Utterly awful

One star is absolutely overrated

I raised an incident to O2 (Spain) for not receiving calls, This happened while I was abroad and had been receiving calls beforehand. I was on job interviews when this happened, very critical time. It's two weeks now and today they closed the incident case as resolved while I constantly communicated that I am not receiving any calls yet and at least you can do a test call. It's a nightmare. The customer service is more like not existing at all.

Don't use O2

Please, don't use O2.
It's been the worst telephone company I've ever used. The costumer services are real people, true, but they are instructed not to lell you the truth, but tell you what's best for them. They LIE.

I am totally blown away.

I am blown away. First, I actually wasn't sure whether I was going to select o2 or DIGI. The previous tenant of the apartment had DIGI, and I honestly almost just decided to go with them for simple ease of use. However, a friend of mine is using o2 and likes them, and they seemed to have a good reputation for customer service online.

I sign up for mobile and fibre online at 15:04. I select an activation date of the following day, which already I thought was amazing. About 30 minutes after I sign up, I get a call from someone asking if I am at home today and whether I'll be around at 17:00. I say absolutely - that would be great. At roughly 16:10, the technician calls and asks if he can show up early. He arrives and no joke, I was activated with blazing fast internet and totally setup by 16:30. Literally, in an hour and a half after signing up online, they had come to my apartment, setup my internet, and finished. I am completely blown away. The fibre comes through the Movistar network, so if you have a Movistar hookup in your apartment like I do, it should be a piece of cake.

My understanding is that their mobile network is shared with Movistar as well, which I hear is fairly reliable. I'm currently with Vodafone Spain and really just unhappy with the spotty service, so I'm hoping o2 is better. If you never see this review updated, assume everything is as amazing as what I just experienced. If I end up having any problems, I'll update the review.

This guys will never refund ! Customer service is the worst!

This guys will never pay me the promised refund. The decision for the refund was made in November, but money never came since. They don't have proper customer service, just the typical reply on WhastApp and by email: "Sorry, there was a problem with payment department. The payment has been made, please wait for it to arrive within 5 to10 days." That happened 7 times during 3 months of complaints!! And to no avail!

I just want to activate the data for my Apple watch. What a nightmare, terrible customer support. It has been more than 1 month and I am still struggling. Every time I call 1152 O2, they tell me a different thing, no information, they hung up the calls.
I went to Movistar shops, tried all the resources available.
Pathetic.

One star is overrated for O2

Two weeks ago, i ordered a SIM for my phone. O2 had said they would take up to 5 working days to deliver it. Which in Spain means two weeks if you take in account the end of the year holidays.
First, they were gonna send to my former address, even though I had filled out with the updated info.
Then after many days, I called them asking If I could just go to the physical store to pick up the SIM, cuz I needed it urgently and they were taking too long.
Yesterday was the final date, and I decided to call O2, and for my surprise, the staff told me it was cancelled due to delivery failure.
My partner and I both work from home, and we have a concierge/doorman service too. Nobody heard the doorbell.
Plus, why they didn't contact me through email or my other phone number that i gave them when the SIM was requested?why didn't I get notified that it was cancelled and they just gave up on providing me a service???
I have been without a SIM for longer than two weeks now.

Honestly is the best provider we ever had. We came from Oliver Net and it was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE, we would go hours without internet. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

edit: we had an issue with our robot vacumm cleaner and it basically damaged the router cable and we got left with no internet. Thatw as around 00 or so. The next day the technician was at our place at 12 pm to solve the issue. They are SUPER FAST AND RELIABLE, I would recomend them 10000x

