Bought a Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream on Vinted and it turned out to be FAKE. I paid a buyer protection fee, but still had to pay out of my own pocket to return a counterfeit item.

How is that “buyer protection”? The seller sends a fake, and I’m the one stuck with the cost. Terrible support, zero accountability. Won’t be buying on Vinted again.

I am fairly new to Vinted and appalled by untrustworthy sellers on this site. The buyer protection is a total rip off and customer service is non existent. I have received 2 items this week that were very clearly not as advertised and I am well out of pocket. Buyers have to pay return postage costs through no fault of their own. Vinted is very unsafe for a buyer as they allow dishonesty from sellers and don't uphold the buyer protection fee. I will be sticking with Ebay and Amazon in future as they support the buyer rightfully (the paying customer) Vinted are an illegal disgrace.

Absolutely awful customer service. returning goods that are either broken or wrongly advertised is impossible. They use Yodel and In post who are literally the worst postal service on the planet. Another online company, set up to make money for themselves with no regard for buyers or sellers, who only want to line their own pockets , because they know they can get away with it.

Vinted customer service is non-existent.

I purchased a rather expensive pair of trainers and paid for buyer protection. The shoes are fake and there is quite obvious proof, I have provided the proof to Vinted including a certificate from certilogo that states these shoes are fake. The seller has previous reviews stating items they have sold are fake (I should have checked before purchasing) and there is a fake QR code and fake product number on the item, I have also checked with the brand of the shoes and they have also confirmed that the item is counterfeit.

Vinted however have refused to acknowledge this and are asking me to return the item to the seller (at my own cost!) despite this being illegal in the UK and giving the seller the opportunity to further scam me by claiming an issue once they collect the item. Which have no doubt will happen if I have to return the item to them!

Buyers beware when purchasing expensive items off Vinted. There is absolutely no protection. The only customer service is automated bots that are programmed to simply refuse refunds to buyers. I have contacted both via the app, website and through their legal team to no avail.

Bought an item on the 26th of September still not received item items stuck in warehouse. Must wait till the 30th of October 2025

A delivery arrived while I was away, after 2 days the wont give any support if you have been defrauded by a seller as its over 2 days.
The buyer protection is a long way from that if you dont reply with in 2 days of receipt.
If like me you work away or are on holiday and can't reply.. tough.
Customer service is a joke.
Buyer protection is not worth what it implies.
Be safe use Ebay, they actually listen.
Vinted dont really care, my 2nd experiece the them.
Never using them again and I recommend you avoid buying anything.

I bought an item on Vinted, to be delivered by Evri. It was not delivered and no proof of delivery was provided. It was, quite simply, lost. I didn’t raise the problem with Vinted in line with their timescale. They now refuse to look into it for me, signposting me back to Evri. Evri refuse to deal with it, signposting me back to Vinted. It’s not fair that you pay for something you don’t receive and nobody will help or try to assist.

Joined Vinted filled in all my details , then placed one add just as a trial. within 10mins it came up with a message my account was Banned. Nice way to treat new customers . I assume it that Stupid ai thing again gone wrong.

I’ve been waiting for seller compensation since 26 Sept for a lost parcel I posted on 3 Sept. The buyer was refunded and Vinted confirmed I’d be paid, but the money never appeared. My support ticket was closed and I can’t contact anyone — only automated replies. Absolutely appalling customer service. I’m amazed they can operate.

Awful service. If you’re a seller please just sell clothes nothing else.if The courier or post during the transit damage your item it will always be your fault. They’re useless. Stay away from it

Evri failed to delivery something I purchased due to no space in locker, Vinted marked as received and released money to the seller and have refused to issue a refund. Item often get lost or never arrive too

Their policy only works for themselves and sellers. If sellers to sell crap, faulty, damaged items. Vinted is not there to solve and support. In fact they process the transaction and release money to the unworthy sellers and earn on their fees policy or buyers forced to pay return postage when there is no their fault. I had been buying on Vinted since 2022. And lately I am suffering badly. Loosing too much money. Most disappointing that there is no my fault! Yet there is no support. The policy built in that condition that only works for successful sales. Vinted is clearly not interested in supporting buyers rights. Buyers have no protection no right on Vinted platform.

Terrible customer service.
My order never arrived. You have to wait a month to raise an issue. Once I did Vinted replied was that the seller needs to get in touch so they look into it! I have not way to get my money.

There is no buyer protection at all even for orders above £100.. use eBay or Depop or Vestiaire Collective.
