Horrible service

My package was supposed to be delivered on 10.10 between 08:24 and 09:24 so I waited at home. At 09:35 I got an email that it could not be delivered even though no one rang my bell. For several days after the website then said that my package was “in delivery” and still supposed to be delivered “today” with the same date of 10.10, and I did not have the option of choosing a pickup shop.

Today, again, the package was supposed to arrive between 08:34 und 09:34 and no one rang the bell. At 09:35, I got an email that the package could not be delivered, so in my desperation I went to the website to change the location to a pickup shop. I then received a email saying that DPD accepted this request.

However, I have just checked the DPD tracking website and it says that my package was rejected and will be going back to the sender. Further, every time I checked the map, the delivery van icon never approached my neighborhood even remotely.

This has been incredibly frustrating, unacceptable, and a waste of my time.

Dpd sucks!

This company sucks!
They keep sending emails with the estimated delivery time, and then, when the time comes, you get a message saying they didn't find you at home and they'll leave the package in a warehouse for collection!
You suck, and I will never buy from companies that use this courier again!

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company, here in Germany. Are you hiring your people by asking: who's willing to the the least possible at their job? Two days in a row lying how they're trying to reach me, for a parcel that doesn't need you to contact me. Just leave it in front of the door, as it said on my profile, as I told you when contacted you. Today another one. Didn't even bother to bring that little paper. Just said, it's waiting for you to pick it up. In a town 11km from me!!! You are a shame. There was no issue, just someone that was lazy and was dealing with the lite parcels, and for a heavy one, I already paid the delivery - I'm driving to get it. On all of my accounts it is going to be written NO DPD. Disgrace

The worse delivery service I had…

The worse delivery service I had experience to use in germany.
I get notifications that the courier could not reach me out, so I called to the hot line saying, it is not true I am sitting home and waiting for my package, nobody called or left the note in mailbox. They are so sorry the package will be delivered today to the coffee shop they chosen, 15 km from my home. Okay I went to the coffee shop before closing, no package. Calling again DPD, the lady on the phone said Saturday. And she informed me that the courier never reached my city, this what I asked specifically to check his gps because I either I am crazy or he was not here. Today is Saturday, I called DPD because my package is still in the DPD center. The package will not be delivered today (Saturday) it will be on Monday. Okay so I want to deliver the package to my house as courier never tried so I have a right to have my package to deliver to my house as it should be. No, option does not exist only the coffee place 15 km from my house is the option.
They are ridiculous, useless and disappointing. The worse delivery provider in my life.

AVOID - SCAMMERS
If i could give 0 stars i would go for it.
They clearly steal money claims that package was almost twice as declared and charged me tripled amount i already paid (i paid for big package). Unfortunately i had no pictures of this box when i send it… It is still not that big money to ask for lawsuits but i was just scammed and could do nothing about it.
I will avoid this company next time and advice you to do the same.

Automatic redirection of shipments without approvals

I was at home and waiting for the parcel but it was redirected to paket pickup shop !!No one rang the doorbell !!
I was continuously tracking the delivery, its 4 stops away from me around 11:50 am and then all of sudden it has been rerouted to pickup shop!!! And I get to know this by an email at 12.04pm.I stayed at home specially during the given time frame just to receive the packet and DPD simply redirected it to the pickup shop ??? This is highly unprofessional .

its not my fault that the delivery guy didn’t even bother to make an attempt of delivery.
There was no Information letter about the pickup details left in the postbox as well. Every forwarder does that.

This simply proves the laziness of Dpd personnel and that no attempt of delivery was even attempted!!

Also, I ahd have raised complaint immediately with DPD but as expected no feedback yet from them…

Please be aware and do not opt for DPD ever. Please use other forwarders which are atleast reliable.

Not using the postcode to verify address

I ordered something from a German company, and they used DPD to ship it to Portugal. In Portugal, it’s common for different places to share the same name, so the postcode is essential to identify the correct location. It seems that DPD relies only on the address and ignores the postcode when verifying deliveries. As a result, my package is now scheduled to be delivered about 600 km away from me. I’ve already tried to correct this by calling, emailing, and using their web form, but I haven’t received any response. I also tried contacting DPD Portugal, but they told me I need to resolve the issue with DPD Germany. How does that make sense for a so-called global company?

They never leave packages at the residence.

I don't understand how such a terrible service can still be operating. They don't bother to deliver the mail to the right place and always leave it at their nearest office.

This is now the tenth time they haven't left the package at my house. They've never even rung the doorbell, and it's the only delivery company I've had problems with for a year. Only once did they leave the package at my house because it was a piece of furniture, and I had to go back several times until they delivered it to my home.

Whenever I can choose, I select any other supplier.