Poor Customer Service & Slow Response Times

Wifi stopped working due to wifi connection problems on Friday afternoon, I called the O2 support line at 14h, explained the problem, my information and was told to wait while first try to remotely fix the problem, and that if there is a technician required they will contact me “as soon as possible”. Movistar and O2 have a 48 hour breakdown/problem “resolution” period, which essentially means they won’t care to do anything for around 48 hours. I have been waiting to be contacted by a technician for a full day now, knowing they could have contacted me and been at the house that very Friday afternoon to assess the situation and begin the solution. From previous experience with Movistar technicians, when they took a week to install and set up my Fija and wifi connection, the technician made it clear there is little to no communication from management to employees, and the technicians are not equipped with enough information on each case. The company is clearly not worried about the well-being or satisfaction of their clients, should they have to wait days, weeks or months for their solutions, leaving them with no internet connection, no support and no communication. I would strongly advise considering other internet providers that can ensure better client satisfaction, problem resolution and overall communication and respect for not only their clients, but their technicians and employees as well. I thought Movistar had already disappointed me well enough after trying to simply get my wifi installed in a new apartment, but this week they have gone above & beyond my wildest expectations of a careless company. I am still waiting to be contacted by any technician, to merely set an appointment for the router to be fixed, as it seems the technicians are either very shy, or the company lacks the proper communication, care & consideration for its clients & employees. If I could give this experience 0 stars, I would, as I am still unsure when or if my problem will even be fixed, and if I will be able to have wifi connection to continue with my life and deadlines. Horrible.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service . Got to Spain and immediately had no phone service at all even a text . Spent three days of my holiday calling them . No one calls back . Iv given up because it’s ruined my holiday . Still haven’t been able to sort out the problem. Luckily was able to connect to the apartment internet but as soon as I leave the phone is useless . Now found out I’m in another 24 month contract and I wanted to leave asap so not happy at all .

Horrible Cancellation Service

After around 50 emails and phone calls to cancel our services they still keep sending bills. This includes sending proof of the return of our modem at at least 5 times. Each time it is like they have no memory of any of the previous correspondence. Completely frustrating. Stay away.

My Experience in TENERIFE is OK with O2

My PERSONAL Experience in TENERIFE was good. I chosed this company because of good price and Fibre internet speed. Also I have their sim card and I have free calls included in my plan. Half year has passed and everything is ok for now. I never have called customer servise and I had no problems at all at the moment. So for now my experince is good and I am happy.

Abysmal customer service. Unreliable internet.

Abysmal customer service. Unreliable connection, in the last month the internet went down twice, (four times in the last year) they didn´t solve the problem until I pushed and pushed for days. Sent me another router, didn´t work, less than a month after, internet is down again. They said they were sending a technician. Never showed up. Lost my time waiting for nothing. The customer support on whatsapp is a joke. On email is even worst. I regret changing to O2 so much, I´m going back to my previous provider. In five years never had as many issues as with this company in less than a year.

Terrible home fiber and 2 phones

We've been having a contract for home internet and 2 mobile phones for about 6 months, and they both have unacceptable service! The home internet is completely unreliable, if I ever need to work from home I have to use my mobile data - which again it's terrible because despite showing the signal, the connection is either super slow or non-existent.
We tried calling multiple times, they restart the network every single time and nothing changes. Very unhappy with the service.

Don't understand all the bad reviews

Ordered online, had a site visit the next working day. Full install by "Jimmy" the next day, who couldn't have been more courteous or helpful in getting us up and running quickly and efficiently.

Jimmy was happy to show us how to get our devices working and left everything as he found it, except for the shiny new router!

The speed, which we check periodically, has been bang on (300 MB) and no service disruptions.

Not sure what more we could ask for.

Addendum:

It's been faultless for 9 months, but suddenly the exfernal fibre cable became dameged, serveice was lost.

Within 2 hours of reporting the fault, 2 guys were on site, withiin 3 hours, the cable was completely replaced from sfreet level to sixth floor flat and service resumed.

Best service we've had from any ISP.

I ordered a line of fiber+ phone

I ordered a line of fiber+ phone. I've been waiting for more than 3 month to get the final installation of the fiber. They keep on re-booking and cancelling the installation date without any prior notice, and just with few hours before the date agreed. I called 7 times and they just keep on saying that the company in charge of the change is noticed and they cannot do much more. I would definitely not recommend anyone to purchase anything from them. Lack of respect for customer and their time.
