Avoid seekahost servers
Avoid seekahost servers – Just a Cheap OVH Reseller
Signed up thinking I was getting a seekahost VPS — turns out they’re just reselling OVH servers, which I had trouble with back in 2018. Nothing’s changed. The server was cheap and unstable from the start. Constant crashes and reliability issues.
When I realised it was OVH again, I flagged it to support straight away. They offered to reinstall Windows and rebuild the server, which they did — it worked for a while, but then the same problems came back. More crashes, more downtime.
Eventually I told them I wanted to cancel and they promised a refund. I replied confirming the cancellation and… nothing. No reply, no refund. Silence.
Bottom line: Avoid OVH-based servers full stop. And avoid seekahost — you’re not getting what you think you’re paying for.
The customer service was ok very fast response. But not when it come down to refund

In this case, the VPS was running normally on our end, but the Windows OS within the VPS was encountering crashes that can sometimes occur if an application demands more resources than available, or if there’s an OS-level issue. Our technical team promptly suggested an OS reinstallation to resolve the problem fully. However, since our backup solution captures the entire VPS (including the OS files), we recommended backing up application data separately before reinstalling.
We understand that you preferred we handle the backup, but as a standard security measure, we cannot access or manage customer data directly without explicit confirmation. You later applied for cancellation after 15 days of usage, and our team responded with clarification of what's causing this. Unfortunately, we did not receive a follow-up to that ticket, so the service remained active until the due date, after which it was cancelled automatically.
While OVH is one of our trusted server partners, all SeekaHost VPS plans run on our own virtualization technology, with our support and management. Many of our clients find this combination reliable and cost-effective.
We truly value every customer’s experience and are committed to resolving any issue quickly. Our support team remains available 24/7 to help ensure the best possible service for all clients.
