Being client for about few months I had…

Being client for about few months I had the worst experience in my life with a banque, I know it's in France but such miserable clients approach has never encountered in my life! In about for month I paid like 300 euros fees, and their time to process a wired transfer it takes like a week. Never get in touch with them. Extorsion undercover!

Go somewhere else...

Very bad bank ! I wanted to pay with my "payment" card, but it was not possible due to a technical error...

Very useful when you want to do shopping !

I will choose another bank, a "payment" card which can't be used to pay... a joke.

I started banking with CIC recently

I started banking with CIC recently. I couldn’t recommend CIC highly enough, I was greeted with respect and warmth. A Lady named Pauline dealt with my Business, Pauline was so lovely, welcoming , warm and extremely professional. Pauline went above and beyond to assist me in every way she could. I highly recommend banking with CIC. Their professionalism and friendliness makes all the difference when choosing your Bank.
I highly recommend CIC Bank.

Bad Client Service, bad rates,

This is a bank that reigns on misleading advertising, inundating the tv and radios with ads that seem to portray a bank listening, it is a closed up bank both in terms of mentality and services, in my view one of the worst banking experience, I was with them for 3 years and witnessed extremely bad customer service, outrageous rates, never listening to clients, its the kind of bank to avoid! When they actually answer the phone the personnel is mostly unfriendly and unhelpful

Mr Arnaud Mary at CIC Private Bank

Mr Arnaud Mary at CIC Private Bank, Grenoble is a terrible banker. He should be let go. His customer service skills are negligible. He was insulting ( asking me to find a new bank) and did not have the relevant information. I have been banking with CIC since 2006.

(English below) Evitez cette banque

(English below) Evitez cette banque.
EN: Avoid this bank. I used to live in Paris and I used this bank. Then I move to London and I kept my account there. It has been a constant fight with the customer service. Never a reply, never a clarification about investments, at the level that I had to give up even thinking about making an investment as I could not get any answer. Recently, I had so many problems with a transfer - basically they charged me over 10% of the amount and they did not even show these fees in the account so I thought I was the victim of a scam because I could not trace that money. Finally they candidly said that it was my mistake and they took this horrendous fees without even warning that there was a problem. Avoid and look for some reliable bank! Transparency is not something obvious for CIC...

Avoid this bank like the plague!

Avoid this bank like the plague!! Especially if you are overseas and hold a CIC account in France.
Easy to put your money in but they make it extremely difficult to take your money OUT! They have a maximum wire amount you cannot exceed, the only way to wire above 3,000 Euro is to show up in person...which, for me, would mean a flight from the USA to France, they should offer to pay for plane ticket and hotel in this case! Lol
I opened a FREE checking account and have had to argue with them repeatedly over the years about removing the monthly fees they were sneaking in, not to mention a refund for those illegal fees!
Customer service is awful, the bank has gone downhill over the years.
Have banked here for more than 20 years. Can't wait to close the account, which in itself will probably be an uphill battle no doubt.
I wholeheartedly agree with the many other 1 star reviews.

Absolutely dreadful!!

Absolutely dreadful!!! Opened an account in Paris in October 2022, signed a devis for car insurance which should be 51euros a month, now paying over 160euros a month! Our customer advisor was supposed to be finding out why we are paying more than the agreed amount, but despite 7+ emails, she isn't responding. Also do not like the fact that despite having a healthy amount in our account, they limit our spending transactions! When you ask for the daily amount to be increased, you get charged for the privelige and it doesn't always work, which when renovating a property, is very frustrating. Waiting for a house sale to go through in the UK, we will not be putting any of the funds in CIC.

This is very bad bank

This is very bad bank. Not any help. I want to get my refund. Been over 7 days and nothing. If you are from abroad using your visa card to withdraw money over machine then dont do it ! You put the number of fund but you got no money coming out from the machine and the fund detail you made is stuck in the account waiting for refund. You got to the bank asking but not help. So you dont know when you get your refund back. Bad bank ever! The staff is stupid, only said I dont know ! Stupid and with no respond, no responsible.

CIC in Villedieu Le Poeles has changed.

CIC in Villedieu Les Poeles has changed its paying in system. No longer can you credit your accounts inside at the desk - even when the bank is empty. No, you have to stand in the street, often in the pouring rain, and fumble around with envelopes and bits of paper - even if you've prepared beforehand. You may have thousands of euros to deposit, it makes no difference. (Look out for muggers!). Sometimes it takes days to see your accounts credited. You just have to hope that the envelopes don't get lost on their journey to the person who opens them. This bank used to be friendly and efficient. Their Customer Service is not what it once was. Now, I can't wait to leave it. I would not advise anyone to open accounts here.

Dont bank with CIC

If you live abroad and need a bank account in France DONT bank with CIC. They dont respond to requests for transfers, they won't let you take out your own money. This is a totally useless and unhelpful organisation. Today I was asked to go to my branch to make the transfer. I only live 1000 miles away!

Customer service

It has been 3 months since I requested that my card be sent to my U.K. address. I sent them all the necessary paperwork: still nothing. I’ve needed that card countless times In the interim. To say that I am angry is an understatement. Shoddy customer service, badly designed online banking platform and just useless. Dont join them. If you have, leave them.
