Well here we are again three years ago I took out 3 bonds. A 1 year, a 2 year and a 3 year bond. In a few days the three year bond matures. As with my comments from when the other bonds matured. This... See more

Any procedure at Kent Reliance is smooth well explained by the staff. I have no worries in putting our money in their hands
Don't fall for these grifters. Their strategy is simple. They will attract you with a good rate. Once your term is up, they will automatically roll you onto a bad deal and send you a letter that will take ages to get to you. They won't call, text or email you because they won't want you to have time to shop around. Once the snail mail arrives, it will be too late to switch and they would keep you tied with a punitive exit fee (6 months of interest) even if you've only been on the rubbish product that they rolled you onto for just 3 weeks.
I wanted to open a Demelza account for my grandchild. After not hearing anything I chased up to find out that the application was cancelled. I had supplied proof and information, which had not been scanned properly, but was also told that more proof was required.
This is not a customer friendly or efficient approach.
Its poor customer service when you have to call up to find your application has been cancelled.
Website does not give date of interest payment or where it is paid to. Most other banks give this.
Interest rates keep reducing forcing one to keep changing accounts to get best rates.
I have opened several Fixed Rate Cash ISAs with Kent Reliance over the years and found the online process easy and straight forward. The interest rates offered were good and the company is regulated by the FSCS. Good communication and updates. Easy to contact via Secure message and replies usually received within 2 days.
Pleasant Staff efficiently dealt with my transaction
Good customer service and communication.
Competitive interest rates.
Smooth transition to new Cash ISA on maturity of previous. Rates competitive, even if not very highest, but did not wish to transfer to another provider for such a small difference.
No hassle. Transactions ie deposits and withdrawals dealt with efficiently.
Not a bad word to say about Kent Reliance and their staff, thank you 🙂
I tried to register as attorney on my mother's account and the process was slow and very unhelpful at a very painful and difficult time. I complained formally and this was acknowledged automatically by return, but after 8 weeks I had no reply. Phoning is impossible because they never answer and only offer a call back within 48 hours at a time to suit them, not the customer. So I chased by email and was told that a reply had been sent by regular mail a few days after the 8 week deadline and that a second copy would also be mailed. I waited and waited but this too didn't arrive. I chased a third time, now some 11 weeks after my complaint was acknowledged but, a week later, that third chasing email seems to have just been ignored. I find Kent Reliance in total chaos and wholly unresponsive and will now have to go to the hassle of escalating my complaint to the Ombudsman on the basis that Kent Reliance can't be bothered to reply.

Was more than happy to use KR but have started to withdraw my savings as the interest rate is no longer competitive

I wrote a review a year ago about different savings rates offered on renewal or to new customers, and eventually it was sorted after I’d made an official complaint. My husband and I stuck with them and renewed our existing cash ISAs for another year. Now they are up for renewal again. Although we both renewed them on the same date, my husband has been offered a renewal rate of 4.05%, and I’ve been offered 3.75%.
I sent a message through their website, asking for mine to be 4.05% too, they replied with a load of jargon which failed completely to answer the question. As a result we have both now told them that we will be transferring the funds to another provider, at 4.2%. So they have lost our custom.
Also if they send you an online message, there is no notification of this, and you would have to log in regularly to check them. And why on earth haven’t they got an app?
Not good for investment ! My experience using this bank has been a horrible one. The overall process with pay is not great and i will like to warn others to proceed with caution . Getting started with SPLC has been the best best decision i ever made , They always keep there promise and i will forever stick with them.

Opened an easy access account but they seem to have an issue with someone accessing their own money from their own account and was hounded with call after call and mail after mail despite my confirming with them the transactions were legitimate and them acknowledging that confirmation.
I don't intend to explain my use of my money.
Have now closed the account - no other financial institution has ever seemed to want to know my business as much as KR.

The choice of investment plans is good, I do find difficulty going online with all the different passwords to remember.
