Bad experience unfortunately not with the store but with a store manager who was rude Miguel who refused to accept a day returned LG 27inch Monitor unwrapped with a damaged pin on the base. After heated verbal exchange and Abuse, as you enjoy the Black Friday sale a quick advice check that your appliances are functional as fast as possible even in the shop if possible. He eventually accepted to return to LG who should be responsible to accept a defect on their porduct, as he said he is not interested in good service on behalf of LG as a reseller.

Phone purchase
Bought a phone without any help from Darty personnel, although I asked 3 people for help. Before paying for the product, I asked the cashier if I could bring it back in case of an issue. He said yes.
I brought it back the next day and the SAV person told me that all sales were final if the box has been opened. I let him know that the cashier had not said that and he asked me to go ask him to take it back.
Ureasonable/unhelpful and RUDE personnel.

Lazy sales people & Darty Max lifetime contract.
If you want to get lazy salespeople and get hooked into their absurd service Darty Max then go. But if you want to get real advice on products - not just get pointed to the most expensive ones. Go elsewhere. But if you do decide to use DARTY then stay away from DARTY MAX the biggest rip-off you can imagine. Even though you sign a contract for one year the only way out of it is if you write to them! They do not tell you this, so if you think you have a one-year contract, you don't. It is for a lifetime unless you take the initiative to end it.

I ordered an air conditioning unit during a heat wave, Darty promised 2 day delivery or pick up ourselves. We chose 2 day delivery. I have just received an email from the transport company saying delivery will be in 7 days time instead of today.
Useless to me. Darty cannot be kept at their word.

8 Repairs. A Signed Letter Ignored. A Broken Appliance. Darty Has Failed.
I’ve reached the end of my patience with Darty.
In December 2023, I purchased a SMEG DIVA INOX induction oven—a product that turned out to be a manufacturing failure. Since then, Darty has sent repairmen to my home EIGHT times. Issues include a defective thermostat, an oven that couldn’t go over 100°C, a door that won’t close, and a cooktop burner that’s now completely non-functional.
I even sent Darty a formal, signed complaint letter by registered post, invoking my rights under French consumer law. No reply. No acknowledgment. Nothing.
Today, after the 8th technician visit, the repairman himself told me that “if it happens again, maybe they’ll consider store credit.” Maybe? After eight visits?
I have a Darty Max subscription, which is supposed to protect against exactly this kind of situation. But in reality, all it’s done is tie me into a cycle of repairs, inconvenience, and silence. Meanwhile, I’m left without a working oven—and I have two small children to feed.
This is not just unacceptable; it is a systemic failure of customer service, ethics, and professionalism. I urge anyone considering buying from Darty to think again. They sell defective products, ignore formal complaints, and leave families stranded.
Darty: You had eight chances to do the right thing. You failed every time.
DartyMax: A nightmare! Block this, Darty
Have a dishwasher covered under DartyMax. It stopped working. Contacted customer service, explained the situation. Was told still need to pay for a service visit plus costs. Received a text with the cost. Tried reaching via the Darty chat function to make an appointment. Message stated that all people were busy and to try later. Darty then sent me several satisfaction surveys -- about being told that no one was available! Huh? Tried one more time, and was told that I was blocked by Darty. Captured all this via screenshot. Enjoy this 1-star review, Darty.
Scam company
Bought a dishwasher they never answered sent it. I have sent 15 emails. Call 13 times and no response. Im starting a judicial demand to get my money back. Do t buy here

Dealing with Darty is a pleasure. They are a professional organisation, friendly and efficient. I usually wait until they have a deal on the item I want to buy but their prices are usually competitive.
