaningful—I was incredibly disappointed to receive a surprise $300 bill from my insurance after Berry Street confirmed my BCBS policy covered the service. My first appointment was on 5/1/2025, and had I been informed about the coverage issue sooner, I would have canceled my upcoming 5/14 session. Now, I’m facing a second $300 bill, totaling $600 out of pocket.
It’s frustrating and disheartening, especially when the marketing strongly promotes insurance acceptance, which does not reflect the actual billing experience. I’ve noticed similar complaints from other patients, which makes this even more concerning. Clear, upfront communication would have made all the difference.
Please be aware of this before scheduling. I’m still awaiting a response from Berry Street regarding this matter.

Anett is amazing!
I began meeting with Anett for about two weeks and she is amazing. She is so knowledgeable and has been teaching me new recipes and habits to help with my gluten and dairy free new lifestyle. I would highly recommend her!
Berry Street Scams you into Paying for it (despite it advertised as free)
They checked my insurance to see if it was covered and they said "We’ve connected with your insurance and can confirm that you’re covered for Unlimited visits with ******* at $0 out-of-pocket. We don’t need any additional information from you, so you’re set for your upcoming appointment."
Then I receive a $300 bill that it isn't covered.

Jami at Berry Street - great experience!
Jami Zimmerman is an excellent nutritionist. She's encouraging, realistic and has helped me take a sustainable approach to eating healthy (and being able to eat "treats" in moderation). Jami provides on the spot feedback on my daily meals and sends me helpful follow up materials to reinforce what we discussed during our session.

ABSOLUTELY horrible
ABSOLUTELY horrible. All I can say is that if you:
1. want unrealistic meeting expectations
2. Disrespectful interactions
3. Argumentative nutritionists with an attitude
4. and Sanctimonious insults,
THIS is your place! Ask for Emily. She's the peak fit of the above description.

Accountability at its Finest!
I have enjoyed meeting with my nutritionist, Anett Kovacs! She listens and doesn’t judge! This is my first time working with a nutritionist, so I was both apprehensive and had high expectations. I’m happy to say this has been a wonderful experience. Anett patiently listens to my concerns, reviews my journal, and offers great suggestions on how I can improve in the areas of greatest concern. Having her as an accountability partner has really helped and pushed me in getting rid of a major bad habit and increasing my confidence to continue working towards a better me! Hands down, one of the best decisions I’ve made.

Superb virtual dieticians!!! Look no further.
When I searched for dieticians, vegan doctors, and naturopathy on google I wasn’t looking for a remote/virtual option as I felt a local professionaly would be a better choice so that I could really connect with someone in person rather than remote. Boy was I mistaken. I always felt rushed with doctors, but not with my Berry street Dietician Elizabeth W. She is amazing and doesn’t mind if we go over our session time. I was skeptical about BerryStreet, but my insurance actually gave me a different dietician’s name through them as a shortlist for finding a professional/Dr that meets my needs I listed above. I wasn’t sure about the authenticity/legitimacy and expertise an online dietician website would offer me, but I am so glad I gave it a shot. It was a no brainer as my ployer provided medical healthcare plan covers the visits at $0 out of pocket cost to me. I couldn’t believe it! Even my insurance thought I would be charged when I first called, but Berry Street confirme multiple times that it would be $0 out of pocket for me and it has been! I meet every week and have already taken my own blood test to check iron store levels which turned out to be an issue. I am now supplementing vitamins and minerals for a vegan diet with the help and guidance of my dietician and I feel better in the first few days. I also have had my diet adjusted to get more protein and calories as I was fairly insufficient in both and also to get vitamins and minerals naturally from food instead of having to supplement. I’m already off the iron supplement and 1 other I ordered that wasn’t needed because it’s easy to get through food. And a 3rd supplement I’ve reduced frequency from daily to weekly as my new diet (really just some adjustments, not too major) that I created with my dietician has shown that I am not sufficient in that vitamin. I feel so much more confident having an expert in my corner that can answer all my questions, review my bloodwork (even past bloodwork I took under different doctors), and encourage me to make diet changes to feel better. I was having frequent episodes of unwellness and chronic fatigue for many years that has since vanished! I was ready to pay for relief and I never knew how important food is and how helpful a dietician can be to improving my health and life! Luckily, it costs me nothing thanks to my insurance, but regardless, it’s worth every penny. Ask your insurance what they cover and what your expense would be and get started asap! Don’t delay as our health is the most important thing in life. With out it, we have nothing. I also really like the berry street search and filter for dieticians/professionals and it led me to find an exceptional, passionate, and super competent dietician that in just a few weeks has helped me get my life back on track! I ask her anything and everything and she although she usually knows the answer off the top of her head, she confirms in real time and later follows up with me by sending articles to read on the topic or pictorial documents that are super easy to read and reference. I feel so fortunate to have access to my dietician and for finding berry street. There are no negatives to report and it’s definitely not a scam nor is this a fake or paid review. You can also change your dietician whenever you want if things aren’t working out. I may consider doing that one day just to see how my current dietician compares and to keep things fresh with new insights. Good luck on your health journey! My berry street dietician has helped me to gain weight in the gym (personal goal of mine that I was plateaued/stuck with), put an end to my chronic fatigue, built my confidence when it comes to diet, nutrition, and general food & body knowledge, and likely improved my immune system (time will tell). I am forever grateful!!!

Great Session!
I had the very best session with Emily. She was so down to earth, relatable, and professional! She gave a lot of great insight and asked questions to truly uncover my specific needs. I can wait to meet with her again. My focus for the next two weeks is to commit to "The Plate Method" ensuring I eat 30g of protein with each meal and 7g+ of fiber.
