Products have the same name and look…

Products have the same name and look identical but there are different products for Apple and Android (Find My Device). Purchased the wrong one due to website being unclear. Refund did not include shipping which was significant given I live in Australia. Without Android Find My Device, the Pebblebee App is pretty useless.

You’re right that the visual similarity between our Apple and Android-compatible products can be unclear, and we’ve since updated our website to better highlight these differences before purchase. We’re also continuing to improve product labeling and compatibility guidance across all platforms. We now have the universal products that work for both Apple and Google and you don't have to differentiate them anymore.

We understand how disappointing it is to pay significant shipping fees, especially internationally, and not have them refunded after returning a product. While this is a common policy due to logistics costs, we know it can feel unfair in cases like yours, and we’re reviewing ways to handle these situations more thoughtfully.

Your point about the Pebblebee app without the Android Find My Device network is also valid. While the network is now improving globally, earlier availability gaps impacted many Android users. The Google Find Hub network is active, and live now and has been performing very well for most customers.

Useless for locating phone.

I purchased a pebblebee clip to help my elderly mother locate her phone when she leaves it unattended. The website promised this functionality but it simply doesn’t work well, if at all, even after taking the time to have a frustrating exchange with their customer support. Adding insult to injury, the company requires users to send back the device at their own expense AND they deduct a 20% restocking fee for any returns. Do not buy this product if you plan to use it as a phone locator.

We’re sorry to hear that the experience with the Clip didn’t meet your expectations, especially since it was intended to support your mother. That’s exactly the kind of use case we design for, and it’s disappointing to learn we fell short.

The phone-locating feature should work through a double-press on the Universal Clip when both devices are within Bluetooth range and permissions are properly set. However, we understand that reliability is key, and if the feature didn’t work consistently, that’s a serious concern. We’re continuing to improve functionality and user onboarding, especially for families supporting older adults.

As for the return process, your feedback is valid. While our policy does include a restocking fee and return shipping, we recognize that it can feel unfair when the product doesn’t deliver as expected. We're reviewing these policies to find a better balance between fairness and operational costs.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. They no longer support some of their older products and when I contacted the customer support the only solution they offered was to buy a new product from their website.

Garbage Products and Worse Support

Garbage products and worse support.

I purchased their wallet finder (BlackCard) at Costco. It worked for a few weeks. After an iOS app update, my wallet finder device configuration disappeared and I cannot re-add it.

Two messages to support and I haven't received a reply.
